ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT

Abstract: The purpose of this article is to present the topic: The Third Space: Displacement Properties of the Psycho-Cultural Experience, referring to the potential space in early human development, which interacts with its historic occurrence in the socio-cultural world. It arises mostly from thoughtful consideration obtained from psychoanalytic consultation with children and adults, as well as investigation of the relationship between psychoanalysis and literatura Psychotherapy with children takes place in a play space, in a psychological workshop where the symptoms causing a disturbance are identified and the conflict is focused in an intermediate zone, thus named by D.W. Winnicott; it is not that far from the treatment of adult patients, wherein the analysis process of the subconscious takes place and creates a time and space of ambiguity and estrangement. Such processes of a clinical nature allow observing that throughout these and human cultural production there is a space which is opened until the transfer of the experience takes place, that is the: third space. Another way to observe this third space is through language; the ambiguous and uncertain component, which takes place in semantic displacement in the literary text. Therefore that temporal and spatial ambiguity, which encourages the displacement of language processes, into cultural expression and artistic productions or psychosocial phenomena, has as its foundation those intra-psychic transitional processes, noticed since early development. Taken amply, the third space is proposed as a theoretical and investigative field becauseit contributes to the reading and investigation of psychoanalytic texts

ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT

The article proposes an approach to learning difficulties from a clinical, psychodynamic and psychoanalytic point of view, highlighting certain intra-psychic movements that may be involved, including the process of psychic inhibition. Such movements can significantly affect the development of the child and adolescent in the school environment, causing problems in acquiring the knowledge offered by the school and, in some cases, changing the subject's ability to maintain good relationship with classmates and teachers. A clinical situation is presented to illustrate the author's proposal, a situation based on the therapeutic work of a 6-year-old boy, Joaquim.

ABSTRACT

As Michel Foucault would say, the understanding of the concept of symptom requires a revision of history, an archaeological work, to understand the different traditions in the psychological clinic. For this reason, this paper makes a brief tour through a discursive and theoretical body not seeking to tire out all formulations of the concept of the symptom, but attempting to outline an articulation of some historical and theoretical fragments on this concept, taking up notions and definitions from the individual vision of the analytical clinic, to the relational and linking vision of the systemic paradigm.

ABSTRACT

The authors discuss the concepts of representation and symbolization inserted in their metapsychological contexts. This way, they explore the freudian, kleinian and bionion psychoanalytic model respectively, searching to understand the logic origin of these concepts, as well as contrast them, observe their development and discuss the clinical, theoretical and technical implication. In the freudian scope, the authors rely on Freud, Garcia-Roza, Laplanche e Pontalis, Green and Botella & Botella; in the kleinian field, they make use of Klein, Jones, Ferenczi, Susan Isaacs; and finally, in the bionion perspective, Meltzer, Bion, Ogden and Ferro. Lastly, it is described some of their repercussion in the psychoanalytic clinic and Technique

ABSTRACT

In this paper, the evolution of the term psychopathy and its different conceptualizations throughout different stages in the history of contemporary psychiatry is reviewed. It begins with the first clinical descriptions made by the alienists, to continue with the contributions of classical psychiatry of the early nineteenth century. The contributions made by the psychoanalytic tradition and its attempts to deepen the deeper understanding of the intrapsychic functioning of the disorder are also reviewed. In contrast, we also reviewed the most current descriptions contained in the DSM and ICD manuals, which in an attempt to define more objective diagnostic criteria appear to have fallen into a kind of criminalization of the disorder

ABSTRACT

This lecture on André Green's work is based in two ideas. The first one is that André Green's work is defined by the Project of a new Freudian contemporary paradigm. The second one is that one of its main sources is the current clinical experience and the reflexion on its historical singularity and technical specific traits. "How does the mind of the contemporary analyst work's?" constitutes a central and representative question of the author research. In order to answer this question this lecture developed the succession of three historical phases in the evolution of the analyst's activity (following the story line of countertransference development): Freudian, Post-freudian and Contemporary. In particular is focused on the passage from a "totalising idea" of countertransference, which includes the whole mental functioning of the analyst and that is the core concept of the post-Freudian clinical model, to an "integrated (or framed) concept of counter-transference, within a broader and more complex contemporary view of the analyst's psychic work (a tertiary conceptual axe in which the notions of frame and analyst "inner frame" are central; into which countertransference is include, subordinated to the analyst's representation work).

ABSTRACT

The Author postulates that the concept of a "death drive" in Freud's work arouses bewilderment in the psychoanalytic thought, because even though it's linked with the original Freudian discovery of an unconscious, fantasy related, autoerotical and anarchic psychosexuality, on the other hand it favors the idea of a psychic dynamics of a biologic and innate kind, which makes of the intrapsychic conflict a conflict of an instinctive kind - which by definition is unsurpassable.
