ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the the effect of psychological intervention on emotion and postoperative bladder spasm in elderly patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia. Methods 40 elderly cases with benign prostatic hyperplasia were classified as the control group and were given the routine intervention, the other 40 cases were received psychological intervention at the basis of routine intervention and classified as the observation group. The two groups were treated in Anji county traditional Chinese medicine hospital from September 2015 to January 2017. Results The anxiety and depression in the 2 groups had no significant difference before intervention, and the prognosis in the observation group was better than that in the observation group after intervention. The bladder spasm in the two groups was compared. The third days after the operation, the incidence of bladder spasm in the observation group was 10.0%, which was significantly lower than 45.0% in the control group, and the difference between the 2 groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Psychological intervention has better effect on mood and bladder spasm in elderly patients with prostate hyperplasia. It can help patients to improve their emotional state, reduce anxiety and depression, and ultimately reduce the incidence of bladder spasm, which is worthy of clinical reference.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of solifenacin in the treatment of bladder spasm after surgical operation of chlidren hypospadias. Methods From January 2014 to May 2015,60 cases of children more than 4 years old after surgical operation of hypospadias who had symptom of bladder spasm on the day of surgery were assigned into the study group (n =30) and control group (n =30),based on simple randomization. On the first day,the frequency of spasm, the duration of spasm and the incidence of urine extravasation were recorded regarded as the first day condition of bladder spasm.Patients in the study group were treated with solifenacin (5 mg once daily) for a nine days period from l th day postoperation.Patients in the control group were not treated with solifenacin. The frequency of spasm, the duration of spasm and the incidence of urine extravasation of the two groups were recorded and compared on the 3th and 9th day.Adverse events with solifenacin of two groups were recorded. The function of liver and kidney in the study group were recorded and compared. Results There were statistically significant differences(P <0.01) in favor of the study group over the control group in the aspect of the frequency of spasm, the duration of spasm and the incidence of urine extravasation on the 3th and 9th day.In the study group, the data compared among l th,3th and 9th was statistically significantly different, opposite to the control group. There was no statistically significant difference between the liver and kidney function of preoperation and the 9th day in the study group. The frequency of adverse events between two groups had no statistically significant difference. Conclusions Solifenacin is effective and safe in the treatment of bladder spasm after surgical operation of chlidren hypospadias

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the failure causes of bladder spasm after bladder cancer and prostate operation with epidural self-controlled analgesia pump and ifnd countermeasures. Methods From March 2010 to March 2016, 302 patients were adopted PCEA after transurethral resection of bladder tumor and prostate to prevent bladder spasm while failed in 18 cases and occurred bladder spasm. Among the 18 cases, 2 cases because of power loss of the pump, 3 cases occurred slippage of epidural catheter, 2 cases suffered catheter obstruction, 2 cases suffered joint leakage, 3 cases of deifciency of anesthetic dose formula, 2 cases of incomplete analgesia, 4 cases of chemotherapy drug stimulation. All the patients were relieved from countermeasures. Results In the 18 patients, the countermeasures were effective and satisfactory, with no serious complications such as severe hematuria, urinary tract infection and ifstula infection occurred. Conclusions PCEA prevent postoperative bladder spasm with deifnite effect. If the postoperative analgesia effect is poor, then we should analyze the reasons timely and ifnd countermeasures to avoid serious complications.

ABSTRACT

@#Objective To explore the effect of Drotaverine hydrochloride on preventing bladder spasm after transurethral prostatectomy. Methods 124 patients after transurethral prostatectomy were divided into patient-controlled epidural analgesia pump group (group I, n=61) and Drotaverine hydrochloride group (group II, n=63). Group I received bupivacaine by patient-controlled epidural analgesia, and the pump was withdrawed after 72 h. Group II received Drotaverine hydrochloride by intramuscular injection, 80 mg every 12 h, and then orally taken after anal exhaust for 3 days. Bladder spasm and adverse reaction were recorded in both groups. Results There was no significant difference in bladder spasm between group I (11.48%) and group II (12.70%) (P>0.05), as well as in side reaction between group I (16.39%) and group II (17.46%) (P>0.05). Conclusion Drotaverine hydrochloride is effective on preventing bladder spasm after transurethral resection of the prostate, with small side effect.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of tolterodine in preventing bladder spasm during the operation to BPH.Methods One hundred and twelve cases of BPH patients were randomized to two groups:56 cases in one group were prescribed tolterodine 4-5 d before operation and 3-4 d after operation (2 mg twice daily),another 56 cases did not take any anti-spasm drugs. The bladder spasm occurring or not, frequency and continuing time of bladder were evaluated and recorded. Results In the controlling group:the non bladder spasm in 12.5% (7/56),mild bladder spasm in 14.3% (8/56),severe bladder spasm in 73.3% (41/56),In the treatment group:non bladder spasm in 87.5% (49/ 56),mild bladder spasm in 8.9% (5/56),severe bladder spasm in 3.6% (2/56).There was signifi-cant difference between the 2 groups (P<0.001).Conclusion Tolterodine could alleviate bladder spasm around the operation to BPH.
