ABSTRACT

RESUMEN: Dada la expansión de la pandemia por COVID-19, se han implementado diversas medidas restrictivas, las cuales han afectado todos los ámbitos, incluido el educacional. A nivel internacional, las universidades han realizado diversos ajustes a sus programas curriculares para adaptarse a esta situación, siendo la carrera de Odontología particularmente afectada a causa de los cierres de clínicas y retraso en la adquisición de competencias clínicas. El objetivo del estudio es describir los principales ajustes curriculares de las carreras de Odontología de universidades chilenas, realizadas en periodo de pandemia en el año 2020, recopiladas a través de una encuesta. Se realizó un estudio observacional descriptivo, a través de una encuesta enviada a todos los representantes de las escuelas de Odontología de universidades chilenas. Se recopiló información sobre el contexto sanitario local, accesibilidad a las clínicas odontológicas, disponibilidad de tratamientos, vía de enseñanza, apoyo al bienestar mental e implicaciones futuras en la educación dental. De las 27 escuelas de Odontología nacionales, se obtuvieron 23 respuestas. Un 57% de las escuelas tuvo limitaciones en el acceso y en el tipo de tratamientos odontológicos realizados en sus centros clínicos. Todas las escuelas implementaron una modalidad online para reemplazar las actividades lectivas presenciales y un 42 % realizó actividades clínicas presenciales durante el año 2020. Todas las evaluaciones teóricas fueron realizadas de forma online, y un 82 % de las evaluaciones de competencias clínicas se retrasaron para ser realizadas posteriormente. Debido a las medidas restrictivas de la pandemia, las clases presenciales, evaluaciones teóricas y algunas actividades prácticas se realizaron en modalidad online. Dependiendo del contexto comunal y políticas internas universitarias, algunas escuelas de odontología pudieron realizar actividades prácticas presenciales. El plan de estudios académico en las escuelas de odontología se ha visto afectado de diferentes maneras como resultado de la pandemia de COVID-19.


ABSTRACT: The COVID-19 pandemic has caused several disruptions in medical education worldwide. Universities made curricular adjustments in order to adapt to this situation. Dentistry has been particularly affected by the lockdown measures resulting in the closure of dental clinics and the disruption of face to face personal training of students. The objective of this study was to describe the main curriculum adjustments made by the dental schools in Chile during 2020. A cross-sectional online survey was carried out which included representatives from all Dental Schools in Chilean Universities. The survey requested information related to local sanitary situations, accessibility to dental clinics, availability of treatments, teaching modality, support for mental well-being and future implications of dental education. Of 27 dental schools a total of 23 responses were received. It was found that 57 % of schools had limited access to dental clinics. All schools had implemented online modality to replace face-to-face theoretical training, 42 % were able to conduct clinical activities during 2020 and 82 % of clinical competency assessments were postponed. Due to the restrictive measures of the pandemic, the face-to-face classes, theoretical evaluations and some practical activities were performed online. Depending on the communal context, dental schools were able to execute practical activities. The academic curriculum in dental schools has been severely affected in different ways as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

ABSTRACT

RESUMEN El objetivo de este artículo de investigación es conceptualizar la Hoja de vida de lector como instrumento de evaluación formativa al inicio de la Educación Superior: Con el fin lograr tal propósito, el Grupo de Investigación Cultura y Narración en Colombia (Cuynaco) se basa en el paradigma hermenéutico-interpretativo de las Ciencias Sociales y en el método documental de investigación con carácter proyectivo. Por tanto, se realiza, en primer lugar una revisión de la literatura en torno a instrumentos de valoración metacognitiva; por la escasez de investigaciones al respecto, se propone una aproximación al análisis bibliométrico del tema y un diálogo entre los instrumentos de evaluación hallados. En segundo lugar se expone una aproximación teórica alrededor de conceptos tales como Hoja de vida, Lector y Evaluación formativa A partir de lo anterior, surge la definición de Hoja de vida de lector como un instrumento metacognitivo con características formativas particulares en comparación con los existentes.


