Em busca da cara-metade: motivações para a escolha do cônjuge / Looking for the better half: motivations for marital choice

Este estudo teve como objetivo compreender as motivações para a escolha do cônjuge, considerando a transgeracionalidade e a busca por similaridades e complementaridades. Participaram da pesquisa cinco casais adultos que se encontravam no semestre anterior ao casamento e que ainda não moravam juntos. Os participantes responderam a entrevistas individuais semiestruturadas e os dados obtidos a partir das entrevistas foram submetidos a uma análise de conteúdo qualitativa. Nos casos estudados, constatou-se tanto a presença de motivações transgeracionais, baseadas nos modelos conjugais parentais, como uma maior busca, no outro, por similaridades do que por complementaridades. Destacou-se tanto a importância dos modelos aprendidos nas famílias de origem como referenciais a serem seguidos ou evitados como a importãncia das ideias e das características comuns em prol de uma convivência mais harmônica. É importante considerar, no entanto, que a escolha constitui um processo complexo no qual interagem diferentes fatores.

The aim of this study wasaimed to understand the motivations behindfor marital choice, by considering transgenerational patterns and the search for similarities and complementarityies. Five adult couples, who were in the semester prior to their wedding and who were not living together, took part in the study. Individual semi-structured interviews were carried out with each participant and the data were submitted to qualitative content analysis. In the cases studied, both the transgenerational patterns, based on the parents' marital models, and the search in one another for similarities in one another rather than complementarityies, could be observed. The importance was highlighted of the models learned from the familiesy of origin as a referencebenchmarks to be sought or to be avoided was confirmed, and as were the similar characteristics that were common towere highlighted by the participants, in the questlooking for a more harmonious coexistence. However, it i's important to noteconsider that marital choice is a complex process, in which a variety ofdifferent factors interact.

Transgeracionalidade: quando crescer não é permitido / Transgenerationality: when growing is not allowed

O presente estudo avaliou as mudanças nos efeitos da transgeracionalidade sobre as relações emocionais na família durante o processo terapêutico, através de um caso clínico. Participou do estudo uma família que buscou atendimento psicológico trazendo por queixa inicial as dificuldades de aprendizagem da filha e o medo que o filho apresentava de ficar sozinho. Foram realizados aproximadamente 22 consultas em um período de cinco meses, quando ocorreram evidentes progressos nos comportamentos das crianças, na relação com a família de origem e na relação conjugal. Os dados foram obtidos através dos relatos dos atendimentos e de duas consultorias com um profissional especializado oferecidas pela clínica. Pôde-se captar o estilo de funcionamento transgeracional e, a partir da atuação terapêutica, tornar consciente esta questão para a família, favorecendo o desenvolvimento de seus membros e amenizando o impacto da transgeracionalidade sobre esta geração.

This study examined the impact of transgenerationality on the emotional relations in the family, through a clinical case. The family participating of the study looking for psychological help bringing as an initial complaint the difficulties of learning of the daughter and the son’s fear of being alone. The family therapy was carried out for five months, with evident progress in behavior of the children, in the relation with the family of origin and in the couple’s relation. Data were got through the reports of therapy sessions and from two counseling sessions with specialized professionals offered by the clinic. The transgenerational functioning style of this family could be detected and treated by making it become a conscious question for the family, promoting the development of its members and diminishing the impact of transgenerationality on this generation. O método Bick de observação de bebês como método de pesquisa / The Bick method of infant observation as a research method

O artigo apresenta uma discussão sobre o potencial do método Bick de observação de bebês como método de pesquisa. Desenvolvemos uma descrição do método desde a sua criação, buscando possíveis aproximações com a clínica e com a pesquisa. Além disso, discutimos os aspectos éticos do método Bick de observação aplicado à pesquisa. O método Bick de observação tem conquistado cada vez mais reconhecimento, sendo aplicado à pesquisa, em função de seu potencial de gerar novas idéias e contribuir com discussões teóricas no âmbito da Psicologia do Desenvolvimento e, sobretudo, da Psicanálise.

The article presents a discussion concerning the potentialities of the Bick method of infant observation as a research method. A description of the method since its creation is presented, and the possible approximations with clinical work and research are highlighted. In addition, the ethical aspects of the Bick method applied to research are discussed. The application of the Bick method to research has achieved increasing recognition due to its potential for generating new ideas and for contributing to theoretical discussions in the area of developmental psychology, and especially in psychoanalysis.
