ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT From 1980s to 1990s, the Brazilian Physical Education (BPE) was strongly influenced by the discussion concerning its identity as an academic discipline; the final period of the Brazilian military dictatorship; the regulation of the BPE as a profession. Hence, this study analyzed the influence of that epistemological and political setting on the curricula of three BPE undergraduate courses. The Political Pedagogic Project and the Curriculum Matrix of the three undergraduate courses, from public universities, were analyzed using two qualitative research techniques: body of knowledge analysis, and content analysis. The results showed that the curricula analyzed did not cover a definition of professional intervention procedures based on ethical conduct specific to the area. Furthermore, the knowledge basis of the curricula is mainly constituted by discipline knowledge, which contributes to distancing the student's training from their field of professional practice . These findings may be associated with the insufficient epistemological discussion early initiated by Henry's works and unclear definition if the BPE is an academic or professional area. This investigation suggests that political disputes related to professionalization of BPE overlapped the academic discussions, which might have contributed to the problems identified on the preparation through bachelor courses of physical education professionals.


RESUMO De 1980 a 1990, a Educação Física Brasileira (EFB) foi fortemente influenciada pela discussão sobre sua identidade como disciplina acadêmica; pelo período final da ditadura militar; e pela regulamentação da EFB como profissão. Assim, este estudo analisou a influência dessa configuração epistemológica e política sobre o currículo de três cursos de graduação em Educação Física (EF) no Brasil. O Projeto Político Pedagógico e a Matriz Curricular dos três cursos, de universidades públicas, foram analisados utilizando duas técnicas de pesquisa qualitativa: análise do corpo de conhecimento e análise de conteúdo. Os resultados mostraram que todos os currículos analisados não apresentaram uma definição clara dos procedimentos de intervenção profissional baseados em condutas éticas específicas da área. Além disso, a base de conhecimento dos currículos é principalmente constituída pelo conhecimento acadêmico, contribuindo para o distanciamento da formação do graduando com o campo de atuação profissional. Essas descobertas podem estar associadas à insuficiente discussão epistemológica que foi iniciada pelos trabalhos de Henry e a não definição se a EFB é uma área acadêmica ou profissional. Esta investigação sugere que as disputas políticas relacionadas à profissionalização da EFB se sobrepuseram às discussões acadêmicas, o que pode ter contribuído para os problemas identificados na formação do tipo bacharelado dos profissionais de EF.

ABSTRACT

Este artigo objetiva discutir entendimentos de saúde, promoção de saúde e de lazer de acadê-micos de Educação Física atuantes num projeto de extensão universitária. De abordagem qua-litativa, este estudo de caso contou com pesquisa bibliográfica e questionário, que foi respon-dido por 24 voluntários. Como resultados, saúde e promoção da saúde foram relacionadas com bem-estar, qualidade de vida, melhoria e manutenção da saúde. Compreensões de lazer foram associadas a prazer, tempo livre e desprendimento de obrigações. Alguns desafios pen-dentes para a área de Educação Física dizem respeito à relevância de aprofundar conhecimen-tos e práticas que articulem, cada vez mais, as temáticas pesquisadas.


This article aims to discuss understandings of health, health promotion and leisure of Physical Education academics active in university extension project. This case study included literature review and questionnaire survey which 24 volunteers. As a result, health and health promo-tion were related to well-being, quality of life, improvement and maintenance of health. Un-derstandings of leisure were associated with pleasure, free time and detachment of bonds. Some challenges for the field of Physical Education concerning the relevance of deepening knowledge and practices that articulate, increasingly, the surveyed subjects.


Este artículo objetiva discutir la comprensión de la salud, promoción de la salud y de ocio de académicos de educación física que trabajan en proyectos de extensión universitaria. La in-vestigación es un estudio de caso que incluye revisión bibliográfica y aplicación de cuestiona-rios respondidos por 24 voluntarios. La salud y la promoción de la salud fueron relacionadas con bienestar, calidad de vida y mantenimiento de la salud. Entendimientos de ocio fueron asociados con placer, tiempo libre y ausencia de obligaciones. Algunos de los retos para la Educación Física son profundizar conocimientos y prácticas que articulen las temáticas estu-diadas.

