ABSTRACT

AIMS: Identify nursing good practices related to caregivers in three basic health areas of the Valencian Community and analyze the impact of professional experience and the presence of a Nurse Case Manager on nursing good practices. METHOD: Cross-sectional descriptive study. An anonymous, self-administered "ad hoc" questionnaire was used with 10 items: 8 individual and 2 institutional good practices. The independent variables were: work experience and the presence of a Nurse Case Manager. An analytical study was carried out using Chi square, Fisher and Mann-Whitney U tests, assuming p<0.05 as a significant value. RESULTS: 60 participants: 50 women, median age of 36 years and median experience of 4 years. 45 with experience ≥2 years and 23 worked in an environment with Nurse Case Manager. The record of the caregiver was the only individual good practice carried out by more than 56% of the population, with the rest implemented by less than 20%. Pre- or post-pandemic experience did not show significant differences, the presence of Nurse Case Manager only showed differences in knowledge of training workshops and individual good practices were greater among professionals with more experience. CONCLUSIONS: Individual good practices in caring for caregivers have low implementation, with better practices observed among professionals with more experience.

ABSTRACT

Objetivo Analizar las líneas de acción propuestas por los proyectos de promoción de la salud participantes en el proyecto de investigación EvaluAGPS, y su relación con las puntuaciones obtenidas con EvalGuía, una herramienta para evaluar la participación comunitaria basada en la evidencia. Diseño Estudio multicéntrico cuali-cuantitativo. Emplazamiento Proyectos de atención primaria o de red intersectorial de atención primaria y municipalidades de 5 comunidades autónomas en España. Participantes Personas que trabajan en 10 proyectos de promoción de la salud, seleccionados con muestreo intencional según criterios de inclusión (proyectos con un mínimo de participación comunitaria centrados en la salud comunitaria). Método Se recogieron los datos mediante cuestionarios (herramienta EvalGuía) y talleres participativos. Los datos cuantitativos se analizaron con estadística descriptiva, los datos cualitativos se analizaron utilizando el análisis de matriz. Resultados Tras pasar la herramienta EvalGuía, las puntuaciones más bajas estaban en la evaluación de resultados, conocimiento de leyes relacionadas con participación comunitaria, diversidad en el grupo motor, medidas de conciliación, recursos financieros y devolución de resultados. Las líneas de acción planteadas eran heterogéneas y no siempre coinciden con las priorizadas. Las líneas priorizadas giraban en torno a la organización del proyecto y a la comunicación. Conclusiones La herramienta EvalGuía puede ser útil para diseñar planes de acción en proyectos de promoción de la salud. La implementación de medidas en 12 meses para aumentar la diversidad del grupo motor, incorporar medidas de conciliación o mejorar la evaluación es difícil. Se requiere más tiempo para implementar este tipo de medidas. (AU)


Objective To analyse the lines of action identified in the health promotion projects participating in the EvaluA GPS research, and their relationship with the scores assigned in EvalGuia, a tool for evaluating evidence-based community participation. Design Qualitative-quantitative multicentre study. Setting Primary care or intersectoral network of primary care and municipalities in five autonomous communities in Spain. Participants Participants of 10 health promotion projects, selected with convenience sampling, following inclusion criteria (projects with a minimum of community engagement and centred on community health). Method Data were collected through questionnaires (EvalGuía tool) and participatory workshops. Quantitative data were analysed with descriptive statistics, qualitative data were analysed using matrix analysis. Results After implementing the EvalGuide tool, the lowest scores were assigned in outcome evaluation, knowledge of policies related to community participation, diversity in the core working group, inclusivity policies, financial resources and diffusion of results. The lines of action proposed were heterogeneous and did not always match with those prioritised as lower score. The prioritised lines revolved around project organisation and communication. Conclusions The EvalGuide tool can be helpful to design action plans in Health Promotion projects. The implementation of measures in 12 months to increase the diversity of the core working group, to incorporate work–life balance measures or to improve evaluation is difficult. More time is needed to implement such measures. (AU)

ABSTRACT

Objective.To assess the effectiveness of an educational intervention on perceived stress and metabolic syndrome parameters among adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Method. Fifty-one adults (aged 48.73±7.84; 86.3% of women) were included in a non-randomized clinical trial performed in a healthcare unit for six months (Brazilian Clinical Trial Registry: RBR-43K52N). All participants were diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus and metabolic syndrome (intervention group, n=26; control group, n=25). The intervention consisted of a nurse-led educational health-promoting program with a multidisciplinary approach organized in seven workshops. The primary outcome was decreased perceived stress, and the secondary outcome was improvement in metabolic syndrome parameters according to perceived stress levels. These outcomes were assessed at two points in time, at the baseline and follow-up. Results. Participation in the intervention program resulted in a significant decrease in perceived stress (p=0.028). The stressed participants in the intervention group experienced a significant decrease in blood glucose levels (p=0.001) and a significant increase in high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (p=0.003) concentrations after the six-month intervention. Conclusion.The nurse-led educational health-promoting program decreased perceived stress among adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus and metabolic syndrome, improving fasting blood glucose and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol among the stressed participants in the intervention group.


