RESUMO

Objective To explore the expression of zinc finger protein 217 (ZNF217) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and its correlation with prognosis of patients. Methods A total of 120 NSCLC patients in Chongqing Three Gorges Central Hospital from January 2012 to October 2013 were selected. Immunohistochemical method was used to test the expression of ZNF217 in NSCLC tissues and paracancerous tissues. The correlation of ZNF217 expression with patient's clinicopathological features was analyzed. At the same time, the Kaplan-Meier method and Cox regression model multiple factor analysis method were used to explore the factors affecting the prognosis of patients after NSCLC radical operations. Results ZNF217 mainly existed in cell nucleus of NSCLC. The positive expression rate of ZNF217 in the cancer tissues was higher than that in the paracancerous tissues [52.5% (63/120) vs. 20.1% (25/120), χ 2 = 25.909, P < 0.05]. The positive expression rate of ZNF217 increased with the increase of tumor T stage (χ 2 = 7.333, P = 0.026), N stage (χ 2 = 7.782, P = 0.020) and TNM stage (χ 2 = 11.557, P = 0.003). The overall survival (P = 0.007) and progression-free survival (P = 0.004) of patients with positive ZNF217 were poorer than those of patients with negative ZNF217. Cox multiple factor analysis showed that ZNF217 was an independent risk factor affecting the prognosis of NSCLC. Conclusion ZNF217 is an independent risk factor affecting the prognosis of NSCLC, and it may be a potential target for accurate treatment of NSCLC.

RESUMO

Objective To investigate the adiponectin(ADIPOQ)gene polymorphisms and which association with colorectal cancer(CRC).Methods Genotyping of blood samples were performed for 250 case-control pairs.Taqman real-time PCR was used to test the three single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs),namely rs266729,rs2441 766,rs1 501299.Logistic regression was applied to assess the effects of three SNPs,the gene-gene,and gene-environment interactions on CRC risk. Results The ADIPOQ rs266729 GG and CG+GG genotype had a higher CRC risk than those carrying the CC genotype[OR (95%CI ):1.87 (1.01 - 3.47),1.63 (1.14-2.32),respectively].The same results was observed in cases who carried TG+GG genotype vs .TT genotype in rs2441 766 [OR(95%CI ):1.45(1.02-2.06)].The rs1 501299 GT+TT genotype had a lower CRC risk than those carrying the GG genotype [OR(95%CI ):0.61(0.43-0.88)].Furthermore,in two-factor gene-environment interaction analyses,rs266729 presented signifi-cant interactions with Body mass index (BMI),with OR of 1.1 6 (95%CI :1.03-1.30).Conclusion The results suggest that vari-ants in ADIPOQ may contribute to increased colorectal cancer risk and this contribution may be modified by BMI.

RESUMO

Objective To investigate the expression and effect of FOXC2 (forkhead box C2) and Vimentin in gastric carcinoma tissues .Methods To detect the protein expression of FOXC2 and Vimentin in 20 normal gastric tissues and 65 gastric carcinoma tissues with immunochemistry .Results FOXC2 and Vimentin were highly expressed in all gastric carcinoma tissues .In all gastric carcinoma cases ,the FOXC2 expression rate was 41 .53% ,the rate of Vimentin was 35 .38% .The average expression rates of FOXC2 and Vimentin in TNM ( Ⅲ + Ⅳ ) group were significantly higher than those in TNM (Ⅰ + Ⅱ ) group ,respectively (58 .60% vs .27 .78% ,P=0 .012 ;55 .88% vs .29 .03% ,P=0 .018) .The expression rates of FOXC2 and Vimentin in lymph node transfer group were statistically higher than those in no lymph node transfer group (51 .72% vs .22 .22% ,P=0 .013;41 .20% vs . 14 .80% ,P=0 .010) .The correlation between FOXC2 and Vimentin was positive (P= 0 .037) .Conclusion It is possible that FOXC2 and Vimentin are involved in the transformation of epithelial cells into the mesenchymal cells .And they may play an impor-tant role in the metastasis of gastric carcinoma .

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE:To study the effect of comprehensive psychotherapy on psychology of cancer patients received chemotherapy or radiotherapy. METHODS:77 cancer patients received chemotherapy or radiotherapy were divided into two groups. Both groups received routine chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Intervention group(n=40)were additionally given comprehensive psychotherapy,i.e. cognitive therapy, psychological persuasion and relaxation training. Self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)and self-rating depression scale(SDS)were applied to evaluate all patients one week before intervention and one month after comprehensive psychotherapy. RESULTS:SAS and SDS scores of intervention group were significantly lower than that of control group after treatment(P0.05). CONCLUSION:Comprehensive psychotherapy can improve the mental state of patients with can-cer.

RESUMO

Objective:To study acute toxicity of Xidan suspensions in mice. Methods:To measure the LD50 and to observe the response to machinery stimulation and the autonomic activity of the experimental animals when Xidan suspensions is taken orally into the mice. Results:The LD_(50) of Xidan suspensions is 148.08g(crude medicinal materials)/kg in the mice by ig.When it is taken orally(ig)into the mice at the dosage of LD_(50) or more [180g(crude medicinal materials)/kg],it is found that the response to machinery stimulation, the autonomic activity the muscle tone and the regulation of balance ability decreased obviously. Conclusion:It is indicated that Xidan suspensions could be toxic to the nervous system of mice.
