Extending traditional reading popularization model, training reading habit and skill, building classic reading scene, integrating era elements into"classic", using new technology and new media were suggested in this paper for innovating the reading popularization model of classic works on traditional Chinese medicine based on the analysis of why it is difficult to popularize the reading popularization of classic works on traditional Chinese medi-cine.

The important role of library in reading popularization was elaborated, with the main ways for reading popularization and the principal information literary education methods for reading popularization librarians listed, including learning of professional knowledge and skills, training of career virtue, and reading brand popularization.The training of reading popularization librarians and selection of characteristic brand plans can provide the theoretical basis for library to carry out this innovative service.

The analysis of studies on bibliotherapy showed that the cognition of bibliotherapy was poor in medical staff and patients, the number of studies on the theory of bibliotherapy was greater than that on the application of bibliotherapy in clinical practice, the service methods and platforms were insufficient, the education levels of patients were various, the majority of librarians involved in bibliotherapy were poor in medical knowledge .The methods for implementing a new bibliotherapy model were therefore put forward based on the common participation of librarians, ward assistants , psychological physicians and patients , and the effects of bibliotherapy for readers were assessed using the self-designed reading efficiency scale, SAS, SDS, and t test, respectively, according to the psychological prin-ciples of bibliotherapy .