ABSTRACT The aim of this research article is to conceptualize the Reader Curriculum Vitae as a formative assessment tool for at the beginning of University. In order to achieve this purpose, the Research group Cuynaco bases its study on the Social Science hermeneutical approach and a documentary and projective review. Therefore, first of all, the research group conducts a literature review around metacognitive assessment tools. Due to a few studies, the group proposes an approach to the bibliometric analysis of the topic and a discussion among the found assessment tools. Second, it sets out a theoretical approach around concepts such as Curriculum Vitae, Reader and Formative Assessment. Based on the foregoing, it presents the definition of Reader Curriculum Vitae, as a metacognitive tool with particular formative characteristics, compared with the existing ones.


RESUMO O objectivo deste artigo de investigação é conceptualizar o Currículo do Leitor como um instrumento de avaliação formativa no início do Ensino Superior Para alcançar tal objectivo, o Grupo de Investigação Cultura e Narração na Colômbia (Cuynaco) baseia-se no paradigma hermenêutico-interpretativo das Ciências Sociais e no método documental de investigação com carácter projectivo. Assim, em primeiro lugar é feita uma revisão da literatura sobre instrumentos de avaliação metacognitiva; devido à escassez de investigação sobre o tema, propõe-se uma abordagem à análise bibliométrica do tema e um diálogo entre os instrumentos de avaliação encontrados. Em segundo lugar, é apresentada uma abordagem teórica em torno de conceitos tais como Folha de Vida, Leitor e Avaliação Formativa. Do acima exposto, emerge a definição da Folha de Vida do Leitor como um instrumento metacognitivo com características formativas particulares em comparação com os existentes.

ABSTRACT

Los sistemas de información curricular se han convertido en instrumentos valiosos para obtener indicadores de medición del conocimiento resultantes de las diferentes actividades científicas, ya que permiten describir el comportamiento interdisciplinario del conocimiento y su influencia en el desarrollo de la ciencia en la institución o región donde se aplique esta herramienta. En la actualidad, deslumbran experiencias de integración regional e interinstitucional que marcan pautas a seguir para la elaboración de indicadores normalizados, así como el establecimiento de formas de gestionar la ciencia en instituciones universitarias desde una perspectiva integrada en sus procesos académicos, investigativos y extensionistas vinculados con la región que la rodea. La presente revisión profundiza en estas cuestiones con el objetivo de analizar las experiencias que existen en Iberoamérica en este tipo de plataforma y su utilización como herramienta en la gestión de la ciencia y la tecnología a nivel institucional y regional. Mediante el análisis documental se logró mostrar las características de estos sistemas favorables a la medición y a la gestión de la ciencia a nivel institucional y regional. Estas herramientas seguirán siendo verdaderos instrumentos integradores que valoran el comportamiento de la ciencia a nivel individual-institucional-regional y poseen la bondad de integrar los procesos universitarios tradicionales: academia-investigación-extensión(AU)


Curricular information systems have become valuable tools to obtain knowledge measurement indicators resulting from the different scientific activities, for they make it possible to describe interdisciplinary knowledge behavior and its influence upon the development of science in the institution or region where they are applied. The impressive regional and interinstitutional integration experiences in this field have laid the foundations for the development of standardized indicators, as well as the establishment of ways to manage science in university institutions from a perspective integrated into their academic, research and extension processes linked to the surrounding region. The present review explores these matters with the purpose of analyzing Ibero-American experiences with this type of platform and its use as a tool for the management of science and technology on an institutional and regional level. Document analysis was used to show the main features of these systems for the measurement and management of science on an institutional and regional level. These tools will continue to be truly integrating instruments to assess the behavior of science on an individual-institutional-regional level, with the added advantage of integrating traditional university processes: academic activity - research - extension(AU)

ABSTRACT

La Resolución No 210 de 2007 del Ministerio de Educación Superior establece el Reglamento para el trabajo docente metodológico en las instituciones universitarias cubanas, cuyo conocimiento es indispensable para sus profesores y, en particular, para los miembros de los tribunales de promoción de las categorías docentes, así como para los que optan por las categorías principales de titular, auxiliar y asistente, a tenor de lo dispuesto en la Resolución No 88 de 2016. En este artículo se identifican diferentes aspectos concernientes al plan de estudios de las carreras universitarias, según lo establecido en la legislación vigente, y se comenta la realización de la exposición crítica o disertación sobre el programa de una asignatura, lo que puede ser de utilidad en estos procesos de promoción de categorías docentes.