Objetivo. Evaluar la efectividad de una intervención educativa sobre el estrés percibido y los componentes del síndrome metabólico en adultos con diabetes mellitus tipo 2. Métodos. Se incluyeron 51 adultos (48.73±7.84 años; 86.3% mujeres) de un estudio no-ensayo aleatorizado realizado en una unidad de salud durante seis meses, con Registro Brasileño de Ensayos Clínicos: RBR-43K52N, todos los participantes fueron diagnosticados con diabetes mellitus tipo 2 y síndrome metabólico (grupo intervención, n=26; grupo control, n=25). La intervención consistió en un programa educativo de promoción de la salud con enfoque multidisciplinario, liderado por una enfermera, estructurado en siete talleres grupales. El resultado primario fue la reducción del estrés percibido y el secundario, la mejora de los componentes del síndrome metabólico influenciados por el nivel de estrés percibido, evaluado en dos momentos, al inicio y después del seguimiento. Resultados. La participación en el programa de intervención resultó en una reducción significativa del estrés percibido en comparación con el grupo control (p=0.028). Los participantes estresados en el grupo de intervención tuvieron, respectivamente, una disminución y un aumento significativos en las concentraciones séricas de glucosa (p=0.001) y lipoproteínas de alta densidad-colesterol (p=0.003) después de seis meses de intervención. Conclusión. Un programa educativo de promoción de la salud liderado por enfermeras fue eficiente para reducir el estrés percibido entre adultos con diabetes mellitus tipo 2 y síndrome metabólico, además de mejorar la glucemia en ayunas y el colesterol unido a lipoproteínas de alta densidad en los participantes del grupo estresado de intervención.


Objetivo. Avaliar a efetividade de uma intervenção educativa sobre o estresse percebido e os componentes da síndrome metabólica em adultos com diabetes mellitus tipo 2. Métodos. Foram incluídos 51 adultos (48.73±7.84 anos de idade; 86.3% mulheres) em um ensaio clínico não-randomizado realizado em uma unidade de saúde durante seis meses, com Registro de Ensaio Clínico Brasileiro: RBR-43K52N.Todos os participantes apresentavam diagnóstico de diabetes mellitus tipo 2 e síndrome metabólica (grupo intervenção, n=26; grupo controle, n=25). A intervenção consistiu em um programa educativo de promoção da saúde com abordagem multidisciplinar, liderado por enfermeiro, estruturado em sete oficinas em grupo. O desfecho primário foi a redução do estresse percebido, e o secundário, a melhora dos componentes da síndrome metabólica conforme influência do nível de estresse percebido, avaliados em dois momentos, na condição basal e após o acompanhamento. Resultados. A participação no programa de intervenção resultou na redução significativa do estresse percebido em comparação com o grupo controle (p=0.028). Os participantes estressados do grupo intervenção tiveram, respectivamente, diminuição e aumento significativos das concentrações séricas de glicose (p=0.001) e da lipoproteína-colesterol de alta densidade (p=0.003) após seis meses de intervenção. Conclusão. Um programa educativo de promoção da saúde liderado por enfermeiros foi eficiente para reduzir estresse percebido entre adultos com diabetes mellitus tipo 2 e síndrome metabólica, além de causar melhora da glicemia de jejum e e da lipoproteína-colesterol de alta densidade dos participantes estressados do grupo intervenção.

ABSTRACT

AIM: Evaluate the effectiveness of an intervention to incorporate group and community activities on a sustained basis in all the Basic Health Zones (ZBS) of a health area. DESIGN: During January and February 2019, two members of the research team traveled to each ZBS to interview the medical and nursing coordinators who had previously received an ad hoc initial assessment questionnaire (QAI) by email. PLACE: The scope is the 11 ZBS of a health area. PARTICIPANTS: The study population is the ZBS and the respective teams represented by the medical and nursing coordinations. INTERVENTIONS: Promote a community health commission, carry out training actions, record activities in clinical history and incorporate management objectives. MAIN MEASUREMENTS: Quantitative and qualitative analysis was carried out pre and post after the first year of intervention. RESULTS: In the pre-evaluation: 6 primary care teams (EAP) reported having group activities, 4 were participating in local action projects, 4 had a professional referent for community activities, 3 participated in projects with populations in vulnerable situations and 4 stated have specific meetings on community health. After the intervention: 11 EAPs had group activities, 8 had a reference professional, 6 were participating in local action projects, 4 collaborated in projects with vulnerable populations and 5 held meetings on community health. CONCLUSIONS: The intervention proved effective after its first year of implementation, since all the EAPs carried out group activities and collaborated with the local councils in the area; the majority had leading professionals in community care and, to a lesser extent, participation in local action projects and in vulnerable populations increased.

