ABSTRACT

In view of the shortcomings of traditional oral practice course for clinical medicine undergraduate, such as less teaching time, more content, intensive students, special location of oral disease lesions, narrow observation range, teaching mainly by teacher lectures and less opportunities for students to operate, etc., based on the principles of oral medicine and the training goal of clinical medicine, a new teaching model of virtual reality technology (VR) combined with flipped classroom, the traditional teaching method and examination method of dental practice course for clinical medicine undergraduates have been reformed. The teaching mode after the reform has improved the students' interest in learning and the teaching quality of the oral practice course. In order to meet the essential requirements of "centered" clinical medical education, it provides an effective reference for training compound medical talents with stronger practical and operational ability.

ABSTRACT

At present, there is little research on the new teaching mode for the practice course of epidemiology. Based on the situation, this paper mainly discussed how the MOOC (Massive Open Online Course)-based multi-teaching mode was applied to the practice course of Epidemiology. The structure of this multi- teaching mode consisted of case base construction, class preparation, class presentation and learning evaluation. Thus, MOOC, flipped Class Mode and other new teaching modes were integrated into traditional face-to-face teaching. In addition, this paper also demonstrated the implementation of the multi-teaching mode in the teaching of preventive medicine. It is worth exploring how to integrate MOOC into the teaching of the practice course of epidemiology in the future.

After a description of medical literature retrieval teaching in our library, the contents in the designed medical literature retrieval practice course teaching and the ideas for its reform, the competitive practice method was proposed according to the characteristics of subjects in which the undergraduates were majored and the experi-ence with several teaching models such as PBL, the effect of its implementation was analyzed with its related prob-lems and measures for their solution pointed out.

ABSTRACT

Epidemiology is a discipline characterized by complicated theory and practice.How to make the practice course function better is a topic worthy of exploring in educational reform for clinical students.The article explored the‘Student-Dominated’ Model based on ‘Problem-Based Learning ’ and ‘Team Based Learning ’ in teaching process and compared the model with the traditional one ( Teacher-Dominated Model) .Suggestions were given to further improve effectiveness of epidemiology practice courses.

ABSTRACT

Objective To compared the effect of combined teaching method of lecture,case analysis and GasMan@software (LAG) and traditional teaching method (LBL) in inhalation anesthesia practice course.Method 78 anesthesiological undergraduates were randomly assigned to G group (n=39) or Control group (n=39).According to the requirements of clinical anesthesiology in the syllabus,G group used classroom lectures,case analysis and GasMan@software (LAG) teaching method,while Control group used lecture based learning (LBL) teaching method.The students took anonymous quiz and filled teaching effect evaluation form after practice course.Then the exam results were compared between groups to evaluate the teaching effect.SPSS 19.0 was applied to do statistical analysis and t test and x2 test were used.Results Compared to the Control group,G group got better results in objective questions like choosing,judgment,case analysis and average ranks (P=0.000),and there was no significant difference in the identification section (P=0.087),while G group also got better results in subjective questions like learning interests,study efficiency,memorize,logical thoughts,ability of analysis,solving problems and cooperation (P<0.05).Conclusion Compared to traditional teaching method,the combined use of lecture,case analysis and GasMan@software make students immersive,develop their clinical thinking ability,and improve the teaching effect of inhalation anesthesia practice course significantly.

ABSTRACT

Clinical practice is an important period to train student's skills in pediatric surgical learning,but it is confronted with difficult condition under the new doctor-patient relationship.How to resolve these difficulties is the key to carry on teaching successfully.Aaccording to the students' interests and the knowledge structure characteristics,teachers should cultivate their professionalism,train their communication skills,extend their thinking ability with appropriate use of teaching aid to increase the teaching interests and develop self-learning ability.

ABSTRACT

It was reported that nursing students had most difficulties in clinical competency due to their short of knowledge and skills in nursing care. Environmental difference between laboratory in nursing school and hospital was another difficulty to them. This implicated that more preclinical competency education is needed in fundermental nursing to achieve skills of care and the laboratory environment of nursing school had to be improved. The purpose of this study was to examine contents, total lecture and practicum hours of the fundermental nursing education in nursing schools. It was also examine the difference of contents between hospital in-service education and nursing school. It's study is a descriptive study with study sample of 56 nursing professors who teach fundermental nursing in colleges and universities. Structured Questionnaires was used in collecting data. The result showed that practicum hours was total 96.8 hours which was 59% of fundermental nursing course. The education regarding medication account for large numbers of hours. Aseptic technique, elimination care, vital sign, oxygen related care were the next common contents. When compared with hospital in-service education, 76% of the education were the same. This suggested that pre-clinical education in fundermental nursing needed to be enforced in its contents & education hours to establish clinical practice centered nursing education.
