ABSTRACT

Education is an intentionally trained activity focusing at nurturing the harmonious progress of an individual as productive, promising and reasonable individual in the society . A person needs set of skills to deal productively with life situations. Such skills are called life skills which help the person to deal effectively with any condition to get the desired outcomes. The present investigation was designed as a descriptive study and normative survey was the method adopted for the study. Stratified sampling technique has been used to select samples of 60 secondary school students. Problem solving inventory, decision making inventory and inter personal relationship questionnaire were the tools used. The data were analyzed through destructive measures of statistics mainly Mean and Standard Deviation and product moment correlation. From the findings, it can be concluded that there is no significant correlation between problem solving skill and interpersonal relationship, decision making and interpersonal relationship of secondary school students.

ABSTRACT

INTRODUCCIÓN. La calidad de la interacción humana entre el profesional de la salud y la persona atendida es fundamental en la oncología tanto a nivel ético como práctico. El presente artículo de naturaleza teórica tiene como OBJETIVO: Reflexionar sobre la conceptualización de cómo debe ser la relación interpersonal entre el profesional de enfermería y la persona con un proceso oncológico, es decir, conocer a partir de determinados conceptos su relevancia en el trato humano para una mejor praxis del cuidado de enfermería. METODOLOGÍA: Reflexión teórica basada en conceptos de intersubjetividad y cuidado de enfermería a través de la revisión de literatura. Se enfocará fundamentalmente en el pensamiento de Hildegard E. Peplau dada la relevancia de la visión interactiva - integrativa de su teoría de las relaciones interpersonales como un proceso interpersonal significativo, terapéutico. Asimismo, del Filósofo Martin Heidegger. RESULTADOS: Abordar el cuidado de enfermería bajo la perspectiva de la comprensión del "Ser" con su entorno y no solo el "estar ahí" significa para la persona la importancia del cuidado adecuado en pro de la recuperación, prestando atención empática de las emociones y sentimientos para comprender el sufrimiento del otro y de esta forma se pueda brindar un cuidado significativo. CONCLUSIONES: Los profesionales de enfermería tienen un rol fundamental en la construcción del vínculo terapéutico a través de la relación interpersonal de modo que les permita satisfacer las necesidades de la persona con un proceso oncológico y brindar cuidados significativos de enfermería.


INTRODUCTION. The quality of the human interaction between the health professional and the person being cared for is essential in oncology, both ethically and practically. The present article of theoretical nature has as OBJECTIVE: To reflect on the interpersonal relationship between the nursing professional and the person with an oncological condition, and to examine its relevance in the humane treatment of such persons in the provision of nursing care. METHOD: Theoretical reflection based on concepts of intersubjectivity and nursing care through literature review. It will focus primarily on the concepts of Hildegard E. Peplau, given the relevance of her interactive-integrative vision of interpersonal relationships as key to a meaningful, therapeutic interpersonal process. It also considers the concepts of the philosopher Martin Heidegger. RESULTS: Approaching nursing care from the perspective of understanding the "Being" within its environment, and not only "being there", facilitates recovery. By paying empathic attention to emotions and feelings in an effort to understand the suffering of the other, meaningful care can be provided. CONCLUSIONS: Nursing professionals have a fundamental role in building therapeutic bonds through interpersonal relationships in a way that allows them provide meaningful nursing care to persons with oncologic conditions.

ABSTRACT

Background: Epilepsy is a common disorder with co-morbidities. It affects physical, emotional, psychological, social, financial and cognitive functioning of the patients. Identification and management of psychosocial problems are important in holistic treatment of epilepsy. There is paucity of literature in psychosocial functioning in epilepsy. Aim: To find out the occurrence of psychosocial problems in patients with epilepsy. Materials and methods: One hundred consecutive patients attending the OPD of Internal Medicine were evaluated with a questionnaire subserving seven domains of psychosocial functioning with inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: The occurrence of depression, emotional instability, inter personal relationship and vocational difficulties were higher in patients with epilepsy. Conclusion: Psychosocial co-morbidities are higher in patients with epilepsy and are likely to be missed unless carefully evaluated.

RESUMEN La enfermería como profesión, con sus procesos de trabajo directamente afectados por la pandemia, encuentra en tecnologías ligeras la escucha calificada y guiada como estrategias para mejorar la relación interpersonal que se establece con el equipo de salud, la familia y el paciente (Rodrigues, Belarmino, Custódio, & Ferreira Júnior, 2020). Esta comunicación ante la pandemia ha tenido que modificarse, sin embargo, sigue siendo fundamental para el cuidado de enfermería. Objetivo: Describir los beneficios que tiene la relación interpersonal en el cuidado de enfermería. Métodos: revisión integrativa realizada entre el 14 de julio y el 30 de agosto del 2021, y parte de la pregunta estructurada ¿Qué beneficios tiene la relación interpersonal en la satisfacción del cuidado de enfermería en tiempos de pandemia? La línea de investigación: Práctica de Enfermería. Las estrategias de búsqueda utilizadas son las bases de datos MEDLINE con su buscador PUBMED, EBSCO Host, Lilacs, Redalyc y EMBASE; en el idioma inglés y español. La pesquisa de información se realizó por especificidad restringida a términos MESH y DECS y para ampliar la búsqueda se realizaron combinaciones y los motores booleanos. Conclusiones: El proceso de comunicación no es una tarea fácil y requiere mucho esfuerzo entre los involucrados. La comunicación resultó satisfactoria para el paciente y la familia cuando apunta a la calidad de la salud y a los objetivos de seguridad del paciente. Hay comunicación interpersonal de insatisfacción cuando se dan actualizaciones insuficientes sobre la condición del paciente y cuando la familia no es consultada sobre la toma de decisiones de su familiar.