ABSTRACT

Las escuelas de salud son proyectos comunitarios con un bagaje y una evidencia científica ya conocidos y demostrados. Su influencia en la mejora de la calidad de vida de las persones mayores con soledad no deseada es uno de sus grandes beneficios. Por este motivo, como equipo de Atención Primaria apostamos por ella. El objetivo principal de la escuela es promover el envejecimiento activo y mejorar el estado de salud percibido por las persones mayores de 60 años participantes. Las escuelas de salud son espacios sanadores. Su repercusión es bidireccional, ya que influye en todas las personas que participan, mejorando su calidad de vida y dotándolas de herramientas útiles y sencillas para su día a día a través de los conocimientos adquiridos y las experiencias compartidas. Generar puntos de encuentro en el barrio enriquece y aporta salud más allá de los centros sanitarios. Salir a la calle, hablar de igual a igual, fomentar las redes de apoyo y vincularse a una red, son elementos que fortalecen y mejoran la vertiente social de las personas, ayudándolas a curar heridas de vida. Apostar por la salud comunitaria, es apostar por la salud en todas sus dimensiones. (AU)


Health schools are community projects with a well-known and proven scientific past and background. Their influence in improving the quality of life for elderly individuals experiencing unwanted loneliness is one of their significant benefits. That's why we, as a primary health care team, decided to support it. The main aim of the school is to promote active aging and enhance the perceived health status of participants aged over 60. Health schools are healing spaces. Their impact is bidirectional, which has an impact on all participants. Our quality of life improves as we share knowledge and experiences, providing us with healing, useful and straightforward tools for our daily lives. Creating meeting points in the neighbourhood enriches us and contributes to our well-being beyond healthcare centres. Going out into the community, having peer to peer conversations, fostering support networks, and connecting with others sustain us and make us socially stronger, healing life's wounds. To take a chance on the community is in essence to bet on health in all its dimensions. (AU)

El aprendizaje y la salud son dos elementos vinculados entre sí. El hecho de cuidar de la salud requiere del aprendizaje de conocimientos, habilidades, comportamientos y actitudes que se desarrollan a lo largo de nuestra vida. Los aprendizajes relacionados con la salud comportan estilos de vida más saludables, la mejora del bienestar, la calidad de vida y la salud de la comunidad. El aprendizaje significativo transforma las vidas, abriendo nuevas oportunidades, posibilitando nuevas competencias y formando nuevas redes sociales. Este artículo pretende reflexionar sobre la relación entre elementos de la alfabetización en salud y el proceso de aprendizaje significativo. (AU)


Learning and health are both interrelated aspects. The act of looking after health requires learning knowledge, skills, behaviors, and attitudes that develop throughout our lives. Health-related learning leads to healthier lifestyles, improved well-being, better quality of life and community health. Significant learning transforms lives, paving the way towards new opportunities, enabling new skills and forming new social networks. This paper aims to reflect on the relationship between aspects of health literacy and the meaningful learning process. (AU)

ABSTRACT

Introducción. La salud comunitaria basada en activos es un modelo donde se promociona la salud con políticas y entornos que favorecen que las personas puedan tomar decisiones sobre su salud. El mapeo de activos es el mejor método para conocer los activos. En Aragón existe la estrategia comunitaria que favorece la implantación y el conocimiento de estos conceptos poco conocidos por la población y por los profesionales sanitarios. Objetivos. El objetivo principal fue la búsqueda e identificación de los activos de salud disponibles tras el proceso de mapeo por parte de la ciudadanía de 5 distritos urbanos de Zaragoza durante 1 año. Desarrollar un blog donde profesionales de la educación y de la sanidad, y la ciudadanía puedan acceder al mapa de activos. Métodos. Estudio descriptivo sobre la identificación y recogida de activos identificados por la población pertenecientes a un centro de salud. Las técnicas participativas utilizadas en el grupo de activos fueron mapas mudos y registro mediante fichas. Resultados. Se identificaron 57 activos, fundamentalmente el 28% relacionados con la actividad física. Las actividades de cultura y ocio, y las relacionadas con enfermedades crónicas fueron las siguientes más frecuentes. No se encontró ningún recurso para la deshabituación de tóxicos. El 47% de los activos se encontraban en uno de los 5 distritos adscritos. Conclusiones. Realizar un mapa de activos es fundamental para la prevención y la promoción de la salud. La colaboración ciudadana resulta clave para hacer este proceso con éxito, ofreciéndonos a las/los profesionales de la sanidad una información valiosa para fomentar y llevar a cabo una verdadera atención comunitaria. Introduction. Asset-based community health is a model where health is promoted with policies and settings that encourage people to make health-related decisions. Health assets is the best method to get to know the assets. In Aragon there is a community strategy that promotes the implementation and knowledge of these concepts unknown both by the population and health professionals. Aims. The main aim of the study was to search and identify health assets available after the mapping process by the citizens of five Zaragoza urban districts over one year. Moreover, to start a blog where educators, health workers and citizens can access the assets map. Methods. Descriptive study on the identification and collection of assets identified by the population belonging to an urban health centre in Zaragoza. The participatory techniques used in the assets group were blank maps and recording by means of cards. Results. A total of 57 assets were identified, most of which related to physical activity (28%). This was followed by cultural, leisure activities and chronic diseases. No resource was detected for the cessation of toxic substances; 47% of assets were located in one of the five affiliated districts. Conclusions. Drawing up an assets map is essential for correct prevention and health promotion. Neighbourhood citizen collaboration is key to performing this process successfully. This also offers health professionals valuable information to promote and carry out actual community care. (AU)

