ABSTRACT

The innovation of Chinese materia medica (CMM) industry must abandon the traditional development model, clarify the connotation of green value of CMM industry supply chain, identify the improvement point of green value, innovate CMM green supply chain model, and realize the unity of economic value and environmental value of CMM industry. On the basis of analyzing the current situation of CMM green supply chain, we constructed the green value flow model of the CMM supply chain, meanwhile, analyzed the green value strategy by using the analytic hierarchy method to improve the green value strategy of the CMM supply chain, and then identified the strategy and mechanism to develop the green productivity of the CMM industry, and provided a reference for the green value creation and promotion of the CMM supply chain.

ABSTRACT

With the increase in population and depletion of resources, the wild resources of Chinese materia medica are not enough to meet the demand of human, so the cultivated resources become a major source, resulting in severe degradation of herbal medicine quality. It poses a serious threat to traditional Chinese medicine with thousands of years of history. The cultivation is the most basic and effective means to solve the shortage of resources, and improving the quality of the cultivated medicinal materials is the key to deal with this problem. In this paper, the current production and developments of herbal medicine were discussed, the problems of blindly expanding planting area, lack of enough attention to germ plasm resource and advanced production technology were prevalent. The idea of improving the quality and yield of cultivated medicinal materials was put forward. On the premise of improving the quality and yield of medicinal materials, the cultivation of Chinese medicinal materials should optimize the planting area, standardize the cultivation of fine high-quality germplasm, improve the production technology of high-quality medicinal materials, and expand the application market of Chinese materia medica to expand Chinese traditional culture.

ABSTRACT

Chinese materia medica (CMM) and pieces of Chinese medicine are important composition of National Essential Drugs List, which also embodys the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). National Essential Drugs List is well known for its "safe, necessary, effective, inexpensive", but some chemicals in the list are often short of supply because of their low cost. Usually, Chinese patent medicine composes of more ingredients in prescription, among which there is a complementary price and the price fluctuation is in the normal range. But in recent years, some CMM prices experience massive run-ups followed by precipitous falls, which results in medicine manufacturers stopping production. The effect of short-term rising on feed quality can not be ignored. This article discusses the necessity and feasibility of early warning methods for the essential Chinese medicine supply based on National Census of CMM Resource Survey, and this method is explained and demonstrated with Compound Danshen Tablets as example.
