RESUMEN

Objective:To develop the problematic short video use scale for college students in the context of Chinese culture, and to test its reliability and validity. Methods:The questionnaire items were established based on bibliographic retrieval method, interviewing method and social investigation method.Totally 275 college students were selected as subjects for item analysis and exploratory analysis, and 642 college students were selected for confirmatory factor analysis, validity analysis and reliability analysis. One month later, 112 college students were retested and test-retest reliability data were collected. SPSS 26.0 and Mplus 8.3 softwares were used for correlation analysis, reliability and validity analysis of the questionnaires.Results:(1) The formal questionnaire contained three dimensions, 13 items in total, and the three dimensions were change of knowledge and behavior, physical discomfort and social viscosity. The internal consistency coefficients of three dimensions were 0.794, 0.820, and 0.716, respectively. The item load ranged from 0.577 to 0.805, and the variance contribution rate was 64.803%. (2) The confirmatory factor analysis results showed that χ2/ df=2.39, SRMR=0.038, RMSEA=0.047, CFI=0.970, TLI=0.963, indicated that the three-factor structure accords with the requirements of psychometrics. (3) The split-half reliability of the questionnaire was 0.885, Cronbach's α was 0.882, and the test-retest reliability after one month was 0.991. The internal consistency reliability of the total questionnaire and each dimension ranged 0.716-0.882. Conclusion:The problematic short video media use scale has good psychometric indicators and it benefits the studies of problematic short video use among Chinese college students.

RESUMEN

Objective:To explore the latent categories of short video media use tendency among adolescents and the influence of personality traits on different categories. Methods:Totally 1 362 adolescents were tested by the five factors of adolescent personality questionnaire and the problematic short video media use scale in March 2022.SPSS 26.0 software was used for data collation and descriptive statistics.Mplus 8.3 software was used for latent profile analysis (LPA) to explore the latent categories of adolescents’ short video media use tendency.Regression mixed model (R3STEP) was used to explore the relationship between different categories of short video media use tendency and personality traits. Results:The short video media use tendency among adolescents was divided into 4 latent categories (by proportion from low to high): " problematic short video media use tendency type" (C4, 11%), " safe short video media use tendency type" (C3, 21%), " social short video media use tendency type" (C1, 29%), and " transitional short video media use tendency type" (C2, 39%). Different personality traits had different effects on the 4 latent categories of short video media use tendency, and using C3 as a reference, openness ( OR=1.95) was a triggering predictor of C1, neuroticism ( OR=0.72) was a protective predictor of C1; cautiousness ( OR=0.46) was a protective predictor of C2, neuroticism ( OR=1.60) was a triggering predictor of C2; cautiousness ( OR=0.33) was a protective predictor of C4, neuroticism ( OR=3.24) was a triggering predictor of C4. Conclusion:There are four different latent categories of Chinese adolescents' short video media use tendency, respectively " safe" , " social" , " transitional" and " problematic" . Further research reveal that, personality traits have a significant impact on the different categories of adolescents' short video media use tendency. This study suggests that educators reasonably guide " transitional" , intervene " problematic" , and focus on helping adolescents with high neuroticism to effectively regulate their negative emotions and reduce the occurrence of problematic short video use.

RESUMEN

Brain diseases such as stroke, Alzheimer s disease, epilepsy, have always been worldwide problems that endanger human health and are costly disease from societal perspectives. In recent years, more and more attention has been paid to the relationship between components of neurovascular unit (cerebrovascular endothelial cell, microglia, astrocyte and neuron) and brain diseases. Not only have their structures changed during the pathological process, but also coupling communication and functions have changed accordingly. On the basis of summarizing previous studies on the abnormalities in intercellular communication and its mechanism with brain disorders, this review is expected to find novel targets or therapeutic treatment for neuropsychiatric diseases.

