ABSTRACT

This research has as object of study the process of equivalence of undergraduate nursing curricula in case of transfer, in a phenomenological perspective, assuming that there is no instrument in the country for equivalence of curricula between different universities, despite the existence of national curricular guidelines. Its general objective is to understand the perception of nursing graduates about the process of curricular equivalence AND as specific objectives: To analyze, in the light of Merleau-Pontyana, the perception of undergraduate students about the transfer process between universities in RJ; To present the curricular structures of undergraduate nursing in each research setting institution; Describe how the curricular structures are equivalent in each institution; Propose from the perception of the graduates an improvement in the equivalence process between universities based on the DCN according to the LDB. The methodological framework is the phenomenology of Maurice Merleau-Ponty. The Scenario consists of two private Universities that were accredited with the Nursing Undergraduate Course and a Federal University in Rio de Janeiro that will provide the research and the Participants, the graduates of the studied universities that experienced the assisted transfer process, instrumentalized by the phenomenological interview. As a result, six thematic categories emerged: Understanding the perception of graduates about the process of curricular equivalence, The perception of graduates about the transfer process between universities in Rio de Janeiro, Building proposals to improve the equivalence process from the perception of graduates; The curricular structures of undergraduate nursing in the researched educational institutions; The process of equivalence of curricular structures in each institution; Analysis of higher education institutions (HEIs) in the state of Rio de Janeiro that offer undergraduate nursing courses.. It was understood that the equivalences between higher education institutions have an impact on students' physical and mental health, that the transfer process was a time of difficulty and maturity gain. From the phenomenological interviews, the philosophical knowledge for nursing education was glimpsed.
