ABSTRACT
Objective: To study the chemical constituents of Isodon eriocalyx. Methods The chemical constituents were isolated and purified by chromatography with silica gel, Sephadex LH-20 and semi-preparative HPLC, and their structures were identified by analysis of spectroscopic data and physicochemical properties as well as relevant references. Results :A total of 20 constituents were isolated from I. eriocalyx, plant material extracted with ethyl aceta, and they were elucidated as maoecrystal D (1), isothymusin (2), coetsoidin A (3), maoecrystal A (4), 5,4’-dihydroxy-6,7-dimethoxy flavone (5), vitexin (6), α-amyrin (7), β-daucosterol (8), odinicin (9), cirsimaritin (10), maoecrystal N (11), epi-macoecrystal P (12), pimaric acid (13), laxiflorin R (14), enmelol (15), maoecrystal B (16), pectolarigenin (17), neolaxiflorin V (18), eriocalyxin A (19), and neorabdosin (20). Conclusion: Compounds 2, 5-7, 13-15, 17, 18 are isolated from this plant for the first time, and compounds 5 and 6 are isolated from the plants of Isodon for the first time.

ABSTRACT
Rabdosia (Bl.) Hassk is a medicinal plant rich in enantiomers such as 15α-acetoxyl-6, 11α-epoxy-6α-hydroxy-20-oxo-6, 7-seco-ent-kaur-16-en-1, 7-olide and 15α-dihydroxy-6β-methoxy-6, 7-seco-6, 20-epoxy-1, 7-olide-ent-kaur-16-ene. It has high medicinal value and huge market potential, but the yield from wild Rabdosia (Bl.) Hassk species cannot meet the needs of marketization. Carrying out pollution-free cultivation of Rabdosia rubescens (Hemsl.) Hara and Rabdosia serra (Maxim.) Hara has become the most direct and effective measure to solve this problem in order to ensure the sustainable use of the resources of Rabdosia. This paper summarized a set of non- pollution cultivation system of R. rubescens and R. serra to achieve the"safe, effective, stable and controllable"target.
ABSTRACT
Objective: To study the diterpenes in the roots of Rabdosia japonica var. glaucocalyx. Methods: The constituents of R. japonica var. glaucocalyx were separated and purified with chromatographic methods, and their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods. Results: Two compounds were isolated from the roots of R. japonica var. glaucocalyx, and they were identified as glaucocalyxoside (1) and inflexuside A (2). Conclusion: Compound 1 is a new abietane diterpene glycoside named glaucocalyxoside, and compound 2 is isolated from R. japonica var. glaucocalyx for the first time.
ABSTRACT
Object To study the micro morphological characteristics of the leaf and stem epidermis of three species in Rabdosia (Bl ) Hassk Methods The leaf and stem epidermis of Rabdosia amethystoides (Benth ) Hara, R macrocalyx (Dann) Hara and R nervosa (Hemsl ) C Y Wu et H W Li were observed by scanning electron microscope (SEM) Results Some characteristics are same among three species, such as elliptical stoma and glandular scale which has four cells, but some characteristics are di fferent, such as the shape of epidermal cell, the distribution of nonglandular hair, the shape of stoma Conclusion The leaf and stem epidermal characteristics are obviously different among the three species, it provides the new reference to discriminate the plants of Rabdosia (Bl ) Hassk