ABSTRACT Nursing as a profession, with its work processes directly affected by the pandemic, finds qualified and guided listening in communication in light technologies as strategies to improve the interpersonal relationship established with the health team, the family and the patient (Rodríguez, Belarmino, Custódio, & Ferreira Júnior, 2020). Although this communication had to be modified in the face of the pandemic, it continues to be essential for nursing care. Objective: To describe the benefits of interpersonal relationships in nursing care. Methods: integrative review, January 2020- July 2021, and starts with the research question, What benefits does the interpersonal relationship have in the satisfaction of nursing care in times of pandemic? The line of research: Nursing Practice. The search strategies used were the MEDLINE databases with its PUBMED search engine, EBSCO Host, Lilacs, Redalyc and EMBASE; in English and Spanish. The information search was done by restricted specificity to MESH and DECS terms and to broaden the search, combinations and Boolean engines were performed. Conclusions: The communication process is not an easy task and requires a lot of effort among those involved. The communication was satisfactory for the patient and the family when it aims at the quality of health and the objectives of patient safety. There is interpersonal communication of dissatisfaction when insufficient updates are given on the patient's condition and when the family is not consulted on the decision-making of their relative.


RESUMO A enfermagem como profissão, com seus processos de trabalho diretamente afetados pela pandemia, encontra em tecnologías ligeiras a escuta qualificada e orientada como estratégia para melhorar a relação interpessoal estabelecida com a equipe de saúde, a família e o paciente (Rodríguez, Belarmino, Custódio, & Ferreira Júnior, 2020). Essa comunicação em face da pandemia teve de ser modificada, no entanto, continua sendo fundamental para o cuidado de enfermagem. Objetivo: Descrever os benefícios da relação interpessoal nos cuidados da enfermagem. Métodos: revisão integrativa, janeiro de 2020 a julho de 2021, e parte da questão estruturada, Quais benefícios tem a relação interpessoal na satisfação do cuidado de enfermagem em tempos de pandemia? A linha de pesquisa: Prática de Enfermagem. As estratégias de pesquisa utilizadas foram os bancos de dados MEDLINE com seus mecanismos de busca PUBMED, EBSCO Host, Lilacs, Redalyc e EMBASE; em inglês e espanhol. A pesquisa de informações foi realizada por especificidade restrita aos termos MESH e DECS e para ampliar foram utilizadas combinações de pesquisa e motores Booleanos. Conclusões: O processo de comunicação não é uma tarefa fácil e requer muito esforço entre os envolvidos. A comunicação foi satisfatória para o paciente e para a família quando abordou a qualidade das metas de saúde e segurança do paciente. Há comunicação interpessoal de insatisfação quando são dadas atualizações insuficientes sobre a condição do paciente e quando a família não é consultada sobre a tomada de decisões de seus familiares.

ABSTRACT

RESUMO. O objetivo desta pesquisa é caracterizar o convívio entre adolescentes em medida socioeducativa de internação, a partir da perspectiva dos adolescentes. Foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas com dez adolescentes entre 16 e 18 anos em uma unidade socioeducativa de Porto Alegre. Os dados gerados nas entrevistas foram organizados a partir de uma análise temática de perspectiva êmica, isto é, geraram-se categorias nativas de acordo com a percepção dos participantes. Os adolescentes revelaram que facções criminosas eram o ponto de partida para o estabelecimento de relações amistosas ou de rivalidade; também descreveram um conjunto de normas que configuravam um pacto coletivo a favor de uma ordem institucional. Relações de amizades foram descritas, indicando a confiança e a segurança como facilitador do momento de internação. Houve ainda o relato da ocorrência de relações sexuais consentidas como resultado do longo período de internação. Os resultados indicam, sobretudo, um clima interpessoal hostil que promove o sofrimento psicológico e agrava a situação de vulnerabilidade. Ademais, a convivência entre adolescentes ociosos sem o devido acompanhamento pedagógico favorece a perpetuação de valores e interesses relacionados ao envolvimento com a criminalidade.


RESUMEN. El objetivo de este artículo es caracterizar la convivencia entre adolescentes en medida socioeducativa de internamiento, desde la perspectiva de los adolescentes. Se realizó entrevistas semiestructuradas con diez adolescentes, entre 16 y 18 años, internos en una unidad socioeducativa en Porto Alegre. Los datos generados en las entrevistas fueron tratados a partir de un análisis temático émico, esto és, generando categorías nativas de acuerdo con las percepciones de los participantes. Los adolescentes revelaron que las facciones criminales eran el base para el establecimiento de relaciones de amistad y rivalidad. Describieron también un conjunto de normas que configuraban un pacto colectivo en favor de una orden institucional. Relaciones de amistad fueron retratadas, lo que indica la confianza y la seguridad como facilitadores del tiempo de internación. Había también el relato de relaciones sexuales consentidas en consecuencia del longo período de internación. Los resultados indican un clima interpersonal hostil que promueve el sufrimiento psicológico y empeora la situación de vulnerabilidad. Además, la convivencia entre adolescentes ociosos sin el apoyo pedagógico adecuado favorece la perpetuación de los valores e intereses relacionados con la implicación con la criminalidad.


ABSTRACT. The objective of this research is to characterize the coexistence among adolescents in a juvenile detention facility from their perspective. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with ten adolescents between 16 and 18 years of age in a social-educational unit in Porto Alegre. The data generated in the interviews were organized based on thematic analysis from an emic perspective, that is, generating native categories according to the perception of the participants. The adolescents revealed that criminal factions were the starting point for the establishment of friendly or rivalry relationships. They also described a set of norms that configured a collective pact in favor of an institutional order. Friendly relationships were described, indicating trust and safety as a facilitator of the moment of deprivation of liberty. There were also reports of consensual sexual relations as a result of the long period of detention. The results mainly indicate a hostile interpersonal climate that promotes psychological suffering and aggravates the situation of vulnerability. Furthermore, the coexistence of idle adolescents without the proper pedagogical following favors the perpetuation of values and interests related to involvement in criminal behaviors.

