RESUMEN

It was the first time that the complotypes of 84 chromosomes from Han nationality healthyChinese families investigated and analyzed in Guangdong are a with the methods adopted fromthe international complement reference laboratory.The results showed 18 various complolypeswere identified.The precedent complotypes are SC31,SC42,SC32 and SC41.There were 7 com-potypes of them existing the linkage disequilibria.The highest allotypes gene frequencies of thefour loci of complotypes were respectively as follows,BF S for BF alleles,C2C for C2 alleles,C4A3 and C4A4 for C4A alleles,C4B2 and C4B1 for C4B alleles.The C4AQO allele for C4A lo-cus was 4.8% and 1.2%C4BQO alleles for C4B locus.The frequencies of major complolypesfrom the data showed the similarities among Mongolian,Caucasian,Japanese and south easternAsia populations.The significance of the different frepuencies between the complotypes has beendiscussed.

RESUMEN

The human complement C4 electropheresis bands of 171 serem samples were scaned with UltroScan aser Densitometer(LK.B2202),and the ratio of C4A to C4B of(R value)of each sample was calculated.It was found that he R values of samples with C4A~* QO range from 0.068 to 0.429 with an average of 0.228,while the R values of amples with C4B~* QO range from 2.197 to 9.334 with an average of 3.973.The R values of 7 samples with duplicated genes at C4B locus were very small(range from 0.120 to 0.625),and among them,the R values of samples with 4A~*QO were significantly different from that of samples without C4A~* QO.This results indicated that it is reasonable to assignate C4~* QO gene and duplicated gene according to the R value of each sample.In addition,we have found that among the most common C4 phenotype 3,3/1,1,the R values were shown as normal distribution,but the R values of C4 phenotypes 3,3/2,1,3,3/2,2 and 3, 2/1,1 were mostly above 1.0,while the R values of 4,4/2,2 and 4,4/2,1 were mostly below 1.0.The differences between R values of C4 phenotypes in these two groups were signifficant(P

RESUMEN

Allotypes and complotypes of Bf, C4A and C4B in 42 families with myasthenia gravis (MG) were determined by means of high voltage agarose gel elect rophoresis of EDTA plasma and subsequent immunofixation, in an attempt to determine whether specific allotypes and/or complotypes were associated with this disease. From the family-data, 108 complotypes were obtained, which could be classified into 28 kinds of complotypes. We found that there are positive linkage disequilibra in S42, S31 and S40,and negative linkage disequilibra in S32 and S41. Compared of these results with those of normal controls, the frequency of S42 is significantly increased in MG(P 0.05).Furhter analysis showed that the MG associated S42 may result from that C4A4 is strongly associated with MG, while C4A4 is in linkage disequilibrium with Bf S and C4A2. Preliminary association mechanism between C4A4 and MG was analysed and discused.
