RESUMEN
OBJECTIVE: To study the attenuation action of Liuwei dihuang pill on Aristolochia Fangchi-induced toxicity through determination of the content of Aristolochia acid A in Aristolochia Fangchi. METHODS: After mixed decoction of Aristolochia Fangchi with Liuwei dihuang pill,the content of Aristolochhia acid A was determined by HPLC and the content change was observed. RESULTS: Aristolochia acid A content in Aristolochia Fangchi was markedly decreased after intervention by Liuwei dihuang pill. CONCLUSION: The attenuation action of Liuwei dihuang pill is related to the downregulation of Aristolochhia aicd A content in Aristolochia Fangchi.

OBJECTIVE: To search the attenuation action of Tianzhicao capsules on doxorubicin induced toxicity.METHODS: Hepatoma H22 tumor-bearing mice were administrated with Tianzhicao capsules and doxorubicin orally.Then the growth of mice,changes in electrocardiogram (ECG),myocardial enzymes and myocardial morphological changes were determined after administration.RESULTS:Tianzhicao capsules were not in synchronism with the action potential depolarization in ventricular muscle and cardiac injury induced by doxorubicin.Tianzhicao capsule also inhibited the increase of serum LHD and doxorubicin-induced cardiac injury.CONCLUSION: Tianzhicao capsules show attenuation effect on doxorubicin-induced toxicity.
