ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of modified Zuogui Pill combined with hormone in the treatment of premature ovarian failure ( POF) . Methods Randomized controlled trials were carried out by searching Chinese and English databases from the establishing to June, 2018. The meth-odological quality was assessed in the included randomized controlled trials. The treatment of premature o-varian failure by modified Zuogui Pill combined with hormone was systematically evaluated by RevMan 5. 3 software. Results 11 randomized controlled trials involving 1004 patients were included. Meta-analysis results showed that total effective rate (OR=4. 44, 95% CI: 3. 10 -6. 36, P<0. 00001), Tranditional Chinese Medcine ( TCM ) syndromes ( including dizziness, tinnitus, hot flash night sweats, five upset fe-ver, waist and knees), serum follicle stimulating hormone ( FSH) level [ standardised mean difference (SMD) =0. 54, 95% CI:0. 13-0. 95, P=0. 01], luteinizing hormone (LH) level (SMD=0. 90, 95%CI:0. 45-1. 36, P<0. 0001), estradiol (E2)level (SMD=1. 26, 95% CI:0. 12-2. 40, P=0. 03), endometrial thickness [weighted mean difference (WMD) =2. 03, 95% CI:0. 07-3. 99, P=0. 04] im-provement and the incidence of adverse reactions (OR=0. 34, 95% CI:0. 12-0. 95, P=0. 04) in modi-fied Zuogui Pill combined with hormone therapy were superior to those of pure hormone therapy. Conclu-sions The modified Zuogui Pill combined with hormone therapy shows better therapeutic effect and safety than hormone therapy on premature ovarian failure.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the association between the ZNF804A gene genetic variation poly-morphism rs1344706 and brain structure and function in patients with schizophrenia. Methods Literature search was conducted in Pubmed and other databases, the processes were performed in strict accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines, then the Comprehensive Meta-Analysis software was used for meta-analysis. Results Schizophrenia patients with rs1344706 risk al-lele had lager gray matter in the amount of brain regions including frontal lobe (z=3.445,P=0.001),tempo-ral lobe (z=2.140,P=0.032) and other brain regions; healthy controls with the risk allele had smaller gray matter and regional activity in the frontal lobe ( gray matter: z=-2.008, P=0.045, regional activity: z=-4.036,P<0.01) and other regions. Sensitivity analysis was stable, but publication bias existed in a few ana-lyses of indexes. Conclusion The risk allele in ZNF804A gene rs1344706 has positive effects on the brain structure in patients with schizophrenia, but negative effects on the brain structure and function in the healthy individuals.

ABSTRACT

Objective To systematically assess the clinical effect and safety of Poractant Alfa Injection and ambroxol hydro-chloride in treating neonatal respiratory distress syndrome (NRDS) .Methods The home and abroad randomized controlled trials ( RCTs ) on the comparison of clinical effect and safety of Poractant Alfa Injection and ambroxol hydrochloride in treating NRDS were retrieved by computer .The literature quality was evaluated by the modified JADAD scale .Rev Man5 .3 .1 software was used for conducting the meta analysis .Results Twenty-four RCT were included .The meta analysis results showed that compared with ambroxol hydrochloride ,Poractant Alfa Injection for treating NRDS could more significantly increase the PH value (MD= -0 .02 , 95% CI:-0 .03- -0 .01 ,P<0 .01) ,increased the PaO2 value(MD= -2 .92 ,95% CI:-4 .59 - -1 .26 ,P<0 .01) ,decreased the PaCO2 value (MD=0 .95 ,95% CI:0 .12-1 .77 ,P=0 .02) ,reduced the FiO2 value(MD=0 .03 ,95% CI:0 .01-0 .05 ,P<0 .01) ,en-hanced the Pa O2/FiO2 ratio (MD= -7 .62 ,95% CI:-10 .87 - -4 .37 ,P<0 .01) ,reduced the short term complications (RR=1 .67 ,95% CI:1 .31-2 .12 ,P<0 .01) and long-term complications (RR=2 .85 ,95% CI:1 .14-7 .07 ,P=0 .02) ,shortened the hos-pitalization days (RR=3 .03 ,95% CI:0 .94 -5 .11 ,P<0 .01) as well as decreased the mortality rate (RR=1 .96 ,95% CI:1 .15-3 .34 ,P=0 .01) .However ,there were no statistical differences in the durations of continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) me-chanical ventilation ,oxygen inhalation time ,time of clinical symptom outcome ,incidence rate of NRDS and total effective rate of treatment between the two groups .Conclusion Currently published evidences show that Poractant Alfa Injection is superior to am-broxol hydrochloride in treating NRDS ,however ,due to limited number of included RCD and medium quality ,the conclusion needs large scale and multicenter RCT verification .

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the relation between MCP-1-2518G/A gene polymorphism and the onset risk of diabetic nephropathy(DN) by the data of collected and publishedcase control studies and using the meta analysis method .Methods All lit-eratures on moncyte chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1)-2518G/A gene polymorphism and the onset risk of DN included in the da-tabases of PubMed ,Web of Science ,EMbase ,Cochrane Library ,CNKI ,Wanfang and VIP until October 2016 were systametically re-trieved .Then the related data were extracted .The Stata11 .0 statistical software was used to calculate the odds ratio (OR) of syn-thetic data and 95% confidence interval (CI) ,meanwhile the heterogeneity and publication bias of the studies were evaluated .Re-sults A total of 9 studies were included involving 2767 independent samples ,the number of cases was 1096 ,the control number was 1671 .For the general population ,the relationship between MCP-1 gene-2518G/A polymorphism and the onset risk of DN was not found in 4 gene models (dominant model:OR=1 .01 ,95% CI:0 .67-1 .54 ;recessive model :OR=0 .93 ,95% CI:0 .60-1 .44 ;homo-zygous model:OR=0 .93 ,95% CI:0 .70 -1 .23 ;heterozygous model :OR=0 .89 ,95% CI:0 .61-1 .31) .The subgroup analysis re-sults showed that in India population ,MCP-1-2518G/A gene polymorphism might significantly increase the onset risk of DN (domi-nant model:OR=1 .56 ,95% CI:1 .19 -2 .06) ,but in Chinese ,Turks or South Koreans ,the MCP-1-2518G/A gene polymorphism had no relation with the onset risk of DN .Conclusion In the general population ,MCP-1-2518G/A gene polymorphism has no rela-tion with the onset risk of DN .But the MCP-1 gene-2518G/A polymorphism can increase the onset risk of DN in India population , while does not increase the onset risk of DN in Chinese population ,Korean population and Turkey population .

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the associations between polymorphisms of Vitamin D receptor gene and type 1 diabetes susceptibility. Methods Literatures were retrieved from PubMed ,Web of Science and WanFang databases ,etc.Pooled odds ratios(ORs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated using a random effect model. Results A total of 28 literatures were included. The result of analysis showed that BsmI and ApaI polymorphism were the susceptibility gene for T 1DM in Asian populations [B vs b;OR(95% CI)=1.53(1.06~2.20) ,P=0.024 ;AA vs aa:OR(95% CI)=1.60(1.06~2.40) ,P= 0.023]. Conclusion The BsmI and ApaI polymorphism may be susceptibility gene in Asians populations with T1DM.
