ABSTRACT

Objective: To explore the sound insulation, sound absorption and other noise reduction transformation methods in a noise workshop handover control room. Methods: In December 2021, through the occupational health investigation and on-site testing of the handover control room of a noise workshop, the causes of excessive noise were analyzed, and the transformation design scheme to reduce noise was proposed and the effect was analyzed. Results: Before the transformation, the peak frequency band noise intensity of the noise workshop handover control room was 112.8 dB (A), and the peak frequency was 1000 Hz. After noise reduction, the theoretical calculated control value was 61.0 dB (A), and the measured noise intensity was 59.8 dB (A) . Conclusion: The noise intensity of the handover control room is reduced after noise reduction, which is in line with the contact limit requirements of the control room in GBZ 1-2010 "Hygienic Standards for the Design of Industrial Enterprises", and has reference significance for noise control engineering.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate the effects of compound insulation measure in operation room on hypothermia of cesarean section of very low birth weight infant (VLBWI).Methods:A total of 96 VLBWI, who were born with cesarean section in the People`s Hospital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region from January 2018 to October 2020 and admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit were enrolled in the present study. They were assigned to observation group and control group according to the enrolled time, each group was 48 cases. The control group received routine protocol, the observation group implemented the compound insulation measures. The body temperature, heart rate, blood oxygen saturation (SpO 2), end tidal carbon dioxide partial pressure (P ETCO 2) were measured at birth, 10 min after birth and before entering the transfer incubator. The incidence of hypothermia, hypoglycemia and hypoxemia in premature infants were compared between the two groups. Results:At 10 min after birth and before entering the transfer incubator, the body temperature, SpO 2, P ETCO 2 were (36.58 ± 0.49) ℃, 0.95 ± 0.02, (37.17 ± 3.15) mmHg (1 mmHg =0.133 kPa) and (36.50 ± 0.55) ℃, 0.94 ± 0.02, (38.08 ± 3.85) mmHg in the observation group, which were significantly higher than those in the control group (36.27 ± 0.57) ℃, 0.93 ± 0.02, (35.85 ± 3.14) mmHg and (35.75 ± 0.48) ℃, 0.93 ± 0.01, (36.63 ± 3.17) mmHg, the differences were statistically significant ( t values were 2.03-7.13, all P<0.05). Before entering the transfer incubator, the heart rate was (140.25 ± 8.67) times/min in the observation group, which was significantly lower than that in the control group (145.89 ± 9.23) times/min, the difference was statistically significant ( t value was 3.09, P<0.05). The incidence of hypothermia, hypoglycemia and hypoxemia were 16.7%(8/48), 8.3%(4/48) and 12.5%(6/48) in the observation group, which were significantly lower than those in the control group 37.5%(18/48), 22.9%(11/48) and 29.2%(14/48), the differences were statistically significant ( χ2=5.28, 3.87, 4.04, all P<0.05). Conclusions:Evidence-based operation room compound insulation measure can effectively maintain the constant body temperature in VLBWI, reduce the incidence of hypothermia, hypoglycemia and hypoxemia.

ABSTRACT

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of racial crossing on seminal parameters of eight Santa Inês and crossbred (Santa Inês x Dorper) rams submitted to heat stress, and to monitor the return of these parameters to previously reported. Before to place the insulation bags, two collects of semen through electroejaculation were performed. The insulation pouches were made with double-layer plastic, internally lined with cotton, and fixed around the spermatic funiculus and scrotum with adhesive tape and bandage remaining on the testes of the animals for seven days. The first collect was performed on the day that the pouches were taken (day 0) and thereafter, every seven days, totalizing 15 measurements. Data were submitted to analysis of variance (ANOVA). The analyzed variables were subjected to Dunnett test at 5% probability to compare the values obtained before treatment with those obtained in the following days. In this study it was found that the animals restored normal seminal parameter after the insulation effects, however, the return rate differed slightly among the studied breeds. The crossbred animals restored the seminal patterns, on average, a week before Santa Inês. It is concluded that the racial crossing influences the semen parameters of rams submitted to heat stress.