RESUMEN

Objective:To understand the contamination and antimicrobial resistance of Vibrio parahaemolyticus in seafood sold in a place of Zhejiang Province, and to provide basic data for the prevention and control of food-borne diseases caused by V. parahaemolyticus. Methods:V. parahaemolyticus was isolated and identified from seafood according to GB 4789.7—2013 method. The virulence genes were identified by real-time fluorescent PCR, and the antimicrobial sensitivity test was performed by Kirby-Bauer method. Results:V. parahaemolyticus was isolated from 55 of 210 seafood samples. The detection rate was 26.19%, and the detection rates of different species were quite different. None of the 55 isolates contained virulence genes tdh and trh, while all isolates have species-specific genes tlh and toxR. Most isolates were resistant to ampicillin and amoxicillin, with the same antimicrobial resistance rate of 96.36%. All isolates were fully sensitive to ampicillin/sulbactam, tetracycline, ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin, loxacin and chloramphenicol. Conclusion:V. parahaemolyticus contamination is common in sold seafood. The antimicrobial resistance of the isolates has reached a certain level. Monitoring of the pollution status of V. parahaemolyticus in seafood should be strengthened and the aquaculture and clinical use of antibiotics should be standardized.

RESUMEN

Objective The scope of this study was aimed to explore the relationship between serum Ghrelin levels and disease severity in non-traumatic ONFH patients. Methods 84 non-traumatic ONFH patients and 84 healthy controls were enrolled for this study in our hospital. The radiographic progression was determined by FICAT grading system. The clinical severity was evaluated by visual analogue scale(VAS),Harris hip scores(HSS). The serum APN concentrations were examined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Serum adiponectin and IL-33 levels were also examined. The relationship between serum Ghrelin levels and radiographic severity, clinical severity and biochemical indices were investigated. Results Serum Ghrelin levels were significantly lower in ONFH patients than in healthy controls. Serum Ghrelin levels were negatively correlated with FICAT grading system. In addition,Serum Ghrelin levels were also negatively related to VAS scores and positively associated with HSS scores ,Last ,Serum Ghrelin levels were positively with adiponectin levels and negatively correlated with IL-33 levels. Conclusion Serum Ghrelin levels in non-traumatic ONFH patients were negatively associated with the disease severity. Decreased serum Ghrelin levels may reflect disease severity of non-traumatic ONFH.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUNDSH3TC2, PMP2, and BSCL2 genes are related to autosomal recessive (AR) Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) disease type 1, autosomal dominant (AD)-CMT1, and AD-CMT2, respectively. Pathogenic variants in these three genes were not well documented in Chinese CMT patients. Therefore, this study aims to detect SH3TC2, PMP2, and BSCL2 pathogenic variants in a cohort of 315 unrelated Chinese CMT families.

METHODSA total of 315 probands from 315 unrelated Chinese CMT families were recruited from the Department of Neurology of Third Xiangya Hospital and Xiangya Hospital. We screened for SH3TC2 pathogenic variants in 84 AR or sporadic CMT probands, PMP2 pathogenic variants in 39 AD or sporadic CMT1 probands, and BSCL2 pathogenic variants in 50 AD or sporadic CMT2 probands, using polymerase chain reaction and Sanger sequencing. All these patients were out of 315 unrelated Chinese CMT families and genetically undiagnosed after exclusion of pathogenic variants of PMP22, MFN2, MPZ, GJB1, GDAP1, HSPB1, HSPB8, EGR2, NEFL, and RAB7. Candidate variants were analyzed based on the standards and guidelines of American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG). Clinical features were reevaluated.

RESULTSWe identified three novel heterozygous variants such as p.L95V (c.283C>G), p.L1048P (c.3143T>C), and p.V1105M (c.3313G>A) of SH3TC2 gene and no pathogenic variants of PMP2 and BSCL2 genes. Although evaluation in silico and screening in the healthy control revealed that the three SH3TC2 variants were likely pathogenic, no second allele variants were discovered. According to the standards and guidelines of ACMG, the heterozygous SH3TC2 variants such as p.L95V, p.L1048P, and p.V1105M were considered to be of uncertain significance.

CONCLUSIONSSH3TC2, PMP2, and BSCL2 pathogenic variants might be rare in Chinese CMT patients. Further studies to confirm our findings are needed.