Objetivo: Evaluar la efectividad de una intervención grupal basada en mindfulness en pacientes con ansiedad y depresión atendidos en un centro de salud mental comunitario. Secundariamente, valorar la calidad de vida y la adherencia a la intervención. Método: Estudio cuasi experimental con evaluaciones pre y postintervención llevado a cabo entre marzo de 2015 y diciembre de 2019 en personas mayores de 18 años atendidas en el Centro de Salud Mental de Adultos (CSMA) de Les Corts, Barcelona. Como criterios de inclusión se tomaron en cuenta: 1) sintomatología de ansiedad (Escala de Ansiedad de Hamilton [HARS] > 10 puntos) y 2) firma de consentimiento informado. Las variables recogidas fueron 1) ansiedad, 2) depresión (Inventario de Depresión de Beck [BDI]), 3) calidad de vida (EuroQoL [EQ-5D]) y 4) adherencia a la intervención. La intervención fue de nueve sesiones semanales de 75 min y fue realizada por dos enfermeras. Cada grupo estaba formado por 10-15 pacientes. Resultados: Un total de 128 usuarios fueron incluidos, de los cuales 103 eran mujeres con una edad media de 52,23 (desviación estándar [DE] 12,78). Al comparar medidas pre y post, se observaron mejoras en relación con la sintomatología ansiosa, depresiva y la calidad de vida general (p<0,001) y sus dimensiones de ansiedad-depresión (EQ-5D) (p=0,003). La media de sesiones asistidas fue de 6,17 (DE 2,31) y estaban correlacionadas de forma estadísticamente significativa y positiva con una mejora de la sintomatología ansiosa (p<0,001) y depresiva (p=0,021). No se observaron diferencias entre grupos de edad. Conclusiones: La intervención grupal basada en mindfulness mejora la sintomatología ansiosa y depresiva, así como la calidad de vida. Esto se asocia con una mayor adherencia a la intervención.(AU)

RESUMEN Las mujeres consumidoras de drogas se enfrentan a grandes desafíos en el acceso y la adherencia al tratamiento ambulatorio. Sin embargo, esta cuestión ha sido poco estudiada. El objetivo del estudio es comprender las experiencias de un grupo de mujeres en tratamiento por consumo de drogas. Entre marzo y diciembre de 2021, se realizó un estudio cualitativo fenomenológico interpretativo mediante entrevistas semiestructuradas a 16 mujeres usuarias de un centro de atención a las drogodependencias de Cataluña (España). Los datos se procesaron mediante el análisis de contenido. Los resultados indican que las mujeres, pese a percibir un impacto positivo del tratamiento, viven realidades de vulnerabilidad relacionadas con la estigmatización, la falta de apoyo social y una baja cobertura de necesidades específicas con implicaciones en el seguimiento terapéutico. Los hallazgos enfatizan la necesidad de mejorar los recursos para una atención especializada y promover una red de apoyo social donde participen activamente las mujeres consumidoras de drogas.


ABSTRACT Women drug-users face significant challenges in accessing and adhering to outpatient treatment. However, this issue has been underexplored. The study aims to understand the experiences of a group of women undergoing drug use treatment. Between March and December 2021, a qualitative phenomenological interpretative study was carried out through semi-structured interviews with 16 women attending a drug-dependence care center in Catalonia, Spain. Data were processed through content analysis. The results indicate that, despite perceiving a positive impact of the treatment, women experience vulnerabilities related to stigmatization, lack of social support, and insufficient coverage of specific needs, impacting therapeutic follow-up. The findings emphasize the need to enhance resources for specialized care and promote a social support network where women drug-users actively participate.

ABSTRACT Objective: to analyze the prevalence and factors associated with depressive symptoms in pregnant women attended in primary healthcare. Method: this is an epidemiological, cross-sectional and analytical study conducted in Montes Claros, in the north of the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. The dependent variable (depressive symptoms) and independent variables (sociodemographic characteristics, social support, obstetric characteristics, sexuality and health conditions) were collected through a questionnaire and validated scales. The collection took place between October 2018 and November 2019. Descriptive, bivariate and multiple analyzes were performed through multinomial logistics regression. Results: a sample of 1,279 pregnant women was evaluated. The estimated prevalence of moderate and serious depressive symptoms was 16.2% and 25.2%, respectively. Low social support (p<0.001), low sexual performance (p = 0.002) and a high level of perceived stress (p<0.001) were factors associated with moderate depressive symptoms. First gestational trimester (p = 0.006), low social support (p<0.001), low sexual performance (p<0.001) and a high level of perceived stress (p<0.001) were factors associated with serious depressive symptoms. Conclusion: the prevalence of moderate and serious depressive symptoms in pregnant women attended in primary healthcare was considerable. Factors related to social support, gestational quarter (first quarter), sexuality and perceived stress showed association with these symptoms. Caution and the promotion of mental health is necessary for pregnant women in this scenario.