O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar o efeito do cruzamento racial sobre parâmetros seminais de oito carneiros Santa Inês e mestiços, submetidos ao estresse térmico e monitorar o retorno desses parâmetros aos relatos anteriormente. Antes de colocar as bolsas de insulação, foram realizadas duas coletas de sêmen por meio de eletroejaculação. As bolsas de insulação foram confeccionadas com plástico de camada dupla, revestidas internamente com algodão, fixadas ao redor do funículo espermático e escroto com fita adesiva e bandagem, permanecendo nos testículos dos animais por sete dias. A primeira coleta foi realizada no dia em que as bolsas foram retiradas (dia 0) e a partir daí, a cada sete dias, totalizando 15 coletas. Os dados foram submetidos à análise de variância (ANOVA). As variáveis analisadas foram submetidas ao teste de Dunnett a 5% de probabilidade para comparar os valores obtidos antes do tratamento com aqueles obtidos nos dias seguintes. Neste estudo verificou-se que os animais restauraram os parâmetros seminais normais após os efeitos da insulação, porém, a taxa de retorno diferiu ligeiramente entre as raças estudadas. Os animais mestiços restauraram os padrões seminais, em média, uma semana antes da Santa Inês. Conclui-se que o cruzamento racial influencia os parâmetros seminais de carneiros submetidos ao estresse térmico.

ABSTRACT

Objective To analyze the application effect of water circulation blanket combined with warming flushing fluid in patients with percutaneous nephrolithotomy. Methods A total of 86 patients with percutaneous nephrolithotomy who underwent surgery from January 2015 to August 2018 were enrolled in Gaochun People's Hospital of Nanjing. The prospective study was used and the patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group for 43 patients in each group. The control group used conventional heat preservation measures and warming flushing fluid, and the treatment group used water circulation blanket combined with warming flushing fluid. The stress response, coagulation function, and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The body temperature, mean arterial pressure and heart rate of the treatment group 1 hour after surgery were (37.04±0.30)°C, (94.12± 8.24) mmHg, (82.06±7.82) times/min, respectively, after the completion of the operation, the indexes were (36.97±0.40)°C, (95.36±8.15) mmHg, and (82.78±8.21) times/min. The control group 1 hour after surgery indexes was (36.74±0.36) °C, (90.12±8.21) mmHg, (85.78±8.32) times/min, after the completion of the operation, the indexes were (35.76 ± 0.42) °C, (90.42 ± 6.54) mmHg, and (90.32 ± 7.43) times/min. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant (t=2.136-13.680, P<0.05 or 0.01). The serum fibrinogen, activated partial thrombin time and thrombin time in the treatment group were (3.10 ± 0.52) g/L, (30.08±1.85) s, (17.02±1.60) s, respectively, and the control group was (3.85±0.60) g/L, (33.42±1.74) s, (19.56± 1.75) s. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant (t=6.194, 8.624, 7.024, P<0.05 or 0.01).The incidence of adverse reactions such as hypothermia in the treatment group was 6.98% (3/43), which was significantly lower than that in the control group 27.91% (12/43). The difference was statistically significant (χ2=6.541, P<0.05). Conclusions The water circulation blanket combined with warming flushing fluid can help relieve the stress response of patients with percutaneous nephrolithotomy, maintain the body's coagulation function stable, and reduce adverse reactions such as intraoperative hypothermia.

