[Method] By learning from professor FAN as well as collating his medical cases that applicating "modified Simiao powder" to the treatment of gouty arthritis, clearing and definiting how teacher FAN thinks etiologies and pathogenesis of gouty arthritis and analyzing the prescription of"Simiao powder"and giving two clinical cases, so that we can learn and discuss. [Result] Teacher FAN believes that gout pathogenesis for the body fluid metabolic abnormalities, and body fluid metabolism and liver and spleen and kidney three organs are closely related. [Method] By collecting medical records, from the pathogenesis, syndrome differentiation, to expound the academic viewpoints and clinical experience of professor He Jialin in treating leucorrhoea disease, summarize its academic characteristics on integrating traditional Chinese and western medicines, internal and external treatments and TCM prescription, and exemplify that. [Results] Professor He Jialin believes that the major pathogenesis is dampness,with intrinsic deficiency in spleen and kidney, explicit accumulation of damp and heat.Combined with western medicine examination methods, professor He Jialin treats the disease by invigorating the spleen for damp elimination, nourishing kidneys to consolidate thoroughfare vessel, heat-clearing and detoxicating, each therapeutic principle combined with external therapy receives a good effect. [Methods] Reorganizing and selecting pediatrics cases of professor Lian Jianwei, naming the cases according to the different ages of the sick children. Meanwhile, explore and analyse the profound meaning about the five cases, on the basis of interrelated thesis on the classical books such as Inner Canon of Huangdi, BaoYingCuoYao(Key to the Therapeutics of Children's Diseases), Xiao'er WeiSheng Zongwei Fanglun(Total Theory and Recipes of Children's Health) etc. [Results]Professor Lian Jianwei is good at treating the pediatrics diseases,he often writes out a prescription combining the in-line with the different ages, the special physiology and pathology of the children.He treats the infant who suffers the roseola of the whole body, judging the pathogenesis by his pulse, guided by the theory thatthe infant qi often has excess,using the method of dispelling mild wind and promoting eruption to cure the infant. [Methods]Discuss the clinical experience of professor He Jialin in the treatment on polycystic ovary syndrome from the pathogenesis, treatment, prescription and one case. [Results] Professor He Jialin believes that the disease is caused by kidney deficiency, mixing with phlegmatic block and blood stasis. It can achieve good effect with Bushen Huoxue Huatan method combined with Tiaozhou therapy. ObjectiveTo study the way of famous TCM doctors to success in modern times. MethodsTotally 96 famous TCM doctors and 30 TCM masters (122 in total, and 4 overlapping) recorded in the book ofThe Way of Distinguished Veteran Doctors of TCM were set as samples in the study. Their learning life was employed as evidence, and the following information was analyzed and concluded:the provinces they come from, their approaches to success, the ages when they became useful, learning time before they became useful, the most influential books, whether they started with classical prescription.ResultsDistinguished veteran doctors of TCM mainly come from Jiangsu Province (21.31%) and Zhejiang Province (11.48%). Learning from other TCM maters (40.98%) and inheriting the family’s TCM knowledge (22.95%) were their main approaches to becoming useful. The learning years before they became useful were 10-15 years (32.81%) and 6-10 years (26.56%). They became useful mainly at the ages of 21-30 (57.58%). 65.98% (64/122) of them treatedTreatise on Febrile Diseases as the most influential book. ConclusionThe study will provide beneficial reference for talent cultivation of TCM colleges and universities.

[Objective] Analyze six differences between TCM and western medicine, which are raised by professor Chen Yi, in order to return the origin of TCM and cal on inheritance. [Methods] This article summarizes insightful views on the inheritance, development and innovation of TCM by professor Chen Yi from fol owing six differences between TCM and western medicine, as theory, thinking, culture, therapy, medication and disease cognition. [Re-sults] TCM, whose theory is based on principle, uses macro-control thinking, roots in Chinese culture, pays attention to syndrome differentiation, chooses one formula for one TCM type, masters herbs by drug properties theory and regards the healthy standard as harmony. While, western medicine, whose theory is based on reality, adopts the micro causal thinking, establishes on western culture, pays attention to disease diagnosing, uses one drug to treat one kind of disease, il ustrates western medicine by molecular formula and copes with causes or lesions of diseases. [Conclusion] Professor Chen Yi analyzes the six differences between TCM and western medicine and emphasizes TCM should be developed and innovated on the basis of inheritance, which is ful of enlightenment in methodology.

This article introduced the treatment experience of professor DING Shu-wen in these aspects: treating the risk factors of coronary heart disease,complicated with arrhythmia,developing to cardiac functional insufficiency,myocardiopathy stage,and still chest pain relentless after coronary artery intervention.In professor Ding's opinion,the treatment should base on combined syndrome and disease differentiation,especially syndrome differentiation.Modern medical results should be absorbed properly,too.The concrete contents are as follows: first,the medicine for coronary heart disease complicated with hyperlipemia can be classified into three types:1 Spleen-invigorating and kidney-nourishing Chinese herb medicine.2 Lipids lowering herbs proved by modern medicine.3 Chinese herbs of clearing heat-toxin aimed at pathogenesis of phlegm-stasis-heat impairing collateral.Second,stage treatment should be applied in coronary heart disease complicated with hypertensive disease.Third,invigorating qi and nourishing yin is the major method in treating coronary heart disease associated arrhythmia.Fourth,patients still with persistent chest pain after coronary artery intervention should be treated according to syndrome differentiation and rational use of medicine.
