ABSTRACT

Based on "Health China" strategy, health humanities education of medical students should be strengthened. The health humanistic education treats all medical students as the object, and infiltrates the humanities into the whole process of health education of medical students in an all-round way, so as to improve health literacy and promote health. Following the strategic deployment of "Health China" and guided by "Health China 2030" Planning Outline, health humanistic education should establish the era orientation of "health first", "people’s health as the center" and "joint construction and sharing", adapt the needs of medical humanistic reform from "disease-centered" to "health-centered", cultivate medical talents with benevolence and skill to meet the needs of a better life, train general practitioners to ensure people’s health in an all-round and all-cycles.

ABSTRACT

The concept of people first has important inspirations for the value rational return of medical humanities education in the new era. It is consistent with the educational value, curriculum attribute, and practical attribute of medical humanistic education, and puts forward new requirements for the value rational return of medical humanities education in terms of educational supply content, practical curriculum setting, educational development form, and educational effect evaluation. Medical colleges and universities should further adhere to the medical humanities education concept centered on people’s health, optimize the practice curriculum of medical humanistic education, innovate the practice platform of medical humanistic education, and construct a value evaluation mechanism of medical humanistic education, so as to promote the value rational return of medical humanities education under the concept of people first.

ABSTRACT

【Objective:】 The co-word analysis method was used to analyze narrative medical literature studied in China in the past 10 years to explore the research status in this field and lay a foundation for further research. 【Methods:】 Using "narrative medicine" as the theme term, with the limited time interval of 2013—2022 to retrieve for relevant literature in CNKI, Wanfang, and VIP databases, and include literature that meets the research standards. Bicomb2 was used to perform keyword statistics and analysis on the downloaded literature. Ucinet6.0 and Netdraw were used to draw co-occurrence analysis graphs to visualize the co-occurrence relationship between high-frequency keywords. 【Results:】 A total of 565 papers were included and 31 high-frequency keywords were extracted. The co-occurrence relationship diagrams showed that the current research hotspots of narrative medicine in China include traditional Chinese medicine, nursing, general practice, evidence-based medicine, medical ethics, hospice care, chronic diseases, cancer and other popular disciplines and diseases. Most of them were about enhancing the empathy and humanistic caring ability of medical personnel and improving doctor-patient communication to improve the doctor-patient relationship, as well as doing well in medical humanities education and cultivating narrative ability through parallel medical records and reflective writing. The research on gerontology, improving the professional identity of medical staff, integrating literature and medicine, and the impact on patients were relatively few. 【Conclusion:】 At present, narrative medicine in China has achieved many achievements in fields such as nursing, traditional Chinese medicine, general practice medicine, chronic diseases, cancer, medical humanities education, and improving doctor-patient relationships. In the future, in-depth exploration can be conducted from the use of narrative medicine in multi-disciplinary and disease fields, trying different training methods, and synchronous cultivation of teachers and students, so as to build a more comprehensive narrative medicine system.

ABSTRACT

Most of the current medical humanities education focuses on the moral aspects without good theoreti-cal basis and specific practices on the medical institution and daily life.The article dates back to the origins of So-cial Science based on the concept caregiving put forward by the medical anthropologist Arthur Kleinman,and states that the ultimate purpose of Social Science is to make response to the social suffering and provide caregiving for it.Caregiving as moral experience is response to social suffering and attracts much importance,because it pro-vides both the theoretical basis and practical means for the current medical humanities education.Its characteristics of caregiving as moral experience to social suffering and caregiving as reciprocity meet the demands of current notion of Big health in China.

Narrative medicine has brought new ideas to medical humanities education, and its con-notation is suitable to Undergraduate Medical Education Standards-Clinical Medicine (Trial). Using Li Ka Shing Medical School of Hong Kong University as an example, this paper introduced the medical humanities education in Li Ka Shing Medical School of Hong Kong University from four aspects of the medical humanities curriculum implementation in detail. Secondly, it expounded the relationship between students and art through two typical cases. Finally, this paper pointed out the enlightenment for medical humanities educa-tion in Medical Schools. For curriculum, the core curriculum of medical humanities must be determined. For teachers, exchanges and cooperation with foreign mature medical humanities education should be carried out active-ly. For teaching methods, the novelty and diversity must be emphasized.

Effective medical practice in the bio-psycho-social medical model calls for the doctor's narrative and communicative skills.The gradual application of narratives in medical practice and research facilitates the combination of narrative methods with medical science.The narrative medicine movement greatly promotes the narrative turn in the research of doctor-patient communication and provides a new perspective in medical humanities education.In the process of doctor-patient communication,the appropriate use of doctors' high narrative competence contributes to effective doctorpatient communication and helps to build a harmonious doctor-patient relationship.In medical education,the teaching strategy of combining classroom teaching with clinical probation teaching should be adopted to cultivate and enhance medical students' medical narrative competence.

ABSTRACT

ObjectiveTo explore an effective educational method of medical humanity to improve the medical humanistic quality for nursing students and to lay a basis for the culture of medical personnel with high-quality.MethodsTwo classes of nursing students in grade 2010 were selected randomly and divided into the control group ( CG,n=65 ) and the experimental group ( EG,n=62 ).Personnel training project of our school was applied in the control group including the teaching of compulsory basis medical humanity courses:medical psychology,interpersonal communication,medical ethics and laws from the first semester to the third semester after entering the school.The pervasive teaching method was used in the EG.The basic content of humanistic quality,education was integrated systematically into the teaching of every course,class and extra-curricular activity in a planned way.The check on the topic of etiquette,verbal expression and communication and psychological quality ( the full mark of each topic was 10 points ) was conducted in the third semester in the two groups.The average points of the three topics were graded as the students' final mark of this course.T-test analysis on students' mark of each subject was used.Results The result of t-test showed that the marks of etiquette and psychological quality in EG were obviously higher than those in CG ( P<0.05 ),however,no statistic difference in speech communication and expression was observed.ConclusionThe pervasive teaching method is beneficial to students concerning the accepting,understanding,digesting and absorbing of medical humanity knowledge can it can effectively enhance the humanistic quality of medical students.

Some prominent problems existed.