ABSTRACT

Este trabajo discute los resultados de la investigación experimental conducida para estudiar la inclusión de materiales reciclables como cascarilla de arroz, poliestireno expandido (icopor) y tereftalato de polietileno ­PET­ en la masilla para construcción liviana empleada para la fabricación de placas de Drywall como respuesta a la minimización del impacto ambiental y al aprovechamiento de las propiedades de los materiales desechados que son nuevamente introducidos en procesos productivos con el fin de obtener baja conductividad térmica, alta capacidad calorífica, alta capacidad de absorción sonora y cumplir con la normativa internacional para materiales de construcción; para ello se realizaron pruebas para medir cuatro propiedades como son el aislamiento térmico, capacidad calorífica y pruebas físico-mecánicas (resistencia a la flexión y resistencia a la tracción de clavo) por medio de probetas, teniendo en cuenta la normativa ASTM C 1396/C1396M-04 y ASTM C473-03, mientras que para la prueba de aislamiento acústico se utilizaron las normas ISO 16283-1 e ISO 717-1; los resultados obtenidos se procesaron aplicando un análisis estadístico multivariado empleando el software Statgraphics Centurion XVII que estableció los valores máximos y mínimos, la correlación de Pearson y ordinal de Spearman como método de análisis para el reporte del material más eficiente respecto a las cuatro propiedades medidas. La cascarilla de arroz, sustituyendo en un 60 % el peso del yeso en la masilla original, reportó los mejores resultados en cada una de las cuatro pruebas realizadas a lo largo de la investigación; de esta manera se confirma que es un material adecuado para la implementación en procesos de construcción liviana dado que demuestra que los materiales reciclables son eficientes y además poseen propiedades específicas como resistencia, liviandad y flexibilidad que le dan un valor agregado para ser utilizados nuevamente como reemplazo de materiales tradicionales.


This paper discusses the results of the experimental research conducted to study the inclusion of recyclable materials such as rice husks, expanded polystyrene (Styrofoam), and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) in the mastic for lightweight construction used for the manufacture of Drywall plates in response to the minimization of the environmental impact, and the use of the properties of discarded materials that are, once again, introduced in productive processes to obtain low thermal conductivity, high heat capacity, high sound absorption capacity and that comply with international standards for construction materials. For this purpose, tests to measure four properties such as Thermal Insulation, Calorific Capacity and Physical-Mechanical Testing (Flexural Resistance and Nail Tensile Strength) were carried out by means of test pieces taking into account the ASTM C1396 / C1396M - 04 and ASTM C473 - 03, while ISO 16283-1 and ISO 717-1 were used for the acoustic insulation test. The results obtained were processed by applying a multivariate statistical analysis using the Statgraphics Centurion XVII-2015 software that established the maximum and minimum values, Pearson's correlation and Spearman's ordinal as the analysis method for reporting the most efficient material regarding the four measured properties. Rice husk, replacing by 60% the weight of plaster in the original mastic, reported the best results in each of the four tests carried out throughout the research. In this way, it is confirmed that it is a suitable material for the implementation in lightweight construction processes as it shows that recyclable materials are efficient and also have specific properties such as strength, lightness and flexibility that give an added value to be used again as a replacement of traditional materials.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To explore the importance and necessity that central sterile supply department (CSSD) carried out detection for insulating property of electrosurgical instrument so as to guarantee the safety of surgery for patients. Methods: 50 monopole instruments and 30 bipolar instruments were collected, and specific insulation tester was adopted to detect the insulation property of these instruments. Besides, the detection methods of electrosurgical instrument between home and abroad were compared so as to avoid and reduce the adverse events caused by the breakage of insulating layer of electrosurgical instrument. Results: The breakages of insulating layer of 5 monopole instruments and 2 bipolar instruments were found through detection and all of them were replaced. The same problem did not be found again after 2 months. The insulation tester was used to detect the insulation property of electrosurgical instruments could effectively found these instruments with damages of insulating layer. Conclusion:The damage of the insulation layer of the electrosurgical instruments may cause serious consequences and even threat safety of patients. Periodic detection for insulation property can effectively reduce and avoid the occurrence of same problems and guarantee the safety of patient. Therefore, it is very necessary measurement.

ABSTRACT

Aims@#Kefir is a fermented dairy product using lactic acid bacteria, such as Lactobacillus lactis and L. delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus mixed with yeast and produces acids and alcohols. Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) can be identified based on morphological and biochemical characteristics, using macroscopic and microscopic examination and biochemical tests. This study aims to isolate LAB from commercial kefir grain and to conduct an identification based on morphological characteristics using macroscopic, microscopic and biochemical techniques. @*Methodology and results@#LAB isolated from kefir grain was grown on nutrient-agar medium and then transferred to the MRS agar medium. Macroscopic observations included recording the colony size, color, form, surface, and edge. Microscopic examination involved Gram staining and spore staining. Biochemical assays included oxidase test and aerobic and anaerobic tests. The results obtained were lactic acid bacteria which were negative in the catalase and oxidase tests, positive for Gram staining, spore staining was negative, and aerobic and anaerobic tests were positive; the bacteria were rod-shaped and rounded. @*Conclusion, significance and impact of study@#Lactic acid bacteria isolated from kefir grains were identified by macroscopic and microscopic examination of morphology and using biochemical tests putatively identified as Lactococcus cremoris, Streptococcus cremoris and L. plantarum.

