Adolescentes y delito: un oscuro día de justicia / [Teenagers and crime: a dark day of justice].

The methods of intervention and/or treatment of children/teenagers under 18 years old who are accused or found guilty of crimes are analyzed taking into consideration multidisciplinary intervention tools, especially those including any kind of ’psy’ outpatient care. These programs, which are usually deployed in the social milieu, involve a conflictive junction between the fields of Law and Mental Health. It shall be required to review the different social responses to such children and teenagers and the current state of legal discussions in order to reflect upon the singular inclusion of the therapeutic approach to these complex contexts, where the ’socio-educational’ aspect has occupied a substantial position.

Asistimos en las últimas décadas, aunque con transformaciones y elementos nuevos que los hacen tan complejo como contundente -y objeto de denuncia actual-, al fenómeno llamado de 'patologización y medicalización de la infancia'. Existen publicaciones, congresos, redes-sitios en la web, que se ocupan de la expansión y fuerza de este fenómeno, y sus consecuencias socio-políticas. Pero es nuevo?. Al menos podríamos ubicar su genealogía remitiéndonos al siglo XIX, en especial su segunda parte, y a la llegada del siglo XX. Si de novedad se trata, estamos hablando de algo más de un siglo. Para aportar algunas precisiones al tema desde el punto de vista histórico, volvemos sobre nuestro tema de estudio, esto es, la construcción del campo de intervenciones médico-psicológicas sobre la infancia anormal, la delimitación de las locuras infantiles, sus teorías, sus clasificaciones y sus práticas.

Avatares de la cronicidad: políticas, instituciones, dispositivos y terapeutas / Ups and downs of chronicity: policies, institutions, mechanisms and therapists

Se abordan diferentes vectores que hacen a la problemática de la cronicidad. El individual, del paciente; el sociopolítico; el inherente al lugar del terapeuta, los dispositivos, las instituciones en el abordaje de los pacientes crónicos. Se realiza un recorrido temático y de autores que tiende a repensar la posición del terapeuta (psiquiatra, psicólogo, psicoanalista) ante estos pacientes. Ubicados a veces como inclasificables o refractarios, que -como se ha dicho- en la valoración de los profesionales son intrínsecamente difíciles y poco "gratificantes", nos llevan a considerar los ideales de salud, las expectativas, así como las incomodidades de los modelos de tratamientos y dispositivos institucionales.

Chronicity is approached from several angles: that of the individual patient, the sociopolitical background, the therapist’s role, the institutional framework for the treatment of chronic patients. Relevant themes are discussed and authors visited that contribute to fresh thinking regarding the position of the therapist (psychiatrist, psychologist, psychoanalyst) towards these patients. More often than not, these patients are classified as unclassifiable, or refractory. As it has been said before, this implies that from the professional's viewpoint these patients are intrinsically difficult and "little rewarding". This raises the question of health ideals and expectations, as well as the institutional inconveniences of current models of treatments and institutional devices.