ABSTRACT

Objetivo: Diseñar y validar un instrumento de medición de la relación Interpersonal entre enfermera(o) y familia en la UCI desde las necesidades relacionales de la enfermera(o). Metodología: Estudio mixto (Cualitativo-Cuantitativo) exploratorio secuencial derivativo de 3 etapas. Primera etapa: Revisión integrativa de literatura (Fase 1) y diseño narrativo a través de análisis de contenido de entrevistas semiestructuradas a 21 profesionales de enfermería en UCI (Fase 2); Segunda etapa: Operacionalización de datos cualitativos a través de la estructuración de una red nomológica y redacción de ítems; Tercera etapa: Validez de contenido (con panel de evaluadores académicos) y estimación del índice de validez de contenido, validez facial con pilotajes cuantitativo/cualitativo, validez de constructo por medio de un análisis factorial exploratorio y confiabilidad a través del Alpha de Cronbach y test-retest. Para el panel de evaluadores se contó con la participación de 8 investigadores; en los pilotajes de validez facial participaron 20 enfermeros de UCI para cada pilotaje; para el análisis factorial exploratorio y estimación de Alpha de Cronbach participaron 218 enfermeros de UCI; y para el test-retest se tuvo la participación de 20 enfermeros en dos momentos de aplicación del instrumento con un intervalo de 7 días. Resultados y conclusiones: A partir de la revisión integrativa de literatura y del análisis de contenido de las entrevistas semiestructuradas se construyó una red nomológica que permitió el diseño de un instrumento de medición con 45 ítems. La validez de contenido permitió la reducción de 45 ítems a 23 ítems, con un IVC global de 0,9. En el pilotaje cualitativo de la validez facial se obtuvo un índice de V de Aiken superior a 0,9 para cada uno de los criterios evaluados y en el pilotaje cuantitativo se obtuvo un índice de correlación entre ítems originales y espejo superior a 0,6 además de un Alpha de Cronbach. parcial de 0,899. El análisis factorial permitió la extracción de 3 factores con explicación de más del 60% de la varianza total y los análisis de confiabilidad permitieron la obtención de un Alpha de Cronbach de 0,898 y un índice de correlación intraclase para el test-retest de 0,986. Lo anterior indica que el instrumento cuenta con validez de contenido, facial, constructo y confiabilidad suficientes para ser utilizado.


Objective: Design and validate an instrument for measuring the interpersonal relationship between nurses and families in the ICU from the nurse's relational needs. Methodology: Mixed (Qualitative-Quantitative) exploratory sequential derivative study of 3 stages. First stage: Integrative literature review (Phase 1) and narrative design through content analysis of semi-structured interviews with 21 nursing professionals in the ICU (Phase 2); Second stage: Operationalization of qualitative data through the structuring of a nomological network and item writing; Third stage: Content validity (with a panel of academic evaluators) and estimation of the content validity index, face validity with quantitative/qualitative tests, construct validity through an exploratory factor analysis and reliability through Cronbach's Alpha and test -retest For the panel of evaluators, 8 researchers participated; 20 ICU nurses participated in the facial validity tests for each test; For the exploratory factorial analysis and estimation of Cronbach's Alpha, 218 ICU patients participated; and for the test-retest, 20 nurses participated in two moments of application of the instrument with an interval of 7 days. Results and conclusions: Based on the integrative review of the literature and the content analysis of the semi-structured interviews, a nomological network was built that allowed the design of a measurement instrument with 45 items. The content validity allowed the reduction of 45 articles to 23 articles, with a global CVI of 0.9. In the qualitative test of facial validity, an Aiken's V index greater than 0.9 was obtained for each of the criteria evaluated, and in the quantitative test, a connection index between original elements and the mirror was obtained greater than 0.8. from a partial Cronbach's Alpha of 0.899. The factorial analysis allowed the extraction of 3 factors with an explanation of more than 60% of the total variance and the reliability analyzes allowed obtaining a Cronbach's Alpha of 0.898 and an intraclass achievement index for the test-retest of 0.986. This indicates that the instrument has content, facial, construct validity and sufficient reliability to be used.

ABSTRACT

It is of essential importance to identify clinical conditions of childhood and adolescence that present a high risk to evolve any kind of Personality Disorder. Personality disorder does not suddenly come out at age eighteen years old. Early sighs of some pathological behaviour that evolves before 19 years predict long term deficits in functioning and a higher chance is there these patients continue to present some symptoms up to 20 years. Some childhood and early adulthood predictive factors are responsible for excellent recovery of Personality disorder. Unfortunately, PD diagnosis and treatments both gets delayed. Adolescence represents a sensitive and vulnerable phase for the development of any kind of Personality Disorder. There is a dearth of information about emerging personality development in childhood and in adolescence. The present study attempts to explore the role of Dialectical Behavioural Therapy in the management of a 14 years old Female, Hindu, Bengali speaking, Unmarried, hailing from an urban neutral family with a diagnosis of emerged personality disorder with prominent features of impulsivity, interpersonal relationship problems, self-harm behaviours, anger outbursts. Thus the aim of the present study is to reduce these behaviours which is having an impact in her life and improving overall well-being of the individual. She was treated with DBT approach, bringing in improvement after 14 sessions.. The execution of DBT for suicidal adolescent has been presented by a case study.

ABSTRACT

The paper focuses on the concept of intersubjectivity and its importance for guiding community actions and the consequent construction of new social practices. Authors who have an epistemological reference in the focus of interrelationships, emphasizing the field of interaction as the locus in which encounters, mismatches, problems, and solutions to human issues occur, are presented. The concepts of Jacob Levy Moreno, creator of psychodrama, are laid out to support the premise that there is no possibility of one man alone; instead, there will always be a man and the other, a role and its counter role. That being said, affectivity is one of the nuclei that generate bonds and the development of groups, while, according to Moreno, the greatest expression of affectivity is the release of spontaneity-creativity.


O artigo enfoca o conceito de intersubjetividade e sua importância atual para a orientação das ações comunitárias e consequente construção de novas práticas sociais. Apresentam-se autores que têm uma referência epistemológica no enfoque das interrelações, privilegiando o campo da interação como o lócus no qual ocorrem os encontros, os desencontros, os problemas e as soluções das questões humanas. Indicam-se os conceitos de Jacob Levy Moreno, criador do Psicodrama, para sustentação da ênfase de que não há possibilidade de um homem sozinho, sempre haverá o homem e o outro, um papel e o seu contra papel. Ainda, a afetividade é um dos núcleos geradores dos vínculos e do desenvolvimento dos grupos, e de acordo com Moreno, a maior expressão da afetividade é a liberação da espontaneidade-criatividade.


