RESUMO

OBJECTIVE@#This article investigated the changes of some biochemical markers and cardiac function in chronic heart failure (CHF), and provided the basis for the diagnosis of CHF.@*METHODS@#New Zealand rabbit CHF model was established using adriamycin (ADR). Twenty New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into model group (=15) and control group (=5), injected with ADR and saline solution the ear vein respectively, 2 times a week, lasting for 8 weeks. After that, myocardial enzymes, carotid artery pressure, echocardiogram (ECG) and phonocardiogram (PCG) of all New Zealand rabbits were detected and recorded.@*RESULTS@#Compared with control group, all parameters of the model group were changed significantly (<0.05).@*CONCLUSIONS@#CHF leads to myocardial damage in New Zealand rabbits, decreased systolic and diastolic function, cardiac reserve index can be used to assess cardiac function.

RESUMO

Objective To study the effects of irbesartan and captopril on left ventricular function and cardiac reserve function of elderly patients with cardiovascular disease .Methods 120 cases of elderly patients with cardio-vascular disease were divided into A group and B group of 60 cases in each group according to the random number table method,A group received irbesartan while B group were given captopril for treatment ,left ventricular end diastolic interventricular septal thickness ( IVSd) ,left ventricular end diastolic diameter ( LVDd) ,left ventricular end diastolic posterior wall thickness ( LVPWd ) , left ventricular ejection fraction ( LVEF ) , mitral early diastolic and peak flow velocity (VE),late diastolic peak flow velocity (VA),left ventricular weight (LVM) in patients of the two groups were measured by ultrasonic cardiogram , The first heart sound amplitude before and after cardiac ( S1 ) , cardiac reserve index ( CCRI) ,cardiac reserve index ( CRI) in the two groups of patients were measured by phonocardiogram exercise test,IVSd,LVEF,VE/VA,LVM,CCRI and CRI of the two groups before and after treatment were compared . Results After the treatment,IVSd,LVM of the two groups were (10.02 ±0.02) mm,(162.3 ±4.2) g and (10.03 ±0.04)mm,(165.3 ±4.5) g,LVEF and VE/VA were (64.8 ±0.9)%,(1.13 ±0.13) and (63.9 ± 1.8)%,(1.14 ±0.05),when compared with before treatment, the difference was statistically significant (t =10.975,10.143,9.875,8.998;10.899,10.123,9.968,8.997,all P<0.05);CCRI and CRI of the two groups after treatment were (6.82 ±0.15),(6.02 ±0.19) and (6.85 ±0.07),(6.09 ±0.08),when compared with before treatment, the difference was statistically significant (t=11.086,10.992;11.029,10.893,all P<0.05).Conclusion Irbesartan and captopril has a good effect in treatment of elderly cardiovascular disease , which can significantly im-prove left ventricular function and cardiac reserve index .

RESUMO

Objective. To devise some indicators for measuring and evaluating the neonatal cardiac reserve by using phonocardiogram test (PCGT). Methods. Two hundred and thirty one (231) full term and one hundred and fifty four (154) preterm infants participated in this study. The amplitude ratio of the first heart sound to the second heart sound (S1/S2), the ratio of diastolic to systolic duration (D/S) and the cardiac contractility change trend after stimulation (CCCTS) of the neonates were measured, calculated and analyzed. Results. The S1/S2, D/S and CCCTS of full preterm infants were higher than that of preterm infants. The differences of D/S and CCCTS between them were significant (P<0.05). According to the full term neonatal cardiac reserve data, a normal reference range of full term neonatal cardiac reserve was primarily known. Conclusions. The indicators S1/S2, D/S and CCCTS may be beneficial for evaluating the neonatal cardiac reserve. We can screen out neonates with reduced cardiac reserve by using the phonocardiogram test.

RESUMO

To find out the method of assessing the car-diac reserve function under the resting condition,we observed the changes of left ventricular con-tractility, relaxation and compliance, as well ascardiac pump function under the resting and over-loaded conditions with intact hearts of male rats invarious states of heart failure induced by variousadriamycin cumulative doses. The results of thepresent study indicated that the degree of my-ocardium injury was aggravated along with the in-crease of adriamycin cumulative doses. Mean-while, all of the parameters of left ventricular con-tractility, relaxation, compliance and cardiac re-serve function decreased significantly. However, the indexes of basic cardiac pump function in-creased to a certain extent because of the influenceof non-cardiac factors. The discriminant analysisshowed that the degree of heart failure assessed bymeans of the discriminant function, or synthesizingthe changes of left ventricular contractility, relax-ation and compliance under the resting condition, was almost consistent with that by means of thecardiac reserve function. In addition, the multipleregression indicated that the contractility, relax-ation and compliance had different effects on thecardiac reserve function, corresponding to the different states of heart failure.