RESUMEN Objetivo: analizar la prevalencia y factores asociados a síntomas depresivos en gestantes atendidas en Atención Primaria de Salud. Método: se trata de un estudio epidemiológico, transversal y analítico, realizado en Montes Claros, norte del estado de Minas Gerais - Brasil. La variable dependiente (síntomas depresivos) y las variables independientes (características sociodemográficas, apoyo social, características obstétricas, sexualidad y condiciones de salud) se recogieron mediante un cuestionario y escalas validadas. La recolección se realizó entre octubre de 2018 y noviembre de 2019. Se realizaron análisis descriptivos, bivariados y múltiples mediante Regresión Logística Multinomial. Resultados: se evaluó una muestra de 1279 gestantes. Las prevalencias estimadas de síntomas depresivos moderados y graves fueron del 16,2% y el 25,2%, respectivamente. El bajo apoyo social (p<0,001), el bajo rendimiento sexual (p=0,002) y el alto nivel de estrés percibido (p<0,001) fueron factores asociados con síntomas depresivos moderados. El primer trimestre del embarazo (p=0,006), el bajo apoyo social (p<0,001), el bajo rendimiento sexual (p<0,001) y el alto nivel de estrés percibido (p<0,001) fueron factores asociados con síntomas depresivos severos. Conclusión: la prevalencia de síntomas depresivos moderados y graves en gestantes atendidas en Atención Primaria de Salud fue considerable. Factores relacionados con el apoyo social, el trimestre gestacional (primer trimestre), la sexualidad y el estrés percibido se asociaron con estos síntomas. En este escenario, es necesaria una mayor atención a las mujeres embarazadas y la promoción de la salud mental.

Comprender los aportes que desde los diferentes actores sociales e institucionales se pueden generar alrededor de la respuesta al VIH. Se desarrolló una investigación cualitativa, empleándose como técnica de investigación la entrevista semiestructurada. Se realizaron 15 entrevistas, donde se identificaron cuatro áreas fundamentales para el trabajo en VIH, a saber: educación, promoción y prevención combinada del VIH; diagnóstico temprano y atención integral del VIH; participación social y comunitaria en la respuesta al VIH y disminución del estigma y la discriminación frente al VIH. Se evidenciaron algunas barreras que tienen los ciudadanos para acceder a determinados servicios y las limitaciones que existen en la implementación de proyectos de salud sexual en el municipio, debido a la falta de articulación entre los actores sociales y la administración municipal, lo que restringe el impacto de los programas de VIH.(AU)

To understand the contributions that can be generated from the different social and institutional actors around the response to HIV. A qualitative research was developed, using a semi-structured interview as a research technique. Fifteen interviews were conducted, where four fundamental areas for HIV work were identified, namely: education, promotion and combined HIV prevention; early diagnosis and comprehensive HIV care; social and community participation in the response to HIV; and reduction of HIV stigma and discrimination. Some barriers that citizens have to access certain services and the limitations that exist in the implementation of sexual health projects in the municipality were evidenced, due to the lack of articulation between social actors and the municipal administration, which restricts the impact of HIV programs.(AU)

ABSTRACT

Introducción: el pregrado en instrumentación quirúrgica (IQ) de la Universidad de Antioquia (Colombia) concibe las prácticas académicas como un componente fundamental en la formación de los estudiantes; estas incluyen actividades como talleres experimentales, observación dirigida y asistencia en áreas quirúrgicas. La emergencia sanitaria desatada por la pandemia del COVID-19 disminuyó en forma drástica las oportunidades de práctica asistencial en instituciones de salud. Material y método: se posibilitó la participación de los estudiantes de IQ en un entorno formativo nuevo para la realización de prácticas, en el LivingLab Telesalud de la facultad de medicina de la Universidad de Antioquia con atención en la línea telefónica 123. Objetivo: de comprender esta experiencia de los estudiantes de IQ en la atención de la pandemia por COVID-19, se realizó una investigación con enfoque cualitativo que consideró la consulta a fuentes vivas y documentales. Resultados y conclusiones: los resultados indican que la práctica favoreció la formación integral del futuro instrumentador quirúrgico, asunto que se soporta en la identificación de dimensiones pedagógicas, curriculares y didácticas que tuvieron lugar en la experiencia; también se evidenciaron algunas oportunidades de mejora que pueden considerarse para futuros procesos formativos.


Introduction: the undergraduate surgical instrumentation (SI) program at Universidad de Antioquia (Colombia) defines academic practices as a fundamental component of training students, by means of activities such as experimental workshops, guided observation and surgical assistance. The health emergency unleashed by the COVID-19 pandemic drastically reduced the opportunities for clinical practice in healthcare institutions. Materials and methods: the participation of SI students was made possible in a new training practice environment using the Telesalud LivingLab of Universidad de Antioquia School of Medicine, through phone number 123. Objetive: a qualitative approach research was carried out to understand this experience in SI students, by consulting live and documentary sources. Results and conclusions: the results indicate that this practice modality favored the comprehensive training of the future surgical technologist. The latter is supported by pedagogical, curricular and didactic dimensions that took place during the experience. Several improvement opportunities, which can be useful in future training processes, were also evidenced.

ABSTRACT Objective: to analyze the contributions of a specialization course in qualifying nurses for the prevention and care of individuals with overweight and obesity. Method: an evaluative research employing a mixed-methods approach, incorporating both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, conducted with 289 nurses enrolled in a distance specialization course focusing on the care of individuals with overweight and obesity. Pre-course (2021) and post-course (2022) questionnaires were administered to assess the outcomes of the training regarding knowledge, practices, and perceptions related to the topic, with results being compared between the two time points. The statistical Mann-Whitney test was applied to compare the means. For qualitative data analysis, content analysis was employed. Results: the majority of participants were female, aged between 30 and 39 years, working in Primary Health Care (PHC), and with a status of statutory civil servants. When comparing the means obtained pre and post-course, the majority showed a statistically significant increase, indicating enhanced knowledge regarding the topic, improved qualification in food and nutritional surveillance practices, individual and collective approach, intersectoral interventions, and implementation of the care pathway. There was an improvement in the perception regarding the adequacy of both individual and team fitness in the care, prevention, and control of overweight and obesity. Conclusion: the specialization course contributed to enhancing nurses' performance in the care of individuals with overweight in primary care settings. There was an acquisition of knowledge, sensitization, and broadening of perspectives regarding disease management. The nurses were equipped with the necessary tools for food and nutritional surveillance practice, utilization of health information systems, and implementation of individual, collective, and intersectoral activities.


