ABSTRACT

Transition metal complexes of Co [II], Cu [II], Ni [II] and Zn [II] with the leaves extract of naturally occurring herbal plant species zizyphus spina - christi of family Rhamnaceae have been prepared and screened for their antibacterial activity against bacterial species Escherichia coli, Proteus vulgaris, Staphylococcus - aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Bacillus subtilis. The antibacterial results of these studies have shown an impressive increase of Antimicrobial activity observed by the metal complexes in comparison to the simple leaves extract

ABSTRACT

Various cobalt [II], copper [II], nickel [II] and zinc [II] metal complexes of citrullus and cuminum cyminum plant extract have been synthesized and screened against a number of bacterial species such as streptococcus pyogenes, escherichia coli, bacillus tuberculi, gonococcus, pseudomonas aeruginosa and bacillus subtilis. The pharmacological assay show the metal complexes to be more potent antimicrobials than the pure plant extract

ABSTRACT

Co[ll], Ni[ll], Mn[ll] and Zn[II] complexes of the extract of Zizyphus sativa fruit have been prepared and tested against bacterial species Escherichia coli, Proteus vulgaris, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Bacillus subtilis. The antimicrobial studies significantly show the metal-extract to be more potent antibacterial than the uncomplexed extract

ABSTRACT

A number of cobalt [II], nickel [II], copper [II] and zinc [II] complexes of aminoglycoside class of antibiotics such as, gentamycine and streptomycine have been synthesised: The antimicrobial studies of these metal-antibiotic complexes against bacterial species staphylococcus aureus, staphylococcus proteus, pseudomonas aeruginosa, klebsiella pnemonae and escherchia coli have shown to be more active and antimicrobial than the pure uncomplexed antibiotics

ABSTRACT

Cobalt, nickel, copper and zinc complexes of tetracvcline class of antibiotics such as oxytetracyline, tetrabid, vibramycine and chlortetracycline have been synthesised and tested against bacterial species staphylococcous pseudomonas aeruginosa and klebsella, pneumonae. The screening studies significantly show that the metal complexes of these antibacterial have more potent antibacterial effect than the simple uncomplexed tetracycline
