ABSTRACT

Depression disorder is a kind of serious mental illness which poses high health risks and heavy financial burden to individuals and the society. Currently, there are many theories on the pathogenesis of depression disorder, such as neurotransmitter disorders, endocrine disorders, abnormal neuronal adaptability and plasticity, oxidative stress and mitochondrial dysfunction and so on. In the lately decade, the research of immune dysfunction in the pathogenesis of depression has become a newly hot-point. This review summarizes NLRP3 inflammasome in the pathogenesis of depression disorder.

ABSTRACT

The ulcerative colitis is closely related to colitis associated cancer. The main mechanisms related to the occurrence, development and malignant transformation of CAC includes NF-κB pathway, signal transducers and ac-tivator of transcription(STAT) and related protein pathways, intestinal microflora imbalance, the immune microen-vironment,Toll-like receptor (TLR)-related pathway and so on.

ABSTRACT

Ocular infection of herpes simplex virus-1 (HSV1) can result in herpetic stromal keratitis (HSK),which impairs vision and is a common cause of human blindness.Studies indicated that HSK lesions are mainly orchestrated by CD4+ T cells.Herpesvirus entry mediator (HVEM),a tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member, facilitates virus entry through interactions with viral glycoprotein D (gD).HVEM,a widely expressed tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor superfamily member with diverse roles in immune signaling.Intriguingly,HVEM has five receptors:two costimulatory molecules (LIGHT and LT-α),two coinhibitory molecules (BTLA and CD160),and the HSV-gD.HVEM is referred to as a molecular switch because of its capacity to deliver costimulatory signals when bound to LIGHT/LT-α and to produce inhibitory signals when bound to BTLA/CD160.In this paper, the researching progress of the five receptors functions of HVEM and CD160/BTLA-HVEM-LIGHT/LT-α signaling pathway in the HSK were reviewed. We have to provide an insight into the pathogenesis of HSK and clinical ideas for the effective treatment of HSK.Through effective clinical intervention, the inflammatory immune response is reduced, thereby achieving therapeutic effects on recurrence of autoimmune diseases and chronic immune diseases.

ABSTRACT

@#Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), including the familial and the sporadic, accounts for the most proportion of motor neuron disease. The pathogenesis of ALS covers gene mutation, oxidative stress, excitotoxicity, mitochondrial dysfunction, immune and inflammatory, and so on. With interplay and interrelation, these mechanisms, finally, caused multisystem lesion especially motor neural system.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To review the research progress of pathogenesis mechanism of spinal deformity in neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1). METHODS: Recent literature concerning the pathogenesis mechanism of spinal deformity in NF1 was extensively reviewed, and current developments of the correction of spinal deformity and NF1 and the pathogenesis mechanism were summarized. RESULTS: The pathogenesis mechanism of spinal deformity in NF1 is not yet clearly known. Current theories include erosion and stress of neurofibromas, melatonin-related decreased contractility of paraspinal muscles, osteopenia and osteoporosis, sexual precocity and mesoderm dysplasia. CONCLUSIONS: The clinical manifestations of NF1 may cause the spinal deformities in patients with NF1. The research of pathogenesis mechanism of spinal deformity in NF1 will be conducive to further understanding, diagnosis and treatment of NF1-related spinal deformity.

ABSTRACT

It was confirmed that acetylcholine signaling pathway and dopamine signaling pathway play critical roles in refractive development. Many evidences have supported that acetylcholine and its receptor antagonists were closely related to the formation of experimental myopia.Retinal dopamine signaling could exert a significant influence on refractive development, and its upregulation induced by light comprises an important component of the retinal clock network;meanwhile, the retinal dopamine signaling could also participate in the regulation of retinal circadian rhythms. The role of intrinsic retinal circadian rhythms in the developing process of myopia is gaining increasing attention. Moreover,it was also found that both acetylcholine and dopamine signaling pathways influence the development of myopia. Therefore, the present paper summarizes the two signaling pathways in the mechanisms of regulating myopia process, which provides an insight into the pathogenesis of myopia and clinical ideas for the effective prevention and treatment of myopia.

ABSTRACT

Age-related macular degeneration(AMD)is a kind of degenerative diseases with complex pathogenesis and stimulation of multiple factors. It has become one of the major diseases causing-blindness in the elderly population in China.Recently, some epidemiological findings demonstrated that diabetes mellitus possibly is one of risk factors for AMD,and this will offers a new approach for the prevention and treatment of AMD.Thus,it is very important for US to strengthen the research of mechanism of AMD impacted by diabetes mellitus, pay more attention to the progress of AMD,search for a scientific and rational therapeutic way of improving the prognosis and elevate the quality of life in the patients with diabetes mellitus.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the synthesizing and secretion of hippocampus neuron amino acid on epilepsy, and explore the pathogenesis of epilepsy attack. Methods We treated culturing hippocampus neuron cell in rats by coriaria lactone(CL), and measured the contents of glutamate(Glu), asparte(Asp), gama aminobutyric(GABA) and glycocine(Gly) of the internal and external culturing hippocampus neuron cell by high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC).Results The Glu synthesizing of epilepsy hippocampus neuron cell increased relatively, the Glu secretion increased significantly( P 0 05), or decreased relatively, the secretion increased significantly( P
