ABSTRACT

AIM:To investigate the effect of TSM tablet on rat' s atherosclerotic model' s endothelial cell and explore the mechanism of it.METHODS:Fifty Wistar rats were randomly assigned into five groups:control group, model group,Simvastatin group,TSM high group,TSM low group. All groups were fed with high fat diet and vitamin D_3 except for control group to set up atherosclerosis model. After 12 weeks we detected circle endothelial cell, angiotensin Ⅱ and electron microscopy morphology of arteries.RESULTS:Level of circulating enthelia cell(CEC)and Ang Ⅱ in model rats were significantly higher.TSM can reduce level of the CEC and Ang Ⅱ.Model group rat' s artery endothelial cells were severely damaged under electron microscopy;rat's artery endothelial cells in TSM group were basically intact and its internal elastic membrane was unbroken on it thickness was even, without significant lesion.CONCLUSION:TSM by reducing the number of CEC,the level of Ang Ⅱ used for experimental atherosclerotic endothelial cell in rats has the protective effect.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To investigate the relationship between circulating endothelial cell(CEC)(numbers),blood lipid levels and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome(MODS) and their clinical(significance). Methods: CECs were separated by isopyknic centrifugation method and blood lipid was(determined) in(35 MODS) patients and 20 healthy controls.CEC numbers and blood lipid were compared in both groups.(Acute) physiology and chronic health evaluation Ⅱ(APACHE Ⅱ) score was recorded to evaluate the severity of the MODS patients. The relationships were analyzed between APACHEⅡ score and CEC numbers,(between) APACHEⅡ and blood lipid levels and between CEC numbers and blood lipid levels. Results: CEC numbers in MODS patients were significantly higher than those in healthy controls(P

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the changes of the number of circulating endothelial cells (CEC) and blood lipid level in critically ill patients and their clinical significance. Methods The CECs were separated by using isopyknic centrifugation method and blood lipid level was determined in 35 critically ill patients and 20 healthy controls. CEC number and blood lipid level were compared between the two groups. And the correlation of CEC number and blood lipid level was analyzed. Clinical data from the critically ill patients was evaluated with acute physiology and chronic health evaluation Ⅱ; the correlation analysis of APACHEⅡscore, CEC number and blood lipid level was made. Results CEC number in the critically ill patients was significantly higher than that in healthy controls(P

ABSTRACT

Maintenance of healthy endothelium is essential to vascular homeostasis, and preservation of endothelial cell function is critical for transplant allograft function. Damage of microvascular endothelial cells is now regarded as a characteristic feature of acute vascular rejection and chronic allograft nephropathy, which is an important predictor of graft loss and is often associated with transplant vasculopathy. In this review, we will discuss the role of microvascular endothelium, in renal allograft dysfunction, particularly as it relates to markers of endothelial dysfunction and endothelial repair mechanisms. We also discuss the potential for therapies targeting endothelial dysfunction and transplant graft vasculopathy.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study vascular endothelial cell injury/activation associated with CPB in order to understand the pathophysiology of the complications of patients undergoing cardiovascular operationsMethods Twenty-six patients scheduled for cardiac operations with CPB, were divided into two grourps, group Ⅰ: 14 patients with acyanotic congenital heart diseases undergoing corrective surgical procedures; group Ⅱ: 12 patients undergoing selective cardiac operation for valvular replacement Blood samples were withdrawn from central vein before skin incision, before CPB, 30 min following CPB, at end of CPB, at end of operation, on the first postoperative day and the third postoperative day to measure the levels of circulating endothelial cells(CEC), thrombomodulin(TM) and von Willebrand Factor(vWF).Results The levels of CEC,TM and vWF significantly elevated during CPB and on the first postoperative day in the two groups,as compared with those before operation (P