RESUMEN

Objective: To explore the feasibility and safety of comprehensive staging surgery via laparoscopic operation and its clinical significance. Methods: A retrospective analysis of medical records was conducted in 35 inpatients diagnosed of ovarian cancer (stage I, n = 29; stage II, n = 4; stage III, n = 2) in Department of Gynecology of Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical University between January 2010 and January 2013. Of the 35 patients, 15 underwent comprehensive staging operation via laparoscopic operation and 20 via open operation. The general conditions during and after operation and the postoperative survival were observed and compared between the two groups. Results: All operations completed successfully in 15 patients in the laparoscopic operation group, and no perioperative complications were observed. The intraoperative blood loss and the rate of postoperative analgesia in the laparoscopic operation group were both less than those in the open operation group (P 0.05). There was also no significant difference in the cumulative survival rate between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion: Comprehensive staging operation for ovarian cancer especially for early-stage cancer is feasible and safe. It has the merits of smaller wound, less blood loss during the operation and more rapid recovery. Copyright© 2014 by TUMOR.

RESUMEN

Objective To develop a new type of combined bone grafts mainly including nanometer hydroxyapatite (n-HA) and α-calcium sulphate hemihydrate (α-CSH), and investigate its setting property and compressive strength. Methods The setting time and compressive strength of nHA/α-CSH combined bone grafts with different liquid-to-solid (L/S) ratio or calcium sulphate dehydrate (CSD) amount were measured and observed by the X-ray diffraction (XRD) and the scanning electron microscope (SEM). Results The setting time of combined bone grafts was increased along with the increase of L/S ratio or nHA amount, and reduced with the increase of CSD amount. The setting time of the compound with 20% of nHA, 80% of α-CSH was (169±36) min, while that of the compound with 5% of nHA, 20% of CSD, 75% of α-CSH was (6±1.1) min. The compressive strength of combined bone grafts reduced along with the increase of nHA amount. The average compressive strength of pure α-CSH was (12.3±2.4) MPa, while that of the compound with 20% of nHA, 80% of CSH was (4.8±0.6) MPa. The XRD results showed that no other materials were produced except that α-CSH was transformed to CSD during the setting process. The SEM results indicated that nHA was filled in the crystal structure of the CSD, presenting two-phase structure. Conclusions The setting time and compressive strength of nHA/α-CSH combined bone grafts can be adjusted by the different proportion of nHA, CSD amount and L/S ratio, which provides an appropriate condition for clinical application.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVETo investigate the effect of PDTC (inhibitor of NF-κb) on apoptosis of human gastric cancer cell line SGC-7901 induced by tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α) and explore the related mechanisms.

METHODSAfter the treatment with different concentrations of PDTC, TNF-α or PDTC combined with TNF-α on gastric cancer cell line SGC-7901, the growth inhibition of SGC-7901 was measured by MTT assay. Hoechst was used to assess SGC-7901 cell apoptosis. The protein expressions of survivin and caspase-3 were detected by Western blot assay.

RESULTSThe growth inhibition rate of SGC-7901 induced by PDTC (15, 30, 60, 100 μmol/L) was (12.14±0.91)%, (20.00±1.11)%, (37.63±1.01)% and (41.46±1.07)%. Different concentrations of PDTC all inhibited the growth of SGC-7901 significantly (all P<0.01), The growth inhibition rate of SGC-7901 induced by 25 mg/L TNF-α was (2.38±0.67)%, which could not significantly inhibit the growth of SGC-7901 [control (1.50±0.81)%], while TNF-α of 50, 100, 150 mg/L could inhibit the growth of SGC-7901 significantly [(4.53±0.85)%, (4.43±0.70)% and (4.74±1.07)%, all P<0.05]. PDTC (15 μmol/L) combined with TNF-α (25, 50, 100, 150 mg/L) significantly increased the cell growth inhibition rate compared with TNF-α alone or PDTC 15 μmol/L alone (all P<0.01). Hoechst assay showed that 100 mg/L TNF-α, 15 μmol/L PDTC and combination of above two all induced cell apoptosis (P<0.01), and the combination group had significantly higher percentage of cell apoptosis (P<0.01). Survivin protein was significantly down-regulated in combination group as compared with single TNF-α (100 mg/L) group, but was not significant down-regulated as compared with single PDTC (15 μmol/L) group. Caspase-3 protein expression was significantly increased in combination group as compared with other two groups.