ABSTRACT

Este trabalho visa analisar o Programa Mais Médicos (PMM) enquanto política pública da saúde, descrevendo algumas de suas características principais e apresentando dados que permitam uma visão sobre seu desempenho, a fim de trazer à luz, além de outros aspectos, a discrepância entre os resultados alcançados e a oposição feita ao programa pelo Conselho Federal de Medicina e pelo Conselho Regional de Medicina do Estado de São Paulo. Tomando como referência o ciclo de políticas públicas, o trabalho trata com especial ênfase as etapas de formulação e implementação. Utilizando como referencial analítico os conceitos de insulamento burocrático e janela de oportunidades, argumenta-se que o PMM possui aspectos instigantes, seja pelas características insuladas que marcam seu processo de formulação - levando a crer que o programa se manteve alheio a pressões externas durante essa fase -, seja pelo caráter oportuno gerado pelas chamadas Jornadas de Junho de 2013, que criaram condições necessárias para o governo federal lançar uma iniciativa claramente polêmica. Essas características, associadas ao significativo impacto social do programa, propiciam reflexões com potenciais aprendizados para processos envolvendo políticas públicas.(AU)


This paper aims to analyze the Mais Médicos program (PMM) as a public health policy, describing some of its main characteristics and presenting data that allow an insight into its performance, bringing to light, among other aspects, the discrepancy between the results achieved and the opposition placed by the Conselho Federal de Medicina and the Conselho Regional de Medicina do Estado de São Paulo - medicine councils from the federation and from the state of São Paulo. Taking as reference the public policies cycle, the study focuses on the formulation and implementation stages. Using the analytical reference the concepts of bureaucratic insulation and window of opportunity, it is argued that the PMM has instigating aspects, either because of the insulated characteristics that mark its formulation process - which leads one to believe that the program has been maintained disregarding the external pressures of this initial phase -, or because of the favorable environment created by the days of June 2013, marked by popular manifestations that paved the way for the federal government to launch the clearly controversial initiative. These characteristics, associated with the significant social impact of the program, provide reflections that can contribute to the improvement of the knowledge on public policies processes.(AU)

ABSTRACT

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of the racial crossing on scrotum-testicular biometric characteristics of four sheep Santa Ines and four crossbred (Santa Ines x Dorper) submitted to scrotal insulation, following the return of these characteristics to values previously reported. For this, two measurements were made regarding the scrotal circumference (SC), length (L) and testicular width (W) before treatments. The testicular volume (V) was calculated by the formula V=2 [(r2) x π x H]. The pouches were made with double-layer plastic, internally lined with cotton, and fixed around the spermatic funiculus and scrotum with adhesive tape and bandage remaining in this position for seven days. Measurements were made every seven days, totaling 15 measurements throughout the experiment. The data were submitted to analysis of variance (ANOVA) to a randomized block design with two blocks, 15 treatments and four replications. The variables analyzed were subjected to Dunnett test at 5% probability, to compare the values obtained before and after insulation. For comparison between the breeds, the variables were submitted to Tukey test at 5% probability. All animals studied suffered significant influence (P<0.05) after scrotal insulation, but Santa Ines returned to the values previously observed in a shorter period than the crossbred. In summary, sheep Santa Ines have a higher resistance than crossbred animals when subjected to thermal stress induced by scrotal insulation.(AU)