El artículo se centra en el concepto de intersubjetividad y su importancia actual para guiar las acciones de la comunidad y la consecuente construcción de nuevas prácticas sociales. Se presentan autores que tienen una referencia epistemológica en el foco de las interrelaciones, privilegiando el campo de interacción como el lugar en el que ocurren encuentros, desajustes, problemas y soluciones a problemas humanos. Los conceptos de Jacob Levy Moreno, creador del Psicodrama, están indicados para apoyar el énfasis de que no hay posibilidad de un hombre solo, siempre habrá hombre y el otro, un papel y su papel contrario. Aún así, el afecto es uno de los núcleos que genera vínculos y el desarrollo de grupos, y según Moreno, la mayor expresión de afecto es la liberación de la espontaneidad-creatividad.

ABSTRACT

A formulação psicodinâmica é uma narrativa descritiva sobre a natureza e a etiologia dos problemas psíquicos do paciente que serve para orientar o tratamento e nortear a avaliação da mudança. Neste artigo, apresenta-se Core Conflictual Relationship Theme (Tema Central de Conflitos nos Relacionamentos; CCRT) CCRT e ilustra-se a sua aplicabilidade para sistematizar a formulação psicodinâmica de caso. Para isso, foram analisadas as três sessões iniciais de uma psicoterapia de uma paciente com transtorno de personalidade borderline. Discute-se as vantagens da aplicação do CCRT para sistematizar a formulação diagnóstica no contexto do ensino, da pesquisa e da prática clínica. Este estudo integra um projeto maior "A personalidade borderline e seu impacto nos processos de vinculação e mudança em psicoterapia psicanalítica", aprovado pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa (CEP 14/184).(AU)


The psychodynamic formulation is a descriptive narrative about the nature and etiology of the patient's psychological problems that serves to guide the treatment and guide the assessment of change. In this article, Core Conflictual Relationship Theme is presented (CCRT) CCRT and its applicability to systematize the psychodynamic formulation of the case is illustrated. For this, the initial three sessions of psychotherapy of a patient with borderline personality disorder were analyzed. The advantages of applying the CCRT to systematize the diagnostic formulation in the context of teaching, research and clinical practice are discussed. La formulación psicodinámica es una narración descriptiva sobre la naturaleza y etiología de los problemas psicológicos del paciente que sirve para guiar el tratamiento y guiar la evaluación del cambio. En este artículo, se presenta el tema de relación de conflicto central (CCRT) CCRT y se ilustra su aplicabilidad para sistematizar la formulación psicodinámica del caso. Para esto, se analizaron las tres sesiones iniciales de psicoterapia de un paciente con trastorno límite de la personalidad. Se discuten las ventajas de aplicar el CCRT para sistematizar la formulación diagnóstica en el contexto de la enseñanza, la investigación y la práctica clínica. Este estudio es parte de un proyecto más amplio "La personalidad límite y su impacto en los procesos de apego y cambio en la psicoterapia psicoanalítica", aprobado por el Comité de Ética de Investigación (CEP 14/184).(AU)

ABSTRACT

Resumen Este artículo se propone analizar la sociabilidad de dos grupos escolares que utilizan la violencia como recurso lúdico de interacción. El corpus empírico que se presenta está compuesto por notas de campo, entrevistas en profundidad y un grupo focal realizado con estudiantes de dos escuelas medias de la provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina. En cada una de las escuelas encontramos un grupo de estudiantes en cuya sociabilidad prima, en un caso, el uso de la fuerza física, y en el otro, las humillaciones. Concluimos que los vínculos construidos en cada caso posibilitan un contexto de informalización en el trato social que implica un doble proceso: de flexibilización de los comportamientos, pero también de autocontrol de las emociones.


Résumé Cet article vise à analyser la sociabilité de deux groupes d'élèves ayant recours à la violence comme interaction ludique. Le corpus empirique se compose de notes de terrain, d'entretiens approfondis et d'un groupe de discussion avec des élèves de deux écoles secondaires de la province de Buenos Aires, en Argentine. Nous avons trouvé un groupe d'élèves dont la sociabilité s'établit principalement par moyen de la force physique dans un cas et, dans l'autre, par moyen des humiliations. La conclusion est que les rapports établis dans les deux cas favorisent un contexte d'informalisation de la socialité qui implique un double processus: la flexibilisation des comportements, mais aussi la maîtrise de ses propres émotions.


Resumo Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar a sociabilidade de dois grupos escolares que utilizam a violência como recurso de interação lúdica. O corpus empírico apresentado é composto por notas de campo, entrevistas em profundidade e um grupo focal com alunos de duas escolas de ensino médio da província de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Em cada uma das escolas, encontramos um grupo de estudantes em cuja sociabilidade priorizam, em um caso, o uso de força física e, no outro, as humilhações. Conclui-se que as ligações construídas em cada caso possibilitam um contexto de informalização no tratamento social que envolve um duplo processo: flexibilização dos comportamentos, mas também autocontrole das emoções.


Abstract This article aims to analyze the sociability of two school groups that use violence as a ludic interaction resource. The empirical corpus presented is composed of field notes, in-depth interviews and a focus group with students from two secondary schools in Buenos Aires province, Argentina. In each school, it was found that the sociability of a group of students was shown by the use of physical force, or humiliations. It is, then, concluded that the bonds built in each case make possible a context of social informalisation that implies a double process: flexibilization of behaviors, but also self-control of emotions.

A escala Dyadic Relationship Scale (DRS) foi traduzida para o Brasil com o nome de Escala de Relacionamento da Díade (ERD), visando avaliar a qualidade do relacionamento entre cuidadores e idosos dependentes. Este estudo teve como objetivo dar continuidade ao processo de obtenção de evidências de validade da ERD para o contexto brasileiro. Participaram 205 cuidadores de idosos familiares que responderam à ERD, ao Inventário de Depressão de Beck, à Escala de Burden de Zarit e à Escala de Qualidade de Vida. Por meio de uma análise fatorial confirmatória, observa-se que o modelo de dois fatores da versão estadunidense demonstrou bons índice de ajuste aos dados. A subescala "Interação Positiva" se relacionou positivamente com qualidade de vida e negativamente com depressão e sobrecarga. A subescala "Conflitos" se relacionou negativamente com qualidade de vida e positivamente com depressão e sobrecarga. Estas evidências da ERD continuam a apontar para sua validade.


