ABSTRACT
For the first time in East; Central; and Southern Africa; leaders and experts in health met at a landmark conference that helped forge strategies to make results of health contribute to the betterment of the people in the region. The meeting; which brought together health ministers; directors of health services; directors of research institutes; deans and principals of medical schools; donor organizations; non-governmental organizations and media bodies among others; helped identify and formulate action plans that would helped identify and formulate action plans that would help tackle reproductive health problems facing the people in the E.C.S. region by utilizing information generated by research undertaken within the Commonwealth Regional Health Community (CSHC)