The Resolution No 210 of 2007 of the Ministry of Higher Education establishes the Regulation for the methodological educational work in the Cuban university institutions which knowledge is essential for its professors and, in particular, for the promotion boards members of teaching categories, as well as for those that apply for the main categories of associate, instructor and assistant professor, in accordance with the Resolution No 88 of 2016. In this work different aspects concerning the curriculum of the university careers are identified, according to what is established in the existing legislation, and the implementation of the critical exhibition or dissertation on the subject program is commented, what can be useful in these promotion processes of teaching categories

ABSTRACT

Dentro das diversas maneiras de utilizar a abordagem biográfica, adotamos como material de pesquisa o Curriculum vitae (CV) de pesquisadores brasileiros que atuam como cientistas sociais da saúde. Estes CV fazem parte da Plataforma Lattes do CNPq (Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico), que inclui os Diretórios de Pesquisa e das Instituições. Neste trabalho são analisados 238 CV. Os CV contêm, entre outras, as seguintes informações: formação profissional, atividades e projetos, produção acadêmica, participação em bancas, núcleos e laboratórios de pesquisa, pequena autobiografia. Neste trabalho há breve revisão sobre a importância da auto/biografia para as ciências sociais, enfatizando o CV como uma forma de "prática autobiográfica". Destacamos como resultados: grupo formado predominantemente por mulheres, graduadas em ciências sociais, antropologia, sociologia ou ciência política, com pós-graduação; maior concentração de cientistas sociais nas regiões sul e sudeste; e em algumas instituições; atuação principal como docentes e pesquisadores; grande diversidade temática nas pesquisas.


Among the various ways of adopting the biographical approach, we used the curriculum vitaes (CVs) of Brazilian researchers who work as social scientists in health as our research material. These CVs are part of the Lattes Platform of CNPq - the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development, which includes Research and Institutional Directories. We analyzed 238 CVs for this study. The CVs contain, among other things, the following information: professional qualifications, activities and projects, academic production, participation in panels for the evaluation of theses and dissertations, research centers and laboratories and a summarized autobiography. In this work there is a brief review of the importance of autobiography for the social sciences, emphasizing the CV as a form of "autobiographical practice." We highlight some results, such as it being a group consisting predominantly of women, graduates in social sciences, anthropology, sociology or political science, with postgraduate degrees. The highest concentration of social scientists is located in Brazil's southern and southeastern regions. In some institutions the main activities of social scientists are as teachers and researchers with great thematic diversity in research.

ABSTRACT

Nesta pesquisa, investigam-se as escolhas de atividades formadoras feitas por estudantes de Medicina e seus motivos, com o fim de apreender a lógica dessas escolhas no contexto institucional em que se apresentam e no contexto social mais amplo das sociedades capitalistas atuais, onde se afirmam novos padrões de autorrealização, conforme as pesquisas de A. Ehrenberg. Assim, não só escutamos os estudantes, como também estivemos atentos às práticas e aos valores vigentes na faculdade estudada e a outros procedimentos indicados pelos entrevistados, entre eles a seleção para a residência médica. Parte-se de dados colhidos por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas com 12 alunos e mediante um questionário respondido por 156 dos 160 alunos que cursavam o oitavo período da Faculdade de Medicina estudada. A análise dos dados apoia-se em pesquisas similares e em estudos sobre as transformações atuais nos padrões de comportamento dos indivíduos na sociedade.


This research investigates the choices of the formative activities performed by medical students and their motives, in order to understand the reasons behind these choices in the institutional context in which they occur and in the broader social context of modern capitalist societies, where new standards of self-achievement have developed, according to A. Ehrenberg's research. Therefore, we not only listened to medical students, but also studied the prevailing values and practices adopted in the medical school investigated. Furthermore, other procedures mentioned by the interviewees were analyzed, including the selection criteria for medical residency. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with twelve medical students. Additionally, 156 of 160 fourth year medical students answered a survey about extracurricular activities. The data analysis was based on similar surveys and studies on current changes in the patterns of individual behavior in society.