RESUMEN Objetivo: analizar los aportes de un curso de especialización en la calificación de los enfermeros con fines preventivos y para la atención de personas con sobrepeso y obesidad. Método: investigación evaluativa con enfoque cualitativo y cuantitativo, realizada con 289 enfermeros que asistieron a un curso de especialización a distancia para la atención de personas con sobrepeso y obesidad. Se aplicaron cuestionarios antes (2021) y después (2022) del curso sobre los resultados de la capacitación acerca de los conocimientos, las prácticas y las percepciones sobre la temática, además de contrastarse los resultados. Para comparar los valores medios se aplicó la prueba estadística de Mann Whitney. Para analizar los datos cualitativos se aplicó análisis de contenido. Resultados: hubo predominio de participantes del sexo femenino, de entre 30 y 39 años de edad, activos en APS y con vínculos laborales estatutarios. Al comparar los valores medios obtenidos antes y después del curso, la mayoría presentó un aumento estadísticamente significativo, representando una mejora en el conocimiento acerca del tema, de la calificación de las prácticas de vigilancia alimentaria y nutricional, del enfoque individual, colectivo e intersectorial y de la implementación de la línea de cuidado. Se registró una mayor percepción sobre la aptitud propia y del equipo, tanto en la atención y la prevención del sobrepeso y la obesidad como en su control. Conclusión: el curso de especialización contribuyó a perfeccionar el accionar de los enfermeros en la atención provista a personas con exceso de peso en el nivel de Atención Primaria de la Salud. Los participantes adquirieron conocimientos, se sensibilizaron con respecto al tema y expandieron su perspectiva sobre cómo abordar la enfermedad. Se equipó a los enfermeros para que pongan en práctica la vigilancia alimentaria y nutricional, utilicen los sistemas de información en salud y realicen actividades individuales, colectivas e intersectoriales.

Método: pesquisa avaliativa, de abordagem qualitativa e quantitativa, realizada com 289 enfermeiros de curso de especialização à distância para atenção de pessoas com sobrepeso e obesidade. Foram aplicados questionários pré-curso (2021) e pós-curso (2022) sobre os resultados da formação acerca dos conhecimentos, das práticas e das percepções sobre a temática, e comparados os resultados. Para comparação das médias foi aplicado teste estatístico de Mann Whitney. Para análise de dados qualitativos, aplicou-se a análise de conteúdo. Resultados: predominaram participantes do sexo feminino, com idade entre 30 e 39 anos, atuantes na APS e com vínculo de servidor estatutário. Ao comparar as médias obtidas pré e pós-curso, a maioria apresentou aumento com significância estatística, representando aumento do conhecimento acerca do tema, qualificação das práticas de vigilância alimentar e nutricional, da abordagem individual, coletiva, intersetorial e da implementação da linha de cuidado. Houve melhoria na percepção sobre a aptidão própria e da equipe, no cuidado, na prevenção e no controle do sobrepeso e da obesidade. Conclusão: o curso de especialização contribuiu para atuação dos enfermeiros no cuidado de pessoas com excesso de peso na atenção primária. Houve aquisição de conhecimento, sensibilização e ampliação do olhar sobre a abordagem da doença. Os enfermeiros foram instrumentalizados para prática de vigilância alimentar e nutricional, uso dos sistemas de informação em saúde, realização de atividades individuais, coletivas e intersetoriais.

ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT The aim is to conduct theoretical reflection on the inseparability among public health, planetary health and the nursing process in light of complexity thinking, with the aim of contributing to healthy and sustainable development. Study with a theoretical-reflexive approach that accessed bibliographical sources from contemporary authors who defend the inseparability between public health and planetary health and, at the same time, provide theoretical-systemic support to the nursing process, under an inductive critical bias. The nursing process is conceived as a complex phenomenon, which comprises interdependent dynamics, dialogical approaches, critical-reflective perception and prospective leadership. Theoretical reflection on the nursing process and sustainable development raises an expanded, contextualized and interdependent look at the role of nursing professionals in different health contexts, in order not to compromise well-being and environmental health.


RESUMEN El objetivo es realizar una reflexión teórica sobre la inseparabilidad entre la salud pública, la salud planetaria y el proceso de enfermería a la luz del pensamiento de la complejidad, para contribuir con el desarrollo saludable y sostenible. Se trata de un estudio con enfoque teórico-reflexivo que accedió a fuentes bibliográficas de autores contemporáneos que defienden la inseparabilidad entre la salud pública y la salud planetaria y, al mismo tiempo, otorgan apoyo teórico-sistémico al proceso de enfermería, bajo un sesgo inductivo crítico. El proceso de enfermería se concibe como un fenómeno complejo, compuesto por dinámicas interdependientes, enfoques dialógicos, percepción crítico-reflexiva y liderazgo prospectivo. La reflexión teórica sobre el proceso de enfermería y el desarrollo sostenible suscita una mirada ampliada, contextualizada e interdependiente sobre la actuación profesional de enfermería en los diversos contextos de salud, con el fin de no comprometer el bienestar y la salud ambiental.