The Dyadic Relationship Scale (DRS) was translated for use in Brazil as the Escala de Relacionamento da Díade (ERD), to evaluate the quality of the relationship between caregivers and their dependent relative. This study aimed to continue the process of obtaining evidence of validity for ERD in the Brazilian context. In this study, 205 caregivers of an elderly family member responded to the ERD, Beck Depression Inventory, Zarit Burden Interview, and Quality of Life Scale. Using confirmatory factor analysis, we observed satisfactory goodness of fit indices for the two-factor model that was reported for the United States version of this instrument. The subscale "Positive Interaction" was positively related to quality of life and negatively related to depression and burden. The "Conflicts" subscale was negatively related to quality of life and positively related to depression and burden. This evidence of the ERD continues to support its validity.

Este estudio tuvo como objetivo dar continuidad al proceso de obtención de evidencias de validez de la ERD para el contexto brasileño. Participaron 205 cuidadores de ancianos familiares que respondieron la ERD, al Inventario de Depresión de Beck, la Escala de Burden de Zarit y la Escala de Calidad de Vida. O objetivo deste artigo é caracterizar o convívio de adolescentes em medida socioeducativa de internação com a equipe técnica, a partir da perspectiva dos adolescentes. Foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas com dez adolescentes, entre 16 e 18 anos, internos em uma unidade socioeducativa em Porto Alegre. Um diário de campo também foi preenchido a partir das idas a campo. Os dados foram tratados a partir de uma análise temática e interpretados com base na Teoria Bioecológica do Desenvolvimento Humano. A precariedade da infraestrutura, o número insuficiente de técnicos e a pressão do poder judiciário foram identificados como elementos contextuais que interferiam negativamente sobre os processos proximais entre adolescentes e técnicos. Ainda assim, verificaram-se elementos de reciprocidade e aprendizagem que indicavam o estabelecimento de processos proximais. Investimentos em recursos humanos e materiais e a regulamentação das demandas jurídicas podem favorecer o desenvolvimento de processos proximais entre adolescentes e equipe técnica.


This paper aims to characterize the coexistence of juvenile offenders with the technical team of a treatment facility, from the juvenile offenders' perspective. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with ten juvenile offenders, between 16 and 18 years old, at a treatment facility in Porto Alegre. A field diary was also filled after fieldwork. Data were treated based on thematic analysis and grounded on Bioecological Theory of Human Development. Precariousness of infrastructure, insufficient number of technical team members, and pressure from judiciary were identified as contextual elements that negatively interfered with proximal processes between juvenile offenders and the technical team. Nevertheless, signs of reciprocity and learning were observed, which indicated the establishment of proximal processes. Investments in human and material resources and the regulation of judicial demands may favor the development of proximal processes between juvenile offenders and the technical team.


El objetivo de este artículo es caracterizar la convivencia de adolescentes en medida socioeducativa de internamiento con el equipo técnico, desde la perspectiva de los adolescentes. Se realizó entrevistas semiestructuradas con diez adolescentes, entre 16 y 18 años, internos en una unidad socioeducativa en Porto Alegre. Un diario de campo también se llenó a partir de las asistencias a campo. Los datos fueron tratados a partir de un análisis temático e interpretados con base en la Teoría Bioecológica del Desarrollo Humano. La precariedad de la infraestructura, el número insuficiente de técnicos y la presión del poder judicial fueron identificados como elementos contextuales que interferían negativamente sobre los procesos proximales entre adolescentes y técnicos. Sin embargo, se verificaron elementos de reciprocidad y aprendizaje que indicaban el establecimiento de procesos proximales. Inversiones en recursos humanos y materiales y la regulación de las demandas jurídicas pueden favorecer el desarrollo de procesos proximales entre adolescentes y equipo técnico.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the relationships among academic self-efficacy, interpersonal re-lationship and scholastic attainment of students in a health vocational college. Methods By means of the platform named "Wenjuanxing", an online questionnaire survey was conducted in May and June 2016 among students of a health vocational college in Sichuan using a survey consisting of two questionnaires, i.e. the academic self-efficacy questionnaire compiled by Yusong Liang & Zongkui Zhou and the comprehen-sive diagnostic scale for interpersonal relationships compiled by Richang Zheng . The data from 1070 students were collected and 1034 of them (i.e. 96.636%) were valid. SPSS software (release 21.0) was utilized for the statistical analysis. The scores of academic self-efficacy, its two dimensionalities and scholastic attainment were statistically analyzed using one-way ANOVA with the factor "interpersonal distress" with three levels. Pearson correlation analysis was used to determine the correlations among academic self-efficacy, interpersonal relationship and scholastic attainment. Results The detection rate of interpersonal distress was 49.613%; for academic self-efficacy, learning ability self-efficacy and scholastic attainment of students, there were significantly differences among the groups with interpersonal distress free, some interpersonal distress and more interpersonal distress (F values were 8.397, 25.005 and 4.462 while P values were 0.000, 0.000 and 0.012 for the three type of scores respectively). There were significantly negative correlations between academic self-efficacy or learning ability self-efficacy and interpersonal relationship or its four dimensionalities (r=-0.106 to -0.226, P=0.000 to 0.001); there was a significantly positive correlation between academic self-efficacy or learning ability self-efficacy and scholastic attainment (r=0.181, P=0.000 and r=0.225, P=0.000);while there was a significantly negative correlation between scholastic attainment and each of interpersonal relationship, the way of getting along with people and talking (r=-0.079 to-0.117, P=0.000 to 0.012). Conclusion The academic self-efficacy of students in the Health Vocational College is at medium level, and that many students have interpersonal problems. Since academic self-efficacy, interper-sonal relationship and scholastic attainment influence and promote each other, we need to pay attention to improving students' academic self-efficacy and conditions of interpersonal distress in order to promote the establishment of harmonious interpersonal relationships and improve students' self-confidence and scholastic attainment in the daily teaching activities by systematic design and comprehensive training.