CONCLUSIONPDTC can enhance the cell apoptosis induced by TNF-α, which may be associated with the blocking of TNF-α-activated NF-κB signaling pathway by PDTC, the down-regulation of survivin expression, and up-regulation of caspase-3 expression.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUNDRheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic, systemic autoimmune inflammatory disorder. Many methods have been used to observe the progress of RA. The purpose of this study was to observe the progress of RA in rats with 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT), magnetic resonance (MR) imaging and arthritis score, and analyze the relationships among different methods in evaluation of RA.

METHODSSixteen healthy Sprague Dawley (SD) rats about 8-week old were randomly assigned to a RA group and a control group. Bovine type II emulsified incomplete Freud's adjuvant was used to induce arthritis in the RA group. Arthritis score of the rats in two groups were recorded, and (18)F-FDG PET/CT, MR imaging were performed both on the corresponding rats every 3 days. All the rats were sacrificed at week 5, and histopathological examination was performed on rat knees stained with haematoxylin and eosin.

RESULTSThe arthritis score and the standard uptake value (SUV) of knee joints in RA rats increased with the progression of arthritis gradually. Both peaks of arthritis score and SUV appeared at 21 days after the first immune injection, then the arthritis score and SUV of knee joints decreased slowly. The arthritis scores of knee joints in RA rats were positively correlated with their SUV changes. The MR images were confirmed by the histopathological studies.

CONCLUSIONPET/CT can detect the earliest molecular metabolism changes of RA, and MR imaging can follow up the dynamical anatomical changes of RA, all of which indicated that PET/CT and MR imaging may be applied as useful tools to monitor the progress of RA.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVETo investigate the independent prognostic factors of long-term survival for gastric stump cancer after radical resection.

METHODSThe clinicopathological and follow-up data of 63 patients with gastric stump cancer undergoing surgical treatment from January 1996 to December 2006 in our hospital were analyzed retrospectively, including age, gender, types of reconstruction, tumor location, histological types, TNM stages, surgical treatment, prognosis and etc. The survival was estimated using Kaplan-Meier method and compared using log-rank test. The effect of independent factors on prognosis was determined by Cox regression multivariate analysis.

RESULTSRadical resection was performed in 35 patients, including combined multiple organ resection (n=16). Surgery was palliative in 28 patients. All the 63 patients were followed up. The median survival time of these 63 patients was 21 months, and the overall 1-, 3-, 5-year survival rates were 76.2%, 31.7% and 18.8%, respectively. Univariate and multivariate analysis showed that surgical procedure, clinical stage and histological type were independent prognostic factors of gastric stump cancer, while age, gender, type of reconstruction and tumor location were not significantly correlated with prognosis.

CONCLUSIONSRadical resection, clinical stage and histological type are main prognostic factors for gastric stump cancer. Radical resection is an effective way to prolong the postoperative survival time in patients with gastric stump cancer, especially in the early stage.

OBJECTIVETo study the inhibition and killing effect of transgenic LIGHT umbilical cord blood mesenchymal stem cells (UCBMSCs) on stomach carcinoma.

METHODSThe LIGHT gene was recombined to construct the transfer plasmid pGC-FU-LIGHT by infusion technique. The 293T cells were co-transfected with the transfer plasmid pGC-FU-LIGHT, the construction plasmid Helper 1.0 and the envelope plasmid Helper 2.0 with the help of lipofectamine 2000 to produce lentiviral particles. Transgenic UCBMSCs(MSC-LIGHT) and empty carrier UCBMSCs (MSC) were obtained. Human gastric cancer cell SGC-7901 was injected into nude mice subcutaneously groin. The model of transplanted human gastric cancer cell SGC-7901 in nude mice was established. Tumorigenesis nude mice were separated into three groups randomly with 5 in each group: MSC-LIGHT group, MSC group, and NS group. Three groups of nude mice were injected around the tumor with MSC-LIGHT, MSC and NS every other day for 3 times. Four weeks later, the transplanted gastric cancer volume was measured. The expressions of LIGHT in the three groups were determined by RT-PCR and ELISA method. The necrosis area in the tumors was calculated under pathological examination.