RESUMO Objetiva-se conduzir reflexão teórica sobre a indissociabilidade entre saúde pública, saúde planetária e processo de enfermagem à luz do pensamento da complexidade, no intuito de contribuir para o desenvolvimento saudável e sustentável. Estudo de abordagem teórico-reflexiva que acessou fontes bibliográficas de autores contemporâneos que defendem a indissociabilidade entre saúde pública e saúde planetária e, paralelamente, conferem sustentação teórico-sistêmica ao processo de enfermagem, sob um viés crítico indutivo. Concebe-se o processo de enfermagem como fenômeno complexo, que compreende uma dinâmica interdependente, abordagens dialógicas, percepção crítico-reflexiva e liderança prospectiva. A reflexão teórica acerca do processo de enfermagem e o desenvolvimento sustentável suscita um olhar ampliado, contextualizado e interdependente sobre a atuação do profissional de enfermagem nos diversos contextos da saúde, a fim de não comprometer o bem-estar e a saúde ambiental.

RESUMEN Reconstruimos la trayectoria de vida de la enfermera y militante popular argentina Irma Carrica, entendida como una experiencia político-profesional ligada a sus redes de sociabilidad y atravesada por conflictos y contradicciones inherentes a su contexto histórico. Desde ese recorte analítico y teniendo en cuenta los recaudos sugeridos por el método biográfico de las ciencias sociales, nos adentramos en los debates político-sanitarios de las décadas de 1960 y 1970, principalmente en lo relativo a las disputas por el sentido de la "comunidad" en el campo de la salud. En particular, nos enfocamos en las contribuciones de un actor histórico colectivo -heterogéneo y plural, pero identificable en sus distintas modulaciones- que hemos denominado izquierda peronista en salud. Al analizar sus redes profesionales e intelectuales, hicimos hincapié en el rol que desempeñó Irma Carrica como referente de esa izquierda peronista en salud, a la hora de construir dinámicas alternativas para el abordaje comunitario en salud, que pusieron en tela de juicio los paradigmas epistemológicos y pedagógicos dominantes.


ABSTRACT We reconstruct the life path of the Argentine nurse and popular activist Irma Carrica, understood as a political-professional experience tied to her social networks and marked by conflicts and contradictions inherent to her historical context. From this analytical perspective and considering the precautions suggested by the biographical method of social sciences, we delve into the political and health debates of the 1960s and 1970s, particularly concerning disputes over the meaning of "community" in the health field. Specifically, we focus on the contributions of a collective historical actor - heterogeneous and plural, yet identifiable in its various forms - that we have termed the Peronist Left in health. By analyzing their professional and intellectual networks, we emphasize the role played by Irma Carrica as a representative of this Peronist Left in health, in constructing alternative dynamics for community health approaches, which challenged the dominant epistemological and pedagogical paradigms.

OBJECTIVE: To describe how a sample of people working in community health promotion projects perceive and implement community engagement approaches. METHOD: Mixed qualitative-quantitative study. Data was collected through: semi-structured interviews with 10 people representing the projects, and workshops in which 53 people participated and responded to a questionnaire prepared ad hoc to identify levels of community engagement. Descriptive statistical analysis of the questionnaires and framework analysis of the interviews, observations and workshops recordings. RESULTS: Although the projects are described as highly participatory, community engagement appeared mainly in the form of attending events, with few examples of consultation or community involvement. CONCLUSIONS: This difference may be due to the lack of a culture of participation, both in individuals and institutions, and lack of training in community engagement. It is proposed to change the language from participation-attendance to using expressions such as consulting or involving people.

En el presente artículo compartimos los avances de la investigación que estamos impulsando en la Universidad Nacional de Quilmes, desde el proyecto de Emprendimientos sociales y salud comunitaria. En el objetivo general, nos propusimos estudiar en profundidad las transformaciones subjetivas que ocurren en el marco de las experiencias de cooperación social, con el fin de identificar y comprender los elementos que condicionan su expansión, así como aquellos tendientes al fortalecimiento del campo de la Economía Social y Solidaria (ESS). En ese sentido, abordamos la temática de la cooperación social entendiendo que la misma a través de experiencias socio-económicas favorece el acceso a los derechos - trabajo, educación y salud- de las personas en situación de vulnerabilidad. Del amplio campo de la cooperación social nos focalizamos más puntualmente en el estudio de las empresas sociales, es decir, esas organizaciones asociativas que realizan una actividad económica regular de producción de bienes o prestación de servicios con una definida finalidad social para la comunidad y la integración social de las personas, particularmente de los grupos socialmente vulnerables y vulnerados.Entre las reflexiones finales que venimos construyendo destacamos que entre los testimonios de les emprendedores, lo colectivo surge como estructurante de la organización, en tal sentido es acto participativo, es nosotres, horizontalidad y confianza. Ese nosotres es inclusivo y diverso. Se considera saludable ya que da marco a lo que se construye y a su vez oficia como un espacio simbólico productor de procesos identificatorios de les emprendedores con la organización.