Objetivou-se neste trabalho avaliar o efeito do cruzamento sobre as características biométricas escroto-testiculares de carneiros da raça Santa Inês e mestiços (Santa Inês x Dorper), submetidos à insulação escrotal, acompanhando o retorno dessas características aos valores previamente observados. Para isso, foram realizadas duas mensurações referentes à circunferência escrotal (CE), comprimento (C) e largura testicular (L), antes da insulação. O volume testicular (V) foi calculado pela fórmula V=2 [(r2) x π x h]. As bolsas de insulação foram fixadas ao redor do funículo espermático e escroto com fita adesiva e esparadrapo, permanecendo por sete dias. Após o período de insulação, as mensurações foram realizadas a cada sete dias, totalizando 15 mensurações durante todo o experimento. Os dados obtidos foram submetidos à análise de variância (ANOVA) para um delineamento em blocos casualizados, com dois blocos, 15 tratamentos e quatro repetições. As variáveis analisadas foram submetidas ao teste de Dunnett a 5% de probabilidade, para comparar os valores obtidos antes e após a insulação. Para a comparação entre as raças, as variáveis foram submetidas ao teste de Tukey a 5% de probabilidade. Todos os animais estudados sofreram influência significativa (P<0,05) após a insulação escrotal, porém os carneiros da raça Santa Inês retornaram aos valores anteriormente observados em um espaço de tempo mais curto do que os mestiços. Conclui-se que carneiros da raça Santa Inês apresentam maior resistência do que animais mestiços quando submetidos ao estresse térmico induzido pela insulação escrotal.(AU)

Objective:To regulate operation requirement for electric instrument using in surgery and eliminate hidden danger so as to ensure their safety in using.Methods: Through discussed the regulation of operative process for electric instrument using in surgery to develop a insulation detector which can adapt the particular case of hospital, and then to carry out relevant management for this kind of electric instrument.Results: The simplest insulation monitoring method got best reliable data, and it provide accuracy basis for clinical electric instrument. Therefore, it ensured the safety of clinical application of electric instrument.Conclusion: The special insulation monitor detects electric instrument in surgery has series of merits including low investment, fast detection and reliable performance, it not only can ensure the safety of surgery but also can provide traceable basis for preventing relevant medical dispute.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the insulation effect of the coating so as to relieve the influence of solar overtemperature on the tent system.Methods The tent had an integrated structure with multi cavity and air column support,and the confined space was composed of the dual-layer tent body.There were 4 measuring points in the tent,of which,one was at the filter vent,two ones at the ceiling lamp and the remained one above the curtain in the buffer area.The tent was deployed in summer outdoor environment,four thermographs were used for real-time recording of intemal temperature changes in the tents with or without coating,and the recording began at 8:00 am and stopped at 5:00 pm.Comparison proved there was no significant differences between the measured values by the four thermographs (P>0.05),and correlation analysis was executed based on numerical trend and variance analysis.Results The coating tent had the internal temperature lower than that in the non-coating tent,which had low mean temperature and low temperature range.The internal temperature in the coating tent was lower than ambient temperature at noon and afternoon,which meant the coating tent could lower the temperature effectively even in the duration at high temperature.Concusion Thermal insulation coating applied to the tent relieves the solar overtemperature effect effectively,and thus enhances the the tent's thermal environment adaptability.

Objective To explore the insulation effect of the coating so as to relieve the influence of solar overtemperature on the tent system.Methods The tent had an integrated structure with multi cavity and air column support,and the confined space was composed of the dual-layer tent body.There were 4 measuring points in the tent,of which,one was at the filter vent,two ones at the ceiling lamp and the remained one above the curtain in the buffer area.The tent was deployed in summer outdoor environment,four thermographs were used for real-time recording of intemal temperature changes in the tents with or without coating,and the recording began at 8:00 am and stopped at 5:00 pm.Comparison proved there was no significant differences between the measured values by the four thermographs (P>0.05),and correlation analysis was executed based on numerical trend and variance analysis.Results The coating tent had the internal temperature lower than that in the non-coating tent,which had low mean temperature and low temperature range.The internal temperature in the coating tent was lower than ambient temperature at noon and afternoon,which meant the coating tent could lower the temperature effectively even in the duration at high temperature.Concusion Thermal insulation coating applied to the tent relieves the solar overtemperature effect effectively,and thus enhances the the tent's thermal environment adaptability.