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of job stress on job satisfaction according to interpersonal relationship type among school dieticians and nutrition teachers. The online survey was conducted from Oct. 26th to Nov. 7th, 2017 in 2,000 randomly selected dieticians and nutrition teachers in the capital area. A total of 453 collected questionnaires were used for analysis. SPSS v.21.0 Statistical Package Program was used for the statistical process. For the results regarding interpersonal relationship type of dieticians, open-type (73.3%) was the highest, followed by self-assertive-type (23.0%), isolated-type (2.6%), and careful-type (1.1%). Regarding overall job satisfaction, ‘human relation’ was the highest, followed by ‘job itself’, ‘working environment’, and ‘personal rating & welfare system’, in that order. According to interpersonal relationship type, in the case of ‘open-type’ or ‘careful-type’, job satisfaction was relatively high. Regarding overall job stress, ‘job demand’ was the highest, followed by ‘lack of reward’, ‘organizational system’, ‘interpersonal conflict’, ‘occupational climate’, ‘job insecurity’, and ‘insufficient job control’, in that order. In accordance with interpersonal relationship type, overall job stress index was high in terms of ‘self-assertive-type’ or ‘careful-type’. For the results of analyzing the correlation between job satisfaction and job stress index, all areas showed statistically significant negative correlations. Multiple regression analysis was performed to study the effects of job stress on job satisfaction mediating interpersonal relationship type. Job stress had different effects on job satisfaction in terms of ‘open-type’ and ‘self-assertive type’. In conclusion, different strategies are needed for dieticians with different interpersonal relationship types to improve job satisfaction and to reduce job stress.

A competência social consiste em uma das condições indispensáveis para a atribuição de saúde mental. Este estudo objetivou avaliar o repertório de Habilidades Sociais (HS) em adultos idosos e adultos e verificar se adultos idosos, especialmente as faixas etárias mais velhas, apresentavam um repertório menos desenvolvido em HS. Participaram desse estudo 135 indivíduos saudáveis com idades entre 18 e 83 anos, distribuídos em dois grupos: um grupo de adultos idosos com 61 participantes, e outro grupo de adultos, com 74 indivíduos. Os instrumentos utilizados foram um protocolo de caracterização sociodemográfica e de saúde, o Inventário de Habilidades Sociais-Del Prette (IHS) para adultos e o IHS adaptado para idosos. Houve correlações significativas e negativas entre a idade avançada dos participantes e as HS no escore geral GIHS (Escore Geral do Inventario de Habilidades Sociais; r=0,20), no afeto positivo F2 (r= 0,249), na conversação e desenvoltura social F3 (r=0,259) e, no autocontrole da agressividade F5 (r=0,490). Os adultos idosos, apresentaram interações sociais mais restritas e um repertório nas HS menos desenvolvido, em comparação aos adultos. O desenvolvimento de políticas públicas que valorizem as HS para auxiliar a sustentar o bem-estar na idade adulta mais velha é uma necessidade do contexto socioeconômico e cultural brasileiro.


Social competence comprises one of the indispensable conditions for mental health. The aim of this study was to evaluate the Social Skills (SS) repertoire in older adults and adults to verify whether older adults, especially those of the older age groups, present a less developed SS repertoire. Participants of this study were 135 healthy subjects aged 18 to 83 years, divided into two groups: one group (Older Adults Group [OAG]) consisting of 61 older adults, and the other group (Adults Group [AG]) consisting of 74 adults. The instruments used were a sociodemographic and health characterization questionnaire, the Social Skills Inventory-Del Prette (SSI) for adults and the SSI adapted for older adults. There were significant and negative correlations between the age of the participants and the overall SS score GSSI (Overall Score Social Skills Inventory; r=.20), in the positive affect F2 (r=.249), in the conversation and social confidence F3 (r=.259) and in self-control of aggressiveness F5 (r=.490) factors. The OAG presented more restricted social interactions and a less developed SS repertoire, compared to the AG. The development of public policies that valorize SS to help sustain the well-being of older adults is a necessity in the Brazilian socioeconomic and cultural context.

El estudio objetivó evaluar el repertorio de Habilidades Sociales (HS) en adultos mayores y adultos y verificar si los ancianos, de manera especial los grupos de edades más avanzadas, presentaban un repertorio menos desarrollado en HS. Participaron 135 personas sanas, con edades entre 18 y 83 años, seleccionados en dos grupos: un grupo de 61 adultos mayores, y otro grupo de 74 personas adultos. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron preguntas de caracterización socio demográfica y de salud, el Inventario de Habilidades Sociales-Del Prette (IHS) para adultos y, para los mayores, ha sido adaptado el IHS. Hubo correlación significativa negativa entre la edad avanzada de los participantes y las HS en la puntuación general GIHS (Escore Geral do Inventario de Habilidades Sociais; r=.20), en el afecto positivo F2 (r=.249), en la conversación y desenvoltura sociales F3 (r=.259), y en el autocontrol de la agresividad F5 (r=.490). Los adultos mayores presentaron interacciones sociales más restrictas y un repertorio en las HS menos desarrollado, en comparación a los adultos. ABSTRACT

