RESUMEN

Objective:To discuss the efficacy of early rehabilitation nursing for arthrogryposis and shoulder-hand syndrome in stroke patients.Methods: 100 cases of stroke patients were divided into intervention group and control group(each group 50). Patients in the control group received the regular nursing for stroke, while psychological nursing, continuous passive motion, and proper position were implemented in addition in the the intervention group. Fugl-Meyer assessment (FMA), activities of daily living (ADL) were used to evaluate the functional movement of the hand (seven items with a total score of 14) after 6 weeks. The modified Ashworth scale (MAS) and the modified rankin scale (MRS) were also observed based on symptom scoring. Results: The intervention group had significant difference in limb spasmand pain of shoulder joint compared with the control group(t=11.200,t=12.651;P<0.05). And early rehabilitation nursing was able to improve the locomotive function and daily life ability of the patients.Conclusion: Early rehabilitation nursing for arthrogryposis and shoulder-hand syndrome play a vital role in improving the living quality of stroke patients and making then return to the society.

RESUMEN

Objective To study the average difference of CHN atlas method bone age (BA) determination (left-vs.right-hand) for children and adolescents.Methods Radiographs of hands of healthy children and adolescent (age range:1.0-19.0 years) were analysed to determine BA,producing analysis results for 1380 hand images.The images were assessed by two radiologists based on CHN atlas method,who were blinded to the chronological age (CA) of them.The intra-and inter-observer variations were used for evaluating the reliability of CHN atlas method.The difference of BA using left-or right-hand BA was evaluated by t test.Results No significant difference was found for intra-or inter-observer variations (P > 0.05).The BAs of left-and right-hand radiograph showed significant difference in the groups for boys (16.0-16.9,17.0-17.9 years),girls (6.0-6.9 years) and both of them (6.0-6.9,16.0-16.9 years).The regression model analysis showed no significant difference(t =-0.427,P =0.670).Conclusion Comparison of left-and right-hand BA shos no significant difference using CHN atlas method,indicating that either hand could be used to determine BA.

RESUMEN

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To investigate the influence of N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC) on pulmonary injury and oxygen stress caused by smoke inhalation injury.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>Rats inflicted with smoke inhalation injury were employed as the model. WBC in BALF (bronchoalveolar lavage fluid), MPO (myeloperoxidase) activity, hydrogen peroxide (H(2)O(2)) content, GSH (glutathione) content and total antioxidant (TAO) capacity in pulmonary tissue were determined.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>Postinjury WBC in BALF, MPO activity in pulmonary tissue and H(2)O(2) content decreased obviously after NAC treatment. But the pulmonary tissue contents of GSH and ATO increased evidently after the treatment with NAC.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>NAC treatment could ameliorate pulmonary oxygen stress after smoke inhalation injury. AS a result, the pulmonary antioxidant capacity was improved.</p>