ABSTRACT

Cross-talk of intracellular signaling pathways that share common components (hubs) is organized in form of a bow-tie network topology.Signaling cross-talk is functionally pleiotropic for target genes regulation, resulting in functional redundancy, synergism and antagonism, which should be precisely controlled to prevent signaling 'leaking' or 'spillover'.Thus, the biological system has evolved multiple insulating mechanisms to achieve stimulus-specific response that maintains intracellular homeostasis.The insulation mechanism of signaling cross-talk suggests: (1) the functional duality of cross-talk molecules that determine cell fate requires selectively targeting dysregulated cross-talk molecules while protecting the normal ones from off-target or unintended effects, and we propose them as the targetable cross-talk molecules;(2) cross-talk molecules are usually carried on the macromolecular complex as their functional platforms, thus the structural plasticity of conformational changes at the interaction surface of cross-talk molecules asks for intensive work on the relationship study between drug binding and biological activity, which we propose as the accessible cross-talk molecules.Therefore, signaling cross-talk and its insulation mechanism play instructive leading roles in resolving the bottlenecks of current drug R&D and improve the clinical outcome.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate better heating and thermal insulation methods of enteral nutrition solution by comparing different thermal insulation devices. Methods A total of 90 patients with continuous enteral nutrition support, in accordance with the random number table, were divided into 3 groups. Enteral nutrition solution was heated by three different methods. It included the heating infusion thermostat, the heating nutrition pump and the heating special insulation using medical liquid bag device, and to comparatively observe the temperature of nutrition solution of three groups in the nasal feeding tube before infusion finish, in addition, to comparatively observe adverse reaction in course of enteral nutrition support and calculate the cost of heating device. Results The percentage of nutrition solution with temperature during 35-40 ℃, the incidence rate of adverse reaction and the cost of heating device in the heating special insulation using medical liquid bag device was 100.00%( 30/30), 6.67%(2/30) and 1837.23 yuan while the heating infusion thermostat was 73.33%( 22/30), 33.33%(10/30) and 2079.46 yuan, and the heating nutrition pump was 0, 26.67% (8/30) and 2007.05 yuan. The difference among three heating devices was statistically significant (Z=48.50, P =0.000; χ2=6.69, P=0.038; F=17.87, P=0.000). Conclusions The heating special insulation using medical liquid bag device is good insulation effect, low cost and easy to handle, and is worth being popularized.

ABSTRACT

Asbestos is a human carcinogen, and prohibited to use in 55 countries. Thermal power plants, construction industries, locomotive repair shops and analytical laboratories in Mongolia use asbestos as thermal insulation material. This study investigated exposure to airborne asbestos in workplaces. Total of 85 air sampleswere collected from thermal power plants (n=4), locomotive repairshop (n=1), construction renovation workplace (n=1), construction material shop (n=1) and analytical laboratory (n=1).The air samples were collected and analyzed by NIOSH 7400 and 7402 standard analytical methods. The average of airborne asbestos concentration (0.72f/cm3) in the workplaces was 7.2 times higher than the occupational exposure limit (0.1f/cm3). Exposure to airborne asbestos was exceeded in insulation workplaces of the thermal power plants and locomotive repairshop.Airborne asbestos was detected from construction renovation worksite, construction material shop and analytical laboratory, but did not exceeded the occupational exposure level.

ABSTRACT

As the major member of serine/threonine protein ki-nases family, glycogen synthase kinase 3β ( GSK-3β) has well characterized roles in the development of a variety of diseases. However, it is noticed that modulation of GSK-3β in tumor pro-gress is two-faced. Once the activity of GSK-3βas a“pro-onco-genic factor” is inhibited, opposing role as a“tumor suppressor”can also be disrupted, which will trigger the consequent side effect on activation of Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway. The is-sue has placed a major obstacle to anti-GSK-3β in cancer treat-ment. In fact, functional compartmentalization of a large number of intracellular signaling events cross-talked with GSK-3β can prevent their mutual interference and determine the cell fate. Therefore, understanding the specific mechanisms of GSK-3β in regulation of diverse signaling systems or refinement of a sub-strate competitive inhibitor may have great significance to exploit approaches selectively target GSK-3β in tumor treatment.