Este estudo tem como objeto: as relações interpessoais entre os trabalhadores de enfermagem em um hospital pediátrico. As relações interpessoais no trabalho de enfermagem constituem um aspecto importante para o desenvolvimento do processo do cuidar na qual se destaca como uma das formas de comunicação/expressão entre seres humanos visto que inclui os sujeitos no grupo, favorecendo para além de uma realização de vida no trabalho a melhoria da qualidade da assistência prestada. Objetivo geral: compreender como se estabelecem as relações interpessoais entre os profissionais de enfermagem para o desenvolvimento do cuidar da criança e sua família no contexto da emergência pediátrica e como objetivos específicos: descrever os elementos que configuram as relações interpessoais dos profissionais de enfermagem no trabalho em pediatria na perspectiva do profissional e analisar as possibilidades e limites nas relações interpessoais dos profissionais de enfermagem para o desenvolvimento do cuidar da criança e sua família. Cenário: o estudo foi realizado na unidade de emergência (UE) de um hospital universitário federal pediátrico no estado do Rio de Janeiro. Participaram do estudo 19 profissionais de enfermagem sendo seis enfermeiros e 13 técnicos de enfermagem. Resultados: os dados foram analisados baseados na análise temática de conteúdo e emergiram duas categorias temáticas: 1. As relações humanas interpessoais no trabalho da enfermagem e sua implicação na produção de cuidado da criança, O profissional de enfermagem na relação com a criança e sua família no contexto hospitalar durante o desenvolvimento do cuidado. A categoria 1 não apresentou sub temas, enquanto a categoria 2, expressou dois sub temas: 2.1 As possibilidades nas relações humanas interpessoais dos profissionais de enfermagem com a criança e sua família no desenvolvimento do cuidado; 2.2 Os limites nas relações humanas interpessoais no desenvolvimento do cuidado à criança e sua família. Os temas acolhimento, confiança; diálogo, relações profissionais e pessoais no ambiente de trabalho, amizade e união foram apontados pelos profissionais de enfermagem como elementos que configuram as relações interpessoais entre os profissionais para o desenvolvimento do trabalho. Os profissionais apresentaram o diálogo, respeito, confiança, gostar de cuidar da criança e relacionarem-se bem com a criança como possibilidades no relacionamento interpessoal no desenvolvimento do cuidar da criança. Foram apontados como limites no relacionamento dos profissionais de enfermagem as dificuldades na relação com o familiar que acompanha a criança internada e também o sofrimento relacionado ao envolvimento afetivo durante o cuidado da criança. Conclusão: olhar as relações humanas interpessoais sob a luz da complexidade permitiu compreender o sujeito humano em processo relacional no ambiente de trabalho. Neste estudo cuidar em pediatria pressupões saberes além do saber técnico. O profissional de enfermagem ao entrar em contato com os clientes precisam considerar que o cuidado é relacional e envolver-se na interação eu-tu proporciona vivenciar experiências com próprios sentimentos. Entender o ser humano na perspectiva da complexidade é considerar que as limitações fazem parte da condição humana entendendo que o que aparentemente pode parecer como uma limitação, também torna-se possibilidade quando compreendida como um modo diferente de ver e lidar com o fenômeno. A relações humanas interpessoais devem ser priorizadas uma vez que foi sinalizado que a forma como as pessoas se relacionam interferem no produto final do trabalho, no caso o cuidado a criança e sua família


This study aims at the interpersonal relationships among nurses in a pediatric hospital. The interpersonal relationships on nursing work are an important aspect for developing the process of caring in which it detaches as being one of the communication/expression ways among human beings since it includes the subjects of the group, facilitating, beyond a work lifetime achievement, the improvement of the quality of the assistance offered. General goal: to understand how interpersonal relationships are set among nurses for developing the care of children and their family on the context of pediatric emergency and as specific goals: to describe the elements that configure the interpersonal relationships of nurses working on Pediatricsin the perspective of the professional and to analyze the possibilities and limits on interpersonal relationships of nurses for developing care of children and their family. Scenario: the study was carried out on an emergency unit (EU) of a Federal University Pediatric Hospitalat Rio de Janeiro. Nineteen nursing professionals have participated: 6 nurses and 13 nursing technicians. Results: the data were analyzed based on content thematic analysis and two categories emerged: 1. Human interpersonal relationships on nursing work and its implication on the production of childcare, The nursing professional on the relationship with the child and his family in the hospital context during care development. The category 1 did not present subthemes, however the category 2 presented two subthemes: 2.1 The possibilities on interpersonal human relationships of nursing professionals with the child and his family on development of care; 2.2 The limits on interpersonal human relationships on development of care concerning the child and his family. The subjects: reception, confidence; dialog, professional and personal relationships on work environment, friendship and union were pointed out by the nursing professionals as elements configuring interpersonal relationships among the professionals for work development. The professionals presented dialog, respect, confidence, liking taking care of the child and having a good relationship with the child as possibilities of interpersonal relationship of childcare. As limits on nursing professionals relationship there were pointed out the difficulties on the relationship with the family member accompanying the hospitalized child and also the suffering concerning affective involvement during childcare. Conclusion: looking at interpersonal human relationships under the light of the complexity allowed understanding the human subject on relational process on work environment. In this study, care in Pediatrics requires knowledge beyond the technical know-how. The nursing professional, when he gets in touch with the clients, needs to consider that the care is relational and engaging in the interaction me-you allows living experiences with the own feelings. Understanding the human being on the perspective of the complexity is to consider that the limitations are part of human condition, understanding that what may look a limitation, becomes a possibility when it is understood as a different way of seeing and dealing with the phenomenon. Interpersonal human relationships must be prioritized once it was shown that the way people relate interferes on the work final product, in this case the care of the child and his family

ABSTRACT

<p><b>Objective</b>To observe the clinical efficacy of Kangle Decoction in the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) with liver-qi stagnation and kidney deficiency.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>A total of 79 ED patients with liver-qi stagnation and kidney deficiency were randomly assigned to an experimental group (aged [36.62±8.05] yr and with a disease course of [18.15±6.41] mo) and a control group (aged [37.44±8.10] yr and with a disease course of [17.51±6.79] mo), the former treated orally with Kangle Decoction at 0.5 dose bid while the latter with Cialis at 10 mg qd alt, both for 8 weeks. Before treatment, after 4 and 8 weeks of medication, and at 4 weeks after drug withdrawal, we obtained the scores of the patients in the International Index of Erectile Function-5 (IIEF-5), Erectile Dysfunction Inventory of Treatment Satisfaction (EDITS), and Short-Form Psychological and Interpersonal Relationship Scales (SF-PAIRS), and compared the indexes between the two groups of patients.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>The IIEF-5 score was dramatically increased in both the treatment and control groups after 4 weeks (13.40±2.42 and 16.00±2.68) and 8 weeks of medication (18.60±3.50 and 18.59±3.80) and at 4 weeks after drug withdrawal (17.00±3.05 and 13.95±2.61) as compared with the baseline (10.78±2.28 and 10.77±2.33) (P<0.05 ), even higher in the treatment than in the control group after drug withdrawal (P<0.05 ). The EDITS scores in the treatment and control groups were (28.88±3.31 and 28.90±3.31) after 4 weeks of intervention, (29.68±3.30 and 29.13±3.32) after 8 weeks of intervention, and (29.20±2.92 and 26.82±3.23) at 4 weeks after drug withdrawal, all significantly higher in the former than in the latter group after drug withdrawal (P<0.05 ). The sexual self-confidence score (SSCS), sexual spontaneity score (SSS), and sexual time-concern score (STCS) were all improved in the treatment and control groups after medication as compared with the baseline (P<0.05 ), even higher in the former than in the latter group after drug withdrawal (P<0.05 ).</p><p><b>CONCLUSIONS</b>Kangle Decoction has a definite efficacy in the treatment of ED with liver-qi stagnation and kidney deficiency, with few adverse reactions and long-term post-withdrawal effect, and therefore deserves a wide clinical application.</p>

