ABSTRACT

Objective To prepare 15 batches of Chuanxiong Rhizoma standard decoctions and evaluate its quality. Methods According to preparation conditions of the TCM standard decoction, 15 batches of Chuanxiong Rhizoma standard decoction were prepared; The content of ferulic acid chlorogenic acid and caffeic acid in Chuanxiong Rhizoma standard decoction were determined by using HPLC; The fingerprint of Chuanxiong Rhizoma standard decoction was established by using UV-visible spectrophotometry and infrared spectroscopy; And diverse batches of Chuanxiong Rhizoma standard decoction fingerprint were comparative analyzed by using the correlation coefficient method and double-index analysis method. Results The results of 15 batches of samples revealed that the transfer rate of ferulic acid ranged from 0.485 7% to 0.749 5 %, the transfer rate of chlorogenic acid ranged from 0.316 0% to 0.565 6%, the transfer rate of caffeic acid ranged from 0.017 7% to 0.050 4%, and extract rate was at the range of 18.82%-27.60%. Compared with the UV and IR standard fingerprint, the similarity of Chuanxiong Rhizoma standard decoction fingerprint was more than 0.990 and 0.911 respectively. The results of double-index analysis showed that the common peak rate of each lot of Chuanxiong Rhizoma standard decoction was more than 51.72%. Conclusion This quality evaluation method can be used for the systematic evaluation of Chuanxiong Rhizoma standard decoction. It also provides a theoretical reference preparation for the formulation of quality standard of for the formulation of quality standard for Chuanxiong Rhizoma preparations such as Chuanxiong Rhizoma dispensing granules.

ABSTRACT

AIM: To set up a new method to analyze IR fingerprint spectra, which was in line with the cha racteristic of traditional Chinese medicine. METHODS: In this paper. two new indexes, common peak ratio and variant peak ratio, were applied and its values were calculated by means of the sequential analysis, in which each sample's IR fingerprint spectra was set up and the common peak ratio sequences were arranged in order of size in comparison with other samples. RESULTS: The method could distinguish the water extract of Radix Glycyrrhizae of different varieties and different areas. CONCLUSION: The dual index sequential analysis enables us to distinct two or more herb's IR fingerprint.

ABSTRACT

AIM: To identify the Chinese medicinal granule by measuring IR fingerprints. METHODS: 13 kinds of granules were extracted with butanone respectively and then the obtained extracts were measured with the FT IR spectrometer. RESULTS: By IR fingerprint of 13 kinds of granules drugs, different batches of the same crude drug had a stable and repeatable fingerprint. CONCLUSION: By using IR fingerprint, Chinese medicinal granule can be identified and provides a rapid method for drug identification and quality control.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To identify Tongren Wujibaifeng Pills and Xiaoshuanzaizao Pills respectively by analysis of IR fingerprint. Methods: Both drugs were extracted with hexane, ether and butanone and then the extracts obtained were measured with FT IR spectrometer. Results: By analizing IR fingerprint of 25 batches Tongren Wujibaifeng Pills and 31 batches Xiaoshuanzaizao Pills, we found that different batches of the same drug have stable and repeatable fingerprint. Conclusion: By using IR fingerprint, either Tongren Wujibaifeng Pills and Xiaoshuanzaizao Pills can be identified. It provides a rapid method for drug identification and quality control.

ABSTRACT

AIM: To study the FT-IR fingerprinting characteristic of Huangjinju Powder Injection(HJJ)(Flos Trollii chinensis,Flos chrysanthemi indici,Flos Lonicerae Japonicae) and its effective constituents.METHODS: We adopt FT-IR and the second order derivative FT-IR,analysis by the related ratio, and then describe its mass characteristic by its crude drugs and the effective constituents. RESULTS: HJJ has fifteen peaks that are in turn,3735,2931,1664,1614,1450,1408,1360,1291,1191,1067,915,768,687,597 and 417 cm~(-1).Its special peak in the second order derivative is 1416 cm~(-1).The characteristics of the constituents of its crude drug that Flos Trollii Chinensis has 2926 and 1609 cm~(-1),Flos Chrysanthemi Indici has 1660 and 1609 cm~(-1) and Flos Lonicerae Japonicae has 767.The effective constituents that Baicalin owns 1664,1614,1450,1408,1067,915,768,687,597 and 417 cm~(-1),Orientin owns 2931,1614,1291 and 1191 cm~(-1),Vitexin owns 1614,1360,1067 and 597,Linarin owns 1450,1067 and 597 cm~(-1),Chlorogenic acid owns 1614,1291 and 1191 cm~(-1),Caffeic acid owns 1450 and 1360,and Hyperin owns 1360 and 1291. CONCLUSION: The effective constituents of FT-IR can be used in evaluating the mass of Huangjinju Powder Injection and reflect the key characteristic of its essence. It owns the obvious characteristics and specificity.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To identify the Chinese medicinal granule (CMG) by measuring IR fingerprints. Methods : 12 species drugs were extracted with butanone respectively and then the obtained extracts were measured by the FT-IR spectrometer. Results : By IR fingerprint of 12 kinds of CMG, we found that different batches of the same CMG had a stable and repeatable fingerprint. Conclusion : By using IR fingerprint, CMG can be identified. It provides a rapid monitoring for drug identification and quality control.