Neste artigo queremos compartilhar o andamento da pesquisa que estamos realizando na Universidade Nacional de Quilmes, a partir do projeto Empreendedorismo Social e Saúde Comunitária. No objetivo geral deste projeto, nos propusemos a estudar em profundidade as transformações subjetivas que ocorrem no âmbito das experiências de cooperação social, a fim de identificar e compreender os elementos que condicionam sua expansão, bem como aqueles que tendem a fortalecer o campo da Economia Social e Solidária (ESS). Nesse sentido, abordamos a questão da cooperação social, entendendo que ela, por meio de experiências socioeconômicas, favorece o acesso a direitos - trabalho, educação e saúde - de pessoas em situação de vulnerabilidade. Do amplo campo da cooperação social, focamos mais especificamente no estudo do que se convencionou chamar de empresas sociais, ou seja, aquelas organizações associativas que desenvolvem uma atividade econômica regular de produção de bens ou prestação de serviços com finalidade social definida comunidade e a integração social das pessoas, em particular dos grupos socialmente vulneráveis e vulneráveis. Dentre as reflexões finais que fomos construindo, nos interessa destacar que dentre os depoimentos dos empreendedores, o coletivo surge como estruturante da organização, nesse sentido é um ato participativo, somos nós, horizontalidade e confiança. Que somos inclusivos e diversos. É considerado salutar por fornecer um arcabouço para o que é construído e, por sua vez, atuar como um espaço simbólico que produz processos de identificação dos empreendedores com a organização.


In this article we want to share the progress of the research that we are carrying out at the National University of Quilmes, from the Social Entrepreneurship and Community Health project. In the general objective of this project, we proposed to study in depth the subjective transformations that occur within the framework of social cooperation experiences, in order to identify and understand the elements that condition its expansion, as well as those tending to strengthen the field of the Social and Solidarity Economy (ESS). In this sense, we address the issue of social cooperation, understanding that it through socio-economic experiences favors access to rights - work, education and health - of people in vulnerable situations. From the broad field of social cooperation, we focus more specifically on the study of social enterprises, that is, those associative organizations that carry out a regular economic activity of producing goods or providing services with a defined social purpose, for the community and the social integration of people, particularly of socially vulnerable and vulnerable groups. Among the final reflections that we have been building, we are interested in highlighting that among the testimonies of the entrepreneurs, the collective emerges as a structuring of the organization, in this sense it is a participatory act, it is us, horizontality and trust. We are inclusive and diverse. It is considered healthy since it provides a framework for what is built and, in turn, acts as a symbolic space that produces identification processes of the entrepreneurs with the organization.

ABSTRACT

Fundamento: El panorama económico y epidemiológico ha repercutido en la salud bucal de las comunidades rurales. Objetivo: Describir el estado de salud bucal, así como identificar factores de riesgo en 16 campesinos de la comunidad rural La Picadora. Metodología: En 2022 se realizó un estudio transversal descriptivo en 16 campesinos de la comunidad rural La Picadora, Yaguajay, Sancti Spíritus. Se hicieron entrevistas y examen bucal. Se calcularon indicadores epidemiológicos estomatológicos en el SPSS 16 y se resumieron los factores de riesgo mediante estadística descriptiva. Resultados: El índice de COP-D fue de 10.7 con predominio de dientes perdidos, el índice gingival fue de 1.4 y el de placa bacteriana de 1.0. Fue frecuente el desgaste de incipiente a moderado en menores de 60 años y de moderado a severo en mayores de 60 años. El 75 % de la muestra presentó oclusión normal o maloclusión mínima y el 94 % necesitó rehabilitación protésica. El 81.2 % consumió bebidas alcohólicas en los últimos 30 días, el 62.5 % ha fumado o fuma actualmente, el 87.5 % refirió el cepillado diario menor de 3 veces y el 43.8 % no asistió al estomatólogo en los últimos 10 años. Conclusiones: Se identificó la necesidad de atención estomatológica, así como la urgencia de acciones de prevención y promoción en esta comunidad.


Background: The economic and epidemiological panorama has impacted on oral health in rural communities. Objective: To describe the oral health status, as well as to identify risk factors in 16 farmers from the La Picadora rural community. Methodology: In 2022, a descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted in 16 farmers in the La Picadora rural community, Yaguajay, Sancti Spíritus. Interviews and oral examination were performed. Stomatological epidemiological indicators in SPSS 16 were calculated and risk factors were summarized using descriptive statistics. Results: The COP-D index was 10.7 with a predominance of missing teeth, The COP-D index was 10.7 with a predominance of missing teeth, the gingival index was 1.4 and the bacterial plaque index was 1.0. Incipient to moderate wear was frequent in people under 60 years of age and moderate to severe in over 60 years of age. 75% of the sample presented normal occlusion or minimal malocclusion and 94% required prosthetic rehabilitation. 81.2% consumed alcoholic beverages in the last 30 days, 62.5% have smoked or currently smokes, 87.5% referred the daily brushing less than 3 times a day and 43.8% did not attend a stomatologist in the last 10 years. Conclusions: The need for stomatological attention, was identified, as well as the urgency for prevention and promotion actions in this community.