Climate may be described as refined weather. The meteorologist notes the day-to-day variations of the weather components, extracts the principal frequencies which then describe the seasons, and once the average values have been derived over long periods of time, there emerges the concept of climate. Advances in preventive and curative medicine are such that man is left virtually with only his two oldest enemies to combat: his fellow men and the environment and he will be able to give better attention to the former if the latter is neutralised by the supply of suitable clothing designed to keep him comfortable.


El clima puede describirse como el tiempo refinado. El meteorólogo ha observado día tras día las variaciones de los componentes del tiempo, ha extraído las frecuencias principales que entonces describen las estaciones, y una vez que los valores promedios han sido derivados durante un largo período de tiempo, surge el concepto de clima. Los adelantos en la medicina preventiva y curativa son tales que el ser humano se ha quedado virtualmente enfrentando sólo a sus dos enemigos más viejos: sus prójimos y el medio ambiente. Podrá entonces prestar más atención a los primeros, si logra neutralizar el segundo mediante el suministro de ropa convenientemente diseñada que le provea confort.

ABSTRACT

This study was conducted to determine the effect of scrotal insulation and post insulation Proviron® treatment on sperm morphological characteristics and mating behavior. Twelve healthy WAD bucks, free from any clinical or andrological disorder were used. Scrotal insulation was done using insulating bags for 30 days. After insulation, the bucks were divided into two groups. The treatment group received 100mg/head /week of Proviron® for 3 weeks. Semen collection was done using the electroejaculation method in all phases of the study. The proviron® treated bucks, when compared with insulation and post insulation untreated phases, showed significant reduction (p<0.05) in sperm cell abnormalities which reduced from 15.89 +/- 22.89 in post insulation untreated phase to 2.81 +/- 0.83 in post insulation treated phase. The Proviron® treated bucks also showed increased physical vigor by riding, mounting and fighting their untreated counterparts.


Este estudio se realizó para determinar el efecto de aislamiento escrotal y aislamiento posterior al tratamiento con Proviron® sobre las características morfológicas de los espermatozoides y el comportamiento del apareamiento. Fueron utilizadas 12 cabras enanas del Oeste Africano, sanas, libres de cualquier desorden clínico andrológico. El aislamiento escrotal se realizó utilizando bolsas de aislamiento durante 30 días. Después de aislamiento, los machos se dividieron en dos grupos. El grupo de tratamiento recibió 100mg/cada una por semana de Proviron® durante 3 semanas. La recolección de semen se realizó mediante el método de electroeyaculación en todas las fases del estudio. Las cabras tratadas con Proviron®, cuando se compararon con las fases post-aislamiento no tratadas, mostraron una reducción significativa (p<0,05) en las anormalidades de células espermáticas, las cuales se redujeron desde 15,89 +/- 22,89 en las fases post-aislamiento sin tratamiento a 2,81 +/- 0,83 en las fases post-aislamiento tratadas. Las cabras tratadas con Proviron® también mostraron un incremento en el vigor físico, la monta y la lucha contra sus homólogos no tratados.

ABSTRACT

Objective To discuss the application of insulation blanket in the esophageal cancer radical surgery.Methods 40 cases of esophageal carcinoma patients were divided into two groups at random,20 cases involved in the control group (non-use of insulation blankets) and 20 cases in the experimental group (use of thermal insulation blanket).The changes in body temperature of all patients were monitored with nasopharyngeal temperature probe and analyzed in statistics.Results Compared to the control group,the body temperatures of the experimental group were higher.By heating with insulation blanket,the body temperatures were increased obviously in 30 minutes after entering the operation room,but no significant difference appeared at different time points after 30 minutes.Conclusions In radical surgery of esophageal cancer,the use of blanket insulation is an effective way to maintain a constant body temperature of patients and reduce post-operative complications,and promote early recovery of patients.