RESULTSThe average volume of transplanted tumor was(0.45±0.25) cm(3) in MSG-LIGHT group, (0.64±0.36) cm(3) in MSG group, and(1.21±0.79) cm(3) in NS group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The LIGHT mRNA was 2.96±0.27, 1.23±0.47, and 0.73±0.10 respectively. The LIGHT protein was(167.89±2.31), (73.22±5.74), and (49.66±5.25) ng/L. The differences were all statistically significant among the three groups(both P<0.01). Pathological examination showed that the necrosis area was largest in MSC-LIGHT group.

CONCLUSIONTransgenic UCBMSCs secret LIGHT in a paracrine manner, which has inhibition and killing effects on stomach carcinoma.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUNDQuantitative T2 mapping has been a widely used method for the evaluation of pathological cartilage properties, and the histological assessment system of osteoarthritis in the rabbit has been published recently. The aim of the study was to investigate the effectiveness of quantitative T2 mapping evaluation for articular cartilage lesions of a rabbit model of anterior cruciate ligament transection (ACLT) osteoarthritis.

METHODSTwenty New Zealand White (NZW) rabbits were divided into ACLT surgical group and sham operated group equally. The anterior cruciate ligaments of the rabbits in ACLT group were transected, while the joints were closed intactly in sham operated group. Magnetic resonance (MR) examinations were performed on 3.0T MR unit at week 0, week 6, and week 12. T2 values were computed on GE ADW4.3 workstation. All rabbits were killed at week 13, and left knees were stained with Haematoxylin and Eosin. Semiquantitative histological grading was obtained according to the osteoarthritis cartilage histopathology assessment system. Computerized image analysis was performed to quantitate the immunostained collagen type II.

RESULTSThe average MR T2 value of whole left knee cartilage in ACLT surgical group ((29.05±12.01) ms) was significantly higher than that in sham operated group ((24.52±7.97) ms) (P=0.024) at week 6. The average T2 value increased to (32.18±12.79) ms in ACLT group at week 12, but remained near the baseline level ((27.66±8.08) ms) in the sham operated group (P=0.03). The cartilage lesion level of left knee in ACLT group was significantly increased at week 6 (P=0.005) and week 12 (P<0.001). T2 values had positive correlation with histological grading scores, but inverse correlation with optical densities (OD) of type II collagen.

CONCLUSIONThis study demonstrated the reliability and practicability of quantitative T2 mapping for the cartilage injury of rabbit ACLT osteoarthritis model.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVETo observe the therapeutic efficacy of Hewei Zhiou Recipe (HZR) combined ondansetron hydrochloride (OH) in treating vomiting in children patients with solid tumor.

METHODSEighty children patients with solid tumor at the Department of Tumor, Beijing Children's Hospital from January 2007 to January 2010 were randomly assigned to the treatment group and the control group by the random digit table method, 40 in each group. OH 4 mg was intravenously dripped to patients in the control group. Those in the treatment group took HZR on the basis of the same treatment as for the control group. The vomiting score and degree of the two groups were collected and compared by the end of the 1st to the 6th therapeutic course.

RESULTSThere was no statistical difference in the vomiting degree between the two groups by the end of the 1st therapeutic course (Z = -0.470, P>0.05). The vomiting degree was lessened in the treatment group by the end of the 2nd to the 6th therapeutic course, showing statistical difference when compared with the control group (Z = - 2.966, -3.256, -3.453, -4.870, -3.627, respectively, P<0.01).

CONCLUSIONHZR combined OH could effectively relieve the vomiting of children patients with solid tumor during chemotherapy.
