RESUMEN
We report 95 cases of retinal dtachement in patients aged from 17 to 82 years, aphakic [49 cases] and pseudophakic [46 cases]. Risk factors are vitreous issue, inflammation, Yag capsulotomy, retinal predisposal lesions and secondary implantation. Surgery is not different from other retinal detachement. Anatomic result are successful in 66% of aphakic and in 70% of pseudophakic patients

We studied AIDS oculars lesions in 12 tunisian patients from 1989 to 1992. ophthalmological manifestations were present in 10 cases and revielated ADIS disease in 2 cases. The main lesion was that of the posterior segment: cotton wool spots: 6 cases, cytomegalovirus retinites: 2 cases, toxoplasmic retinochoroiditis: 1 case, periphlebetis: 1 case, retinal hemorrhage :1 case. There was a lesion of anterior segment in 2 cases. Cotton-wool spots and cytomegalovirus retinitis are elements of bad prognosis. The follow up of every patient who is HIV positive must be regular

Diabetic oedematous retinopathy may provoke central vision loss in patients. 51 cases were studied and classified into focal macular oedema and diffuse macular oedema cystoid or not. They were treated with focal photocoagulation when lesions were seen and with grid perifoveol photocoagulation when oedema was diffuse or cystoid. Results were good. We obtain at least visual acuity stabilisation. But results depend also on other extra-ocular factors as associated hypertension and renal sufficiency
