ABSTRACT

Objective: Observing the application of the combination of virtuality and reality in the experimental teaching of the anatomy of motor system. Methods: Two classes were randomly selected from the class of 2017 clinical 5-year students in Fenyang College of Shanxi Medical University, one class was the experimental group, implemented the teaching mode of the combination of body specimen and digital person; the other class was the control group, implemented the traditional experimental teaching mode. The teaching effect was evaluated by questionnaire and specimen test. Results: Compared with the control group, the students specimen examination scores were significantly higher in experimental group (P < 0.05); questionnaire survey showed that the students' teaching satisfaction, learning enthusiasm, creativity and exploration spirits were significantly higher in experimental group. Conclusion: The teaching mode of the combination of body specimen and digital person can improve students' examination scores, mobilize learning enthusiasm, stimulate creativity and exploration spirits.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the locating, parameter measurement and 3D display of nucleus accumbens in human brain in terms of digital anatomy .Methods The raw data of the head specimen of a 45-year-old male adult with 0.5mm as the section spacing was collected by using digital milling machine .Three hundreds images of continual cross sections containing brain were chosen and the segmentation of the caudate nucleus , putamen and nucleus accumbens was accomplished with Photoshop CS .The nucleus accumbens on the images of continual coronal section reconstruction were distinguished according to Harvard Medical School ’ s segment method to calculate the volume of nucleus accumbens and collect the correlative location information .The caudate nucleus , putamen and nucleus accumbens were 3D visualize with the software of Amira 3.1.1.Results The nucleus accumbens , the adjoining structure and the lesion target of nucleus accumbens were all clearly visible .The left nucleus accumbens volume was 972.5mm3 , and the right was 830.6mm3 .The 3D coordinate value was the left ( -11.0, 24.4, 1.3) and the right (9.3, 23.9, 1.7).Conclusion The digital anatomy of nucleus accumbens can distinctly display the nucleus accumbens , form and confirm it ’ s volume, location and adjoining area , which is useful to clinician .

ABSTRACT

Human anatomy is an ancient discipline, hence very difficult to choose a research project for its development. In order to meet the urgent demand in the development of clinical science, we have ventured to blaze a new trail to develop a system of modern clinical anatomical research. Looking back the developmental history of science and technology, it could be found that the development of technology often preceded that of basic researches, thus it was frequently the avant-garde of theoretical breakthroughs. To make any advancement in a conventional scientific discipline, it is imperative to find out faultlessly the link point between it and the new technology. In the present commentary, we shall expatiate innovations in clinical anatomy, and to expound some opinions related to microsurgical anatomy, clinical biomechanics, tomographic imaging anatomy, tissue engineering, minimal traumatic surgical anatomy, digital human and digital anatomy.

ABSTRACT

Objective This article aimed to describe an interactive segmenting method for serial anatomical cross-sectional image of Chinese Digital Human(CDH) using commercially available software,Photoshop CS(Adobe;San Jose,CA,Corel KnockOut 2.0 plug-in) and Matlab 7.0(Math Works;Worcester,MA). Methods First, the interesting region was segmented from the image interactively utilizing the Knochout menu of Adobe Photoshop which had a powerful masking function. And then smooth contour was acquired precisely by morphological operation function and edge detection operator(the Sobel method) in Matlab. Results The segmentation and classification of bone, muscle and main vascular nerve were fulfilled successfully and the smooth contour lines were acquired with precise details and accurate localization. Conclusion This local clustering segmenting method might segment and classify the colored image of Chinese Digital Human quickly and precisely.