ABSTRACT

Abstract Communication about adoption is a family interaction process which is more than the simple exchange of information. Adoption communication can be characterized in terms of the level of openness of family conversations regarding the child's past and the degree of the family's adoption social disclosure. The objective of this study is to explore the process of adoption communication openness in Portuguese adoptive families by identifying the impact of variables related to the adoption process, the adoptive parenting and the adoptee. One hundred twenty five parents of children aged 3 to 15, who were adopted on average 4 years ago, participated in this study. Data was collected during home visits using the Parents Adoption Process Interview. A cluster analysis identified three different groups of families according to the level of adoption communication openness within the family and outside. The findings also showed that the process of the adoption communication openness started when parents decided to adopt, developed in parent-child interaction and was susceptible to change under professional intervention. The relevance of training given to prospective adopters and of professional practice based on scientific evidence is highlighted.(AU)

ABSTRACT

Resumen: El artículo presenta algunas de las reflexiones realizadas en la tesis doctoral acerca de la incidencia de la racionalidad formal‑ -abstracta y el irracionalismo en el Trabajo Social argentino. Para ello, se analiza como la Teoría General de los Sistemas se constituye en una nueva expresión de una razón abstractiva y manipulatoria y como a partir de ella, se produce un corpus teórico y reflexivo dentro del Trabajo Social. Así, se estudian las principales consideraciones que dichos autores efectúan en torno a la intervención profesional y como éstas conducen a un nuevo Trabajo Social de carácter conservador.


Abstract: This paper displays some of the reflections carried out on the PhD thesis concerning the incidence of both the formal-abstract rationality and irrationalism within the Argentine Social Work. For this purpose, it is discussed how the Systems General Theory becomes a new expression of an abstractive and manipulating reason as well as how, therein, a reflexive and theoretical corpus takes place within Social Work. Thus, the discussion focuses on the major considerations made by such authors as regards the professional intervention leading to a new conservative-type Social Work.

ABSTRACT

El trabajo que aquí se presente tiene por finalidad el análisis y crítica de una de las tendencias contemporáneas en el Trabajo Social argentino: el campo posmoderno. Para ello, resulta fundamental el estudio y análisis de las principales determinaciones que presenta el campo posmoderno en las ciencias sociales, en particular, sus consideraciones en torno a la modernidad, la transición a un nuevo estadio de la sociabilidad, de carácter posmoderno, y la función que ejerció y ejerce la ciencia en la actualidad. Esto, permite identificar las mediaciones existentes entre éstas proposiciones teóricas y la configuración de un campo posmoderno en el Trabajo Social y como se generan un conjunto de proposiciones teóricas, políticas y éticas en torno a la intervención profesional.


This work aims to analyze and criticize one of the contemporary trends within the Argentine Social Work: the postmodern field. For such purpose, it is essential to study and analyze the major decisions offered by the postmodern field as regards social sciences, particularly its considerations concerning modernity, the transition to a new postmodern state of sociability, and the function exercised by science in the past and today. This enables to identify the existing mediations between these theoretical proposals and the configuration of a postmodern field within the Social Work as well as how a number of theoretical, political and ethical proposals emerge around the professional intervention.

ABSTRACT

A formação do profissional e os conhecimentos que ele adquire em sua história de vida, fazem parte da caracterização da intervenção do profissional de Educação Física. Nesta perspectiva, o objetivo deste estudo foi o de averiguar as características do conhecimento empregado pelo profissional de Educação Física em sua intervenção profissional. Utilizamos a abordagem qualitativa empreendendo um estudo de tipo etnográfico. Após a realização da análise dos dados conseguimos mapear os elementos que constituem o trabalho para a profissional. Concluímos que entender o que faz parte do tema trabalho está relacionado com as representações culturais que a Educação Física tem para os profissionais e para a sociedade


The professional education and the knowledge he/she acquires in his/her life history are part of the characterization of the Physical Education professional's intervention. Based on this, the purpose of this study was to discover the characteristics of the knowledge used by the Physical Education professional in his/her professional intervention. The qualitative approach was used, carrying out an ethnographic-like study. After the data analysis, it was possible to recognize the elements that constitute work for the professional. It is concluded that the cultural representations that the Physical Education has toward the professionals as well as the society, are related to the understanding of what is part of the theme dealt with


La educación profesional y el conocimiento que él/ella adquiere en su historia de vida son parte de la caracterización de la intervención del profesional de Educación Físico. Basado en esto, el propósito de este estudio era descubrir las características del conocimiento usadas por el profesional de Educación Físico en el su la intervención profesional. El acercamiento cualitativo fue usado, mientras llevando a cabo un el estudio tipo etnográfico. Después del análisis de los datos, era posible reconocer los elementos que constituyen el trabajo para el profesional. Se concluye que las representaciones culturales que la Educación Física tiene hacia las profesionales así como la sociedad, se relaciona a la comprensión de qué la parte del tema se reparte con
