ABSTRACT

Objective To establish a sound and reasonable talent assessment mechanism in the introduction of scientific research talents through the reform of human resources management. Methods Based on the iceberg theory, understand better of the candidates to optimize the matching between personnel and positions. Results We proposed a multi-dimensional assessment system that combines the introduction of talents with tiered assessment of standardized talent rankings, concrete assessment will take into account of the performance and designed tasks.Established talent evaluation criteria are including moral virtues, knowledge, capacity, achievement and contributions to further improve medical ethics, clinical practice, scientific research and education training, public health services,as well as moral characteristics. Conclusions Through innovative administration, the multi-dimensional assessment system could be implemented in the introduction of scientific research talents, according to which different levels of talent will be better matched to avoid "one size fits all" or other problems. The system could also inspire the introduced talents to play a leading role in discipline development,to fulfill the strategy of strengthening hospital with talents,as well as better service for medical health.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the research model of scientific and technological innovation situation from the angle of information research-assisted scientific decision-making in order to transform information service to knowledge service in research library. Methods The research model of scientific and technological innovation situation was proposed on the basis of multi-source data, multi-dimension evidence and multi-methods after the connotation of scientific and technological innovation situation was elaborated, innovative activity research and development were monitored, and the innovative body competition was assessed. Results The following experiences were summarized according to the service provided based on the model: comprehensive research on biosecurity innovation situation based on multi-source data and multi-dimension evidence, importance attached to the combined scientometric a-nalysis and thinking tank report analysis when the research of precision medicine was placed in a priority position, attention paid to the mining of situation in network analysis, stress laid on the prospective and different development strategies in competition situation research of stem cells. Conclusion The research model of scientific and technological innovation situation is a new model of scientific and technological innovation and can adapt to the changing information environment and the transformation of scientific and technological information needs to scientific and techno-logical information innovation needs. Comprehensive re-search ability and language expression ability should be improved, and cooperation model and regular communica-tion systems should be established in order to improve the value of consultation research in decision- making.

ABSTRACT

Objective To accelerate retrieve of mammogram database by using improved M-tree index. Methods M-tree index was analyzed in the reliability and effectiveness for indexing mammogram database. An algorithm called "Slim-down" was employed in design to minimize possible overlaps. Results The improved M-tree index enhanced the efficiency of retrieving mammogram database 25 times than traditional way. Conclusion The efficiency of retrieving mammogram database by using improved M-tree was accelerated remarkably.

ABSTRACT

PURPOSE: The aim of this study was to evaluate the multidimensional constructs of the EORTC Quality of Life Questionnaire (QLQ-C30) in patients with cancer, employing not only the commonly used multitrait scaling analysis and interscale correlations, but also the factorial and multidimensional scaling (MDS) analyses. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A total of 334 Korean cancer patients participated in this cross-sectional study. All patients completed the QLQ-C30. RESULTS: With the multitrait scaling analysis, the cognitive functioning scale did not meet item convergent and divergent validities. With the interscale correlations, the physical and role functioning scales were found to be highly correlated; this was also evident in the factorial analysis. The MDS showed that each item within the social, emotional, global health status/quality of life, and nausea/ vomiting scales were clustered close together, but far from those of the other scales. CONCLUSION: The authors conclude that the four way evaluation of the QLQ-C30 produced results that supported the original hypothesized constructs. However, the physical and role functioning scales were not distinctive, and that of the cognitive functioning was somewhat problematic in the Korean population with cancer.
