RESUMEN

A series of 1,2-diphenyl-3,5-bis [alkyl and /or aryl amino] pyrazolium perchlorates [2a-e] 1,2-diphenyl-3-substituted 5-pyrazolones 3a-c, 4a-c, 6 and 1,2 diphenyl-5-pyrazolone Schiff's bases 7a-d were prepared. Some of the prepared compounds were tested for their antiinflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic activities

RESUMEN

Two experiments were conducted on 168 Nile cat fish [N.C. fish] to study the influence of dissolved oxygen [DO] deficiency and tank volume on survival and growth of fish. The fishes in the 1st experiment were divided into 5 groups. Fishes in groups 1, 2 and 3 were kept at three different levels of dissolved oxygen [4.9, 1.2 and 0.2 mg/LD.0], but fishes in groups 4 and 5 were kept in aquarium without water and in aquarium filled with mud in case of group 5. It was found that N.C. fish could survive for 45 hours outside without any apparent harmful effect. In the 2nd experiment, fishes were divided into six equal groups. Fishes in groups 1, 2 and 3 were kept in aquaria without aerators supply at amount of water 9 L, 45 L and 90 L/aquarium, respectively, but fishes in groups 4, 5 and 6 were kept in aquaria with aerators supply at amount of water 9 L, 45 L and 90 L/aquarium, respectively. From the results obtained, it was concluded that the growth rate and the food conversion efficiency of N.C. fish is negatively affected by low level of dissolved oxygen [DO] as well as the small volumes of water