ABSTRACT

The prevalence of occupational stress among academician is increasing in developed and developing countries. The job is not only to teach, but also involve in doing research, publications, consultation and administrative work. This study aims to assess the prevalence of occupational stress among academic staff in a research university and to investigate the association and correlation between stress and job factors which are career development, research, teaching and interpersonal relationship. One research university in Malaysia was selected randomly. A cross-sectional study was conducted and the respondents were recruited by using a randomized stratified sampling method. A total of 380 self-administered and validated Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale-21 (DASS-21) and Stress Sources Questionnaires (SSQ) were distributed among academic staff between March to May 2012. The statistical analyses used were χ2, independent–t test and Pearson Correlation. Response rate was 81.1%. Stress prevalence was 22.1%. All socio-demographic factors showed no association with stress except ethnic group. Teaching, research and career development had significant association with stress among academic staff (p<0.05). Overall result showed career development, that include university condition and required publications for promotion were the greatest source of stress among the academicians. Occupational stress showed positive linear relationship to career development, research and teaching. There was a fair positive relationship between occupational stress and career development, research and teaching. It is recommended to organize continuous stress assessment program to identify and evaluate the current level of stress at the university level. This data could be a foundation for implementing prevention and control measures to reduce stress in the workplace.

ABSTRACT

PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to develop an Enneagram program (EP) and examine the effects on codependency, anger and interpersonal relationship in wives of alcoholics. METHODS: A nonequivalent control group pre-posttest design was used. Participants were 26 wives of alcoholics (experimental group: 12, control group: 14). From March 17 to August 18, 2014, six two-hour sessions of EP were provided to the experimental group over six weeks. Data were collected using the Codependency Recovery Potential Survey (CRPS), Korean State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory (STAXI-K) and Relationship Change Scale (RCS). and analyzed using PASW 18.0 with Fisher's exact test, t-test, and Mann-Whitney U test. RESULTS: The experimental group showed lower scores for codependency (Z=-2.17, p=.030) and anger (Z=-2.43, p=.015) than the control group. However, there was no significant difference in interpersonal relationship score between two groups. CONCLUSION: The EP for wives of alcoholics was effective in improving codependency and anger. A randomized clinical trial is needed to confirm the value of this EP.

Analisar a participação dos alunos no fórum Webcafé no curso de especialização em Gestão em Enfermagem, modalidade a distância. Estudoexploratório, quantitativo, realizado com 268 discentes, que foi conduzido em 10 cidades de três regiões brasileiras. A coleta dos dados ocorreuem 2014 a partir do levantamento das postagens dos alunos realizadas no fórum Webcafé, nos quatro tópicos de discussão: “vamos compartilharconhecimento”, “aconteceu comigo”, “classificados” e “cursos, palestras e similares”. Foram identificadas 248 postagens do tutor mediador e 324dos discentes, sendo que as dos alunos foram classificadas utilizando-se a triangulação de investigador. O fórum contou com a representação dealunos de todos os polos em que o curso foi ofertado. O tópico com mais participação foi o “aconteceu comigo” e teve predomínio de postagensrelacionadas a problemas de saúde de familiares de alunos. Houve predomínio das seguintes classificações nos demais tópicos: mensagens entreos alunos e o tutor mediador e informações sobre cursos de curta duração, postagens sobre a aplicabilidade do material do curso e elogiose a divulgação de concursos públicos e vagas hospitalares. Concluiu-se que a criação do fórum Webcafé, um espaço sem caráter avaliativo emediado por um tutor, pode ser adotado em cursos EaD com o intuito de viabilizar a interação entre alunos dos diferentes polos e contemplartemáticas diversas, demonstrando o potencial versátil e inovador dessa proposta.


The study aimed to describe student participation in the forum “internet café” of a distance learning nursing management course. This is an exploratoryquantitative study carried out with 268 students in ten cities of three Brazilian regions. Data was collected in 2014 through a survey of students’ postingson four discussion topics: “let’s share knowledge”; “it happened to me”; “advertisements”; and “courses, seminars and similar.” The researchers identified 248posts from the tutor and 324 from the students. Students’ posts were classified using an investigator triangulation. Students from all the centres, in whichthe course was offered, participated in the forum. “It happened to me” was the discussion topic with the highest participation. Most posts were related tohealth problems of students’ family members. In the remaining topics, there were: messages between the students and the tutor and information about shortcourses; postings on the applicability of course material; compliments and information about government job opening positions and hospital vacancies.In conclusion, a forum as “internet café”, not subjected to evaluation and mediated by a tutor, can be adopted in distance learning education in order tofacilitate interaction between students from other centres and to discuss different topics, showing the potential of this versatile and innovative proposal.


El objetivo de esta investigación fue analizar la participación de alumnos en el foro Webcafé del curso de especialización de Gestión en Enfermería (Adistancia). Se trata de un estudio exploratorio cuantitativo llevado a cabo con 268 estudiantes de diez ciudades de tres regiones brasileñas. Los datosse recogieron en 2014 a través del relevamiento de sus mensajes en el foro Webcafé, en cuatro temas de discusión: “compartamos conocimiento”, “mesucedió a mí”, “avisos clasificados” y “charlas, cursos, y similares”. Se identificaron 248 mensajes del tutor mediador y 324 de los alumnos. Los mensajesde los alumnos se clasificaron usando la triangulación de los investigadores. El foro contó con la participación de estudiantes de todos los centros queimpartieron el curso. El tema más discutido fue “Me sucedió a mí” con mayoría de mensajes sobre problemas de salud de familiares. En los demástemas de clasificación predominaron mensajes entre los alumnos y el tutor mediador...
