RESUMO

To detect the expression level of ICOS on Th9 cells in mice infected with Schistosoma japonicum, and investigate the relation between ICOS signaling and Th9 cell polarization.Twenty-five mice with S. japonicum infection were used as models. IL-9+cells in CD4+ T cells and ICOS+ cells in Th9 cells of the mice were detected by flow cytometry 0, 4, 7, 9 weeks and 12 weeks after the infection.Compared with that 0 week after the infection, the proportion of Th9 cells in CD4+ T cells of the mice significantly increased 4, 7, 9, 12 weeks after the infection (all P < 0.05), and the proportion of ICOS+ cells in Th9 cells also markedly improved (P < 0.05).In S. japonicum infection, the ICOS signaling may have a regulatory effect on Th9 cell polarization.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVESTo define the expression of single-chain variable fragment (ScFv) against hepatitis B virus core protein (HBc) mediated by recombinant replication defective adenovirus carrying the anti-HBc ScFv gene in vitro and to define the activity of anti-HBc ScFv combining HBcAg.

METHODSThe recombinant adenoviruses carrying anti-HBc ScFv gene generated by homologous recombination in bacteria and packaged in 293 cells were transfected into HepG2 cells, and the anti-HBc ScFv was detected using SDS-PAGE and Western blot.

RESULTSGreen fluorescent protein (GFP) was observed in HepG2 cells after the transfection. SDS-PAGE displayed a protein strap about 2.7 x 10(4), and the result of Western blot displayed a positive reactive strap.

CONCLUSIONAnti-HBc ScFv can be expressed in cells mediated by recombinant replication defective adenovirus carrying the anti-HBc ScFv gene.

RESUMO

As it is impossible for an active catheter with a very small space to accommodate overmany lead wires in minimally-invasive surgery, a matrix network system is presented, in this paper, to control SMA actuators using minimum lead wires. Pulse current is adjusted by pulse width modulation (PWM) signals from the single-chip processor. In addition, multiple SMA actuators' cooperation helps the active catheter to succeed in guiding motion.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE@#To detect the Coxsackie virus B3(CVB3) gene in myocardium and spleen tissues in viral myocarditis(VMC) with sudden death and to explore the diagnostic method for VMC by means of seeking pathogene.@*METHODS@#By in situ RT-PCR, the detection of CVB3 gene in myocardium and spleen sections were performed in sudden death group caused by VMC and non-cardiac death group.@*RESULTS@#In VMC group, CVB3 gene-positive signals were seen in myocardium sections(3 out of total 8 cases, No. 1, 4, 7 cases) and spleen sections(4 out of total 8 cases, No. 2, 4, 6, 7 cases). In non-cardiac death group, no positive signals were detected in both myocardium and spleen tissues.@*CONCLUSION@#Positive detection of CVB3 gene in both myocardium and spleen maybe an important character of VMC and can improve the detecting pathogene in diagnosing VMC.
